Description
本発明は、気相または液相中の有機化合物および無機化合物の変換プロセス、特に吸着および分離のための吸着剤、触媒または触媒的成分として有用なゼオライト性の微孔性結晶質材料の技術分野に属する。
ゼオライトは、全ての頂点を共有して、分子次元のチャネルおよび/またはキャビティを含有する三次元構造を生じさせるTO4四面体のマトリックスによって形成された微孔性結晶質材料である。それらは可変的な組成を有し、およびTは、一般に、例えば、Si、Ge、Ti、Al、BまたはGaなどの酸化状態+3または+4を有する原子を表す。T原子のいくつかが+4未満の酸化状態を有する場合、形成された結晶質マトリックスは負電荷を与え、これは、チャネルまたはキャビティ中の有機または無機カチオンの存在によって補償される。これらのチャネルおよびキャビティは、有機分子およびH2Oを含有していてもよく、そのために、一般的な様式で、ゼオライトの化学組成は次の実験式:

流体流が、構造の表面の一部としてゼオライトITQ−55を含む膜構造、吸着剤構造、貯蔵構造または他の多孔性構造に暴露される時、流体流中の1種以上の成分が十分小さい動的直径を有する場合、流体流内の選択的分離が生じ得る。
a)炭化水素、アルコールおよび/または3個以上の重(非水素)原子を有する他の有機化合物からのCO2および/またはCOの分離、例えば、メタン、エタン、エチレン、アセチレン、天然ガス、排ガス(又は煙道ガス)、天然ガス液体またはそれらの組合せからのCO2および/またはCOの分離。ITQ−55による炭化水素の低い、または最小の吸着のため、この分離は、温度が炭化水素の吸着を実質的に最小にするために十分低い限り、任意の都合の良い条件下で実行することができる。

気体分離(または他の流体分離)は、種々の産業において重要であり、かつ典型的に、混合物の容易に吸着されない成分に対して、より容易に吸着される成分を流すことによって達成することができる。圧力スイング吸着(PSA)または温度スイング吸着(TSA)などのスイング吸着は、商業的に重要な分離手法の一例である。PSAプロセスは、圧力下で流体が微孔性吸着剤材料の細孔構造内またはポリマー材料の自由体積内に吸着される傾向があるという事実に依存する。圧力が高いほど、より多くの流体が吸着される。圧力が低下すると、流体は放出されるか、または脱着される。異なる流体が異なる程度まで吸着剤のミクロ細孔または自由体積を充填する傾向があるため、混合物中の流体を分離するためにPSAプロセスを使用することができる。例えば、メタンよりも多くの窒素が充填する天然ガスなどの気体混合物が、圧力下で、ポリマーまたは微孔性吸着剤を含有する容器に通される場合、窒素の一部または全部は吸着剤床に留まり、および容器から出る気体はメタンが豊富であろう。吸着剤床が、その窒素吸着能力の限界に達した時、圧力を低下させて、吸着された窒素を放出することによって再生することができる。これは次いで別のサイクルのために使用される。

種々の態様において、上記の吸着剤構造は、流体の貯蔵のためにも使用することができる。吸着剤構造への流体または流体成分の初期の吸着は、上記の吸着プロセスによるような、任意の好都合な様式で実行することができる。任意選択的に、貯蔵のための流体の吸着は、吸着の間に分離を実行するのとは反対に、実質的に単一成分から構成される入力ガスを使用して実行することができる。
分離に加えて、ゼオライトITQ−55は、様々な反応の触媒としての使用のためにも適切となることが可能である。いくつかの態様において、ITQ−55は、一般に、最大環径として8員環を有するゼオライトによって触媒されることが可能である反応の触媒として適切であることができる。例えば、任意選択的にアンモニアの存在下での窒素酸化物の選択的触媒還元は、8員環ゼオライトによって触媒されることが可能である反応である。

30℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のCO2の吸着能力の測定は、2.96ミリモル/gに相当する。同様に、20回の吸着/脱着サイクルを実行した後に得られた値は2.95ミリモル/gであり、このことは、材料ITQ−55は、高いサイクル数の後にその吸着能力を保持することを実証する。
60℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のCO2の吸着能力の測定は、2.35ミリモル/gに相当する。
60℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のメタンの吸着能力の測定は、この温度および圧力で24時間の平衡後、0.22ミリモル/gに相当する。
30℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のメタンの吸着能力の測定は、この温度および圧力で24時間の平衡後、0.18ミリモル/gに相当する。実施例5において観察されたものに関するこれらの条件下での最低吸着能力は、ゼオライトITQ−55細孔を通してのメタンの拡散能力の低下を示す。
メタンおよびCO2分離の選択性は、同一圧力および温度におけるCO2およびメタンの純粋気体の等温線の吸着値の比率から考察されている。分離プロセスの選択性は、これらの値間の比率がより高い限り、より良好であると考えられる。図4中、様々な温度における気体気圧に対するこの比率の変動を示す。
30℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のエタンの吸着能力の測定は、この温度および圧力で24時間の平衡後、0.14ミリモル/gに相当する。
30℃および9バールにおける、実施例2に従って調製されたITQ−55材料のエチレンの吸着能力の測定は、この温度および圧力で24時間の平衡後、0.75ミリモル/gに相当する。
ITQ−55の細孔構造をさらに調査するために、ITQ−55構造の分子動力学シミュレーションを単位格子において実行し、密度関数理論を使用して、単位格子における原子間の相互作用を決定した。繰り返し格子境界条件を使用して、効果的に「無限」格子を供給した。単位格子の体積変動を考慮するため、NPT集団において分子動力学シミュレーションを実行した。密度関数理論を使用して、最適単位格子構造は、オングストロームで、22.58(a);13.51(b);および14.74(c)であると計算された。これは、X線回折によって決定された22.39(a);13.34(b);14.5(c)の単位格子構造に相当する。最小細孔窓領域のサイズに関して、最適構造の密度関数理論によって決定された最小サイズ窓領域は、2.37オングストロームであった。X線回折データから決定された最小細孔窓領域は2.07オングストローム(最小)であった。これらの最小寸法のいずれも、ITQ−55細孔網目構造内で吸着されるものとして観察される(N2およびCO2などの)いくつかの分子のサイズよりも実質的に小さいことは留意すべきである。
図13は、周囲付近の圧力におけるITQ−55結晶の28℃における吸着等温線を示す。図13中、1グラムのITQ−55当たりの吸着された成分のミリモル量を圧力と比較して示される。図13に示されるように、CO2はITQ−55によって容易に吸着される。N2およびArも、より少ない量ではあるが、吸着される。対照的に、28℃においてメタンの吸着は実質的に観察されない。図13の等温線は、ITQ−55は、メタンなどのより大きい分子からのCO2、N2またはArの分離に適切となる可能性があることを示すように思われる。さらに、図13の等温線は、N2からのCO2の分離も実行可能であり得ることを示唆する。
図23Aおよび23Bは、ITQ−55結晶の走査型電子顕微鏡法(SEM)像を示す。この像は、約50μm〜約70μmのサイズを有する大型層状結晶を示す。
図24および25は、ITQ−55試料におけるCH4およびCO2(図24)ならびにN2(図25)に対する周波数応答による動力学的研究を示す。図24は、30℃および0.1バール(10kPa)の圧力におけるCH4およびCO2に相当する。図24中、CH4データに適合する線は線2411に相当し、他方、CO2データに適合する線は線2421に相当する。この結果は、ITQ−55におけるCH4は、研究された周波数領域に関して明白な視覚的吸着がないHeと同様の挙動を示す。図23Aおよび23Bに示されたITQ−55試料の60μm結晶におけるCO2拡散時間定数は0.003/秒である。
以下は予言的実施例である。天然ガス鉱床は、しばしば窒素を全気体組成物の一部分として含むことができる。さらに、天然ガスの抽出の間に、抽出を補助するために、窒素を井戸に導入することができる。このプロセスを「窒素フラッディング」と呼ぶことができる。結果として、天然ガスは、しばしば窒素を「汚染物質」として含む可能性がある。窒素は、一般に、多くの天然ガスの使用に有害ではないが、窒素が希釈剤の役割を果たすことができ、天然ガス供給装置の燃料比を低下させる。したがって、天然ガス供給物の窒素含有量を低下させるか、または最小化することは有益である可能性がある。天然ガスは、典型的に、他の小(C2〜C4)炭化水素と一緒に、メタンの実質的な部分を含有することができる。したがって、天然ガスからの窒素の分離に関して本明細書に記載される技術は、より一般に、メタン、エタンおよび3個以上の重原子を含有する他の有機化合物からの窒素の分離のためにも適切となることが可能である。これらの技術は、エチレンおよび/またはアセチレンからの窒素の分離のためにも適切となることが可能であるが、その選択性は、アルカンまたはアルコールに対する選択性とは異なり得る。
以下は予言的実施例である。天然ガス鉱床は、しばしばCO2を全気体組成物の一部分として含むことができる。CO2は、一般に、多くの天然ガスの使用に有害ではないが、CO2が希釈剤の役割を果たすことができ、天然ガス供給装置の燃料比を低下させる。さらに、いくつかの天然ガス供給源に関して、増加石油回収プロセスの一部として、炭化水素貯蔵器にCO2を注入するため、CO2が存在し得る。したがって、天然ガス供給物のCO2含有量を低下させるか、または最小化することは有益である可能性がある。天然ガスは、典型的に、他の小(C2〜C4)炭化水素と一緒に、メタンの実質的な部分を含有し得ることが留意される。したがって、天然ガスからのCO2の分離に関して本明細書に記載される技術は、より一般に、メタン、エタンおよび3個以上の重原子を含有する他の有機化合物からの窒素の分離のためにも適切となることが可能である。これらの技術は、エチレンおよび/またはアセチレンからのCO2の分離のためにも適切となることが可能であるが、その選択性は、アルカンまたはアルコールに対する選択性とは異なり得る。

以下は予言的実施例である。商業的に重要な種類の分離は、N2からのO2の分離である。空気はいくつかの反応のための供給物として使用することができるが、多くの状況において、空気と比較して酸素が豊富であるか、または減損しているかのいずれかの流れを有することが望ましくなる可能性がある。空気の出発流を使用して窒素から酸素を分離することに加えて、そのような分離は、一般に、酸素および窒素の両方を含有する他の流れにおいて実行することができる。
