Description
気バルブに接触しており、吸気側と同様の動弁構造で駆動されることにより、排気ポートと燃焼室とを連通および遮断する。

- シリンダヘッドと燃料ポンプ取付ブラケットとからなる収容部材と、
バルブ駆動カムおよび燃料ポンプ駆動カムが設けられ、前記収容部材に収容されるカム軸と、
前記燃料ポンプ取付ブラケットによって前記シリンダヘッドに取付けられ、前記燃料ポンプ駆動カムによって駆動される燃料ポンプと、
ケース部材を介して前記収容部材に取付けられ、前記カム軸の一端部に係合するバキュームポンプ駆動軸を有するバキュームポンプと、を備え、
前記バキュームポンプ駆動軸を回転自在に支持するバキュームポンプ軸受部と、前記バキュームポンプ軸受部に潤滑油を供給する給油路とが前記バキュームポンプに設けられ、
前記燃料ポンプ駆動カムを収容するカム室が前記収容部材に設けられ、
前記カム室と吸気通路とを接続するブローバイガス通路を有する内燃機関であって、
前記収容部材が、前記ケース部材が取付けられる側壁を有し、
前記側壁は、前記バキュームポンプに形成される前記バキュームポンプ軸受部を収容する軸受部収容室と、前記カム室とを仕切り、
前記側壁は、前記軸受部収容室と前記カム室とを連通して前記バキュームポンプが吸入した空気を前記カム室に吐出させる複数の連通孔を有し、かつ、前記燃料ポンプ駆動カムの側面に対向して設けられ、
前記複数の連通孔のうち少なくとも1つの連通孔を、前記カム軸の軸線方向から見て前記燃料ポンプ駆動カムと重なる位置に配置したことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 前記複数の連通孔が、前記カム軸の軸線より下方に配置された下側連通孔と、前記カム軸の軸線より上方に配置された上側連通孔とを有し、
前記下側連通孔の内径を、前記上側連通孔の内径よりも大きく形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記シリンダヘッドは、前記カム軸を下方から支持し、
前記燃料ポンプ取付ブラケットは、前記シリンダヘッドの一端部で前記カム軸を上方から覆うように形成され、
前記カム軸は、前記シリンダヘッドと前記燃料ポンプ取付ブラケットとの間に形成される軸受支持部で回転自在に支持され、
前記燃料ポンプ駆動カムにより駆動される前記燃料ポンプのプランジャと、前記バルブ駆動カムにより駆動されるバルブリフタが、前記カム軸の軸線方向から見て前記カム軸を挟むように、対向して配置されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関。
