Description
本願は、2012年2月28日出願の「混合用注射器」を発明の名称とする米国特許出願第13/385,627号、及び2012年1月23日出願の米国特許出願第61/632,263号に対して優先権を主張する。これら両出願は、参照することにより、その全体が本明細書において援用される。
本開示は医療分野、特に塞栓術など経皮的処置に関する。
A.処置の間、複数回再補充される性能。よって、ある実施形態において、混合用注射器は、混合を可能にする膜の破断を含む、ある使い切りの設計を含むことはできない。
B.例えば、混合物中に渦動又は噴出のような液体流パターンを形成することにより、強い混合作用を生じさせる。
C.標準的な注射器に最小限の改良を加える。
Claims (9)
- 液体と複数の粒子との混合物を含有するよう構成された円筒体と、
該円筒体内に少なくとも部分的に配置されたプランジャーに動作可能に結合した封止部と、
該円筒体の端部に位置する射出口と、
該プランジャーと該射出口との間の該円筒体の中に配置され、該プランジャーを作動させると、該円筒体の中の液体の噴出を生じさせるよう構成された混合用ディスクと、
を含み、
該液体の噴出は該液体と該複数の粒子とを混合するように構成されており、
前記混合用ディスクは、前記プランジャーの移動範囲の一部に少なくとも沿って、該混合用ディスクに作用する液体の力に応じて前記円筒体の内部で移動するように構成されている、混合用組立体であって、
前記混合用ディスクは、
近位端、中間部、及び遠位端を含む本体と、
該本体の中に配置されたキャビティと、
該本体の中に配置され、孔及び該キャビティが、該本体の該近位端から該遠位端まで延びる流体通路を含むように、該キャビティと連通する該孔と、
該キャビティに動作可能に結合した多孔性部材と、
を含む、混合用組立体。 - 前記キャビティは、該キャビティの遠位端に隣接して配置された複数の隔壁を更に含む、請求項1に記載の混合用組立体。
- 前記キャビティの前記遠位端の直径は、前記孔の近位開口部の直径よりも大きく、前記隔壁は前記孔の該近位開口部からほぼ径方向に延びる、請求項2に記載の混合用組立体。
- 前記孔は、前記混合用ディスク本体の中心軸から中心がずれた位置において該混合用ディスク本体の中に配置される、請求項1に記載の混合用組立体。
- 前記キャビティは、前記孔の中心軸が前記キャビティの中心軸と同一直線上にあるように、前記混合用ディスク本体の中に配置される、請求項1に記載の混合用組立体。
- 混合用組立体を使用して液体と複数の粒子との混合物を移動させる方法であって、
前記混合用組立体は、
液体と複数の粒子との混合物を含有するよう構成された円筒体と、
該円筒体内に少なくとも部分的に配置されたプランジャーに動作可能に結合した封止部と、
該円筒体の端部に位置する射出口と、
該プランジャーと該射出口との間の該円筒体の中に配置され、該プランジャーを作動させると、該円筒体の中の液体の噴出を生じさせるよう構成された混合用ディスクと、
を含み、
該液体の噴出は該液体と該複数の粒子とを混合するように構成されており、
前記混合用ディスクは、前記プランジャーの移動範囲の一部に少なくとも沿って、該混合用ディスクに作用する液体の力に応じて前記円筒体の内部で移動するように構成されており、
前記方法は、
液体と複数の粒子との混合物を前記混合用組立体の円筒体内に入れる工程と、
該粒子よりも孔径が小さく、該混合用組立体の該円筒体内に配置された混合用ディスク
に動作可能に結合したフィルタ要素を通して該液体の一部を移動させることにより、該液体の一部を該混合物から分離する工程と、
該液体の該一部が、該液体と該粒子とを混合するよう構成された流れパターンを形成するように、該混合用ディスクを通して該液体の該一部を導入することによって、該液体と該粒子を混合する工程、とを含む方法。 - 前記混合用ディスクの移動は前記混合用組立体の内径に配置された隆起によって制限されている、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の中に移動されたときの前記粒子の濃度は、前記液体の濃度とほぼ等しい、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の中に移動されたときの前記粒子の濃度は、前記液体の濃度よりも低い又は高い、請求項6に記載の方法。
