Description
本開示の態様は、チタン及びチタン合金の改善された部品を提供することができるるつぼのための物質の組成物を提供する。一態様では、カルシウムモノアルミネートは、カルシウムアルミナセメントの形態で提供することができる。カルシウムアルミナセメントは、「セメント」又は「バインダー」とも呼ばれる。特定の実施形態では、カルシウムアルミナセメントをアルミナ微粒子と混合して、キャスタブルインベストメントるつぼ混合物を生成する。カルシウムアルミナセメントは、キャスタブルるつぼ混合物中で、約30重量%を超えてもよい。特定の実施形態では、カルシウムアルミナセメントは、キャスタブルるつぼ混合物中で約30重量%〜約60重量%である。キャスタブルるつぼ混合物(溶融るつぼ組成物)中で、30重量%を超えるカルシウムアルミナセメントを使用することが、別の特徴である。適切なカルシウムアルミナセメントの化学的性質及びアルミナの配合の選択が、るつぼの性能における要因である。一態様では、チタン合金との反応を最小限に抑えるために、十分な量の酸化カルシウムをるつぼ組成物中に供給してもよい。
本明細書に記載の通り、カルシウムアルミナセメントは、カルシウムモノアルミネートを含む。一実施形態では、カルシウムアルミナセメントは、カルシウムモノアルミネート及びカルシウムジアルミネートを含んでいてもよい。別の実施形態では、カルシウムアルミナセメントは、カルシウムモノアルミネート及びマイエナイトを含んでいてもよい。
特定の実施形態では、るつぼは更に、るつぼのバルクとるつぼキャビティとの間に配置される内在性フェースコートを含む。内在性フェースコートは、連続的な内在性フェースコートである。るつぼは、るつぼ製造時のるつぼ強度が改善される相を含むよう設計され、フェースコートは、溶融時の反応に対する耐性が向上するよう設計される。改善された特性を備えた鋳物を生成するためのチタン及びチタン合金を溶融するのに用いることができる改善された特性を備えたるつぼを提供する、溶融るつぼ組成物、フェースコート組成物、及びフェースコート及びるつぼのバルクのための好ましい成分相が今回同定された。
本明細書に記載した通り、一態様は、チタン及びチタン合金を溶融するためのるつぼである。一実施形態では、るつぼは、バルク、及び内部でチタン及びチタン合金を溶融するためのキャビティを含み、バルクは、本明細書に記載のカルシウムアルミナセメントを含み、特に、カルシウムモノアルミネートを含むカルシウムアルミナセメントを含む。別の実施形態では、るつぼは、バルクとキャビティとの間に約10μm〜約450μm形成される内在性フェースコートを含み、内在性フェースコートは、カルシウムモノアルミネートを含むカルシウムアルミナセメントを含む。

Claims (15)
- チタン及びチタン合金を溶融するためのるつぼ(100)であって、当該るつぼが、
バルク(200)と、
内部でチタン及びチタン合金を溶融するためのキャビティ(300)と、
前記バルク(200)と前記キャビティ(300)との間に形成される厚さ10μm〜450μmの内在性フェースコート(400)と
を含んでおり、前記バルク(200)及び内在性フェースコート(400)が、カルシウムモノアルミネートを含むカルシウムアルミナセメントを含んでいる、るつぼ(100)。 - 前記内在性フェースコート(400)が、連続的な内在性フェースコートを含む、請求項1に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記カルシウムアルミナセメント(120)が、カルシウムジアルミネート、マイエナイト、又はカルシウムジアルミネートとマイエナイトを更に含む、請求項1に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)と内在性フェースコート(400)とが異なる組成を有し、前記内在性フェースコート(400)が50μm未満の粒径のカルシウムアルミネートを含む、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)と内在性フェースコート(400)とが異なる組成を有し、前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)が、50μm超のアルミナ粒子(110)を含む、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)が50μm超のアルミナ粒子(110)を含み、前記内在性フェースコート(400)が50μm未満の粒径のカルシウムアルミネート粒子を含む、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記内在性フェースコート(400)は、前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)よりも重量分率でカルシウムモノアルミネートが20%以上多い、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記内在性フェースコート(400)は、前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)よりも重量分率でアルミナが20%以上少ない、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記内在性フェースコート(400)は、前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)よりも、重量分率で、カルシウムモノアルミネートが20%以上多く、アルミナが20%以上少なく、マイエナイトが50%以上少ない、請求項3に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記内在性フェースコート(400)中のカルシウムモノアルミネートの重量分率が0.60超であり、マイエナイトの重量分率が0.10未満である、請求項3に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 前記るつぼ(100)のバルク(200)中のカルシウムモノアルミネートの重量分率が0.05〜0.95であり、前記内在性フェースコート(400)中のカルシウムモノアルミネートの重量分率が0.10〜0.90である、請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 酸化アルミニウム粒子、酸化マグネシウム粒子、酸化カルシウム粒子、酸化ジルコニウム粒子、酸化チタン粒子、酸化ケイ素粒子又はこれらの組成物を更に含む、請求項1乃至請求項11のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)。
- 請求項1乃至請求項12のいずれか1項に記載のるつぼ(100)を形成する方法であって、
カルシウムアルミネートを液体と混合して、粘度50〜150センチポアズのカルシウムアルミネートのスラリーを生成するステップであって、初期カルシウムアルミネート/液体セメント混合物中の固形分が60%〜80%である、ステップと、
粗大酸化物粒子を有する最終カルシウムアルミネート/液体セメント混合物中の固形分が65%〜90%となるように酸化物粒子を前記スラリーに加えるステップと、
前記スラリーをるつぼ型(60)のキャビティ(60a)に導入するステップと、
前記導入ステップの前又は後に、前記るつぼ型(60)のキャビティ(60a)内に挿入される除去可能なるつぼキャビティ模型(70)の周りで前記スラリーを硬化させるステップであって、前記スラリーを前記るつぼ型(60)のキャビティ(60a)内で硬化させて、チタン含有物品の製造に有用なチタン及びチタン合金の溶融用るつぼ(100)を形成するステップと
を含む方法。 - チタン及びチタン合金の溶融方法であって、
請求項13に記載の方法で製造されるるつぼ(100)を用意するステップと、
前記るつぼ(100)を予熱するステップと、
加熱るつぼ(100)内でチタン又はチタン合金を溶融して、溶融チタン又は溶融チタン合金を生成するステップと
を含む方法。 - チタン及びチタン合金の鋳造方法であって、
請求項14に記載の方法を実施して、溶融チタン又は溶融チタン合金を得るステップと、
前記溶融チタン又は前記溶融チタン合金をインベストメント鋳型に流し込むステップと、
前記溶融チタン又は前記溶融チタン合金を凝固させて、凝固したチタン又はチタン合金の鋳物を形成するステップと、
前記凝固したチタン又はチタン合金の鋳物を前記インベストメント鋳型から取り出すステップと
を含む方法。
