Claims (7)
- 複数のコイルが平面に沿って配列された2つの領域であって、それぞれの領域が対向する状態である折り畳み状態と、それぞれの領域が対向しない状態である見開き状態とに切り替え可能な2つの領域を有する検出部と、
前記検出部の前記2つの領域が前記折り畳み状態であるか、又は、前記見開き状態であるかを判断する第1判断手段と、
前記第1判断手段によって前記折り畳み状態であると判断された場合、前記検出部の状態を、消費電流が相対的に大きい通常状態から、相対的に小さい省電力状態に切り替える切替手段と
を備え、
前記検出部は、前記通常状態において、
前記2つの領域のうち一方を、前記複数のコイルに電流が通電された送信状態及び前記複数のコイルの誘導電流を検出可能な受信状態が交互に切り替わる送受信状態とし、同時に、前記2つの領域のうち他方を、前記複数のコイルの前記誘導電流を検出可能な受信状態が維持される連続受信状態とした第1状態と、
前記一方を前記連続受信状態とし、前記他方を前記送受信状態とした第2状態と
に交互に切り替え、
前記第1判断手段は、
前記連続受信状態である前記2つの領域の何れかの前記複数のコイルに前記誘導電流が検出されない場合、前記見開き状態と判断し、前記誘導電流が検出された場合、前記折り畳み状態であると判断することを特徴とする情報入力装置。 - 前記切替手段は、
前記2つの領域のうち一方の前記複数のコイルのうち、一部の複数のコイルのみに電流を通電させた第1省電力状態に切り替える第1切替手段を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報入力装置。 - 前記第1切替手段は、
前記一部の複数のコイルのみに電流を間欠的に通電させた前記第1省電力状態に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の情報入力装置。 - 前記切替手段は、
前記2つの領域のそれぞれの前記複数のコイルへの通電を停止させた第2省電力状態に切り替える第2切替手段を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れかに記載の情報入力装置。 - 前記第1判断手段によって前記折り畳み状態であると判断されてからの経過時間が所定時間よりも小さい場合、前記第1省電力状態を維持することを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の情報入力装置。
- 前記第2切替手段は、
前記第1判断手段によって前記折り畳み状態であると判断されてからの経過時間が所定時間以上の場合、前記第2省電力状態に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の情報入力装置。 - 前記検出部を前記第1状態と前記第2状態とに切り替える制御を行う制御部を備え、
前記第2切替手段は、前記制御部に供給される電源をOFFすることによって前記第2省電力状態に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の情報入力装置。
