(ii)金属酸化物の前駆体を溶媒相中で反応させて金属酸化物を形成し、この金属酸化物が中空ポリマーミクロスフェア上に層を形成し、それによって層状ミクロスフェアを形成するステップと、
(iii)溶媒から層状ミクロスフェアを分離するステップと、
(iv)層状ミクロスフェアを焼成して、中空金属酸化物ミクロスフェアを調製するステップと、
(v)適当な溶媒中で所望のコーティング材料と共に中空金属酸化物ミクロスフェアの分散液を調製するステップと、
(vi)0.5〜4時間にわたって撹拌するステップと
(vii)被覆されたミクロスフェアを溶媒から分離するステップと
を含む方法が提供される。
皮膚軟化剤、例えば、ステアリルアルコール、グリセリルモノリシノレエート、ミンク油、セチルアルコール、イソステアリン酸イソプロピル、ステアリン酸、パルミチン酸イソブチル、ステアリン酸イソセチル、オレイルアルコール、ラウリン酸イソプロピル、ラウリン酸ヘキシル、オレイン酸デシル、オクタデカン-2-オール、イソセチルアルコール、エイコサニルアルコール、ベヘニルアルコール、パルミチン酸セチル、シリコーン油、例えば、ジメチルポリシロキサン、セバシン酸ジ-n-ブチル、ミリスチン酸イソプロピル、パルミチン酸イソプロピル、ステアリン酸イソプロピル、ステアリン酸ブチル、ポリエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、ラノリン、カカオ脂、コーン油、綿実油、オリーブ油、パーム核油、菜種油、ベニハナ種子油、月見草油、ダイズ油、ヒマワリ種子油、アボカド油、ゴマ油、ココナッツ油、ラッカセイ油、ヒマシ油、アセチル化ラノリンアルコール、ワセリン、鉱油、ミリスチン酸ブチル、イソステアリン酸、パルミチン酸、リノール酸イソプロピル、乳酸ラウリル、乳酸ミリスチル、オレイン酸デシル、ミリスチン酸ミリスチル;
溶媒、例えば、エチルアルコール、イソプロパノール、アセトン、エチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル;並びに
粉末、例えば、チョーク、タルク、フラー土、カオリン、澱粉、ガム、コロイドシリカ、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム、テトラアルキル及び/又はトリアルキルアリールアンモニウムスメクタイト、化学修飾珪酸アルミニウムマグネシウム、有機修飾モンモリロナイトクレイ、水和ケイ酸アルミニウム、ヒュームドシリカ、カルボキシビニルポリマー、カルボキシルメチルセルロースナトリウム、エチレングリコールモノステアレート。
(例1)
中空ミクロスフェアの調製
Sunsphere(商標)(Rohm and Haas製)として入手可能な350nmの外径を有するポリ(スチレン-co-アクリレート)製の中空ポリマーミクロスフェア(250mg)を、エタノール100mlを含有するビーカー中に入れた。中空ポリマーミクロスフェアを、30分間にわたって音波処理によってエタノール中に懸濁させた。これに水0.72mlを加え、油浴上で70℃に加熱し、マグネチックスターラーを使用して撹拌し続けた。二酸化チタンの前駆体、即ち、チタンブトキシド(2.72ml))を懸濁液に1滴ずつ滴下することによって、中空ポリマーミクロスフェアに二酸化チタンを被覆した。絶えず撹拌しながら、反応を2時間続けた。こうして調製された粒子を、遠心分離によって懸濁液から分離し、エタノールで洗浄し、乾燥させた。乾燥された試料を、マッフル炉中5時間にわたって700℃で焼成した。
本発明の中空ミクロスフェアを用いて調製された本発明の光保護パーソナルケア組成物(例2)と従来の組成物(例3)との比較
例1において調製した試料を、光保護スキンケア組成物(例2)中に配合し、例1の粒子が市販の微粉化二酸化チタン(例3)に置き換えられた対照組成物と比較した。例2及び3の試料の組成をTable 1(表1)に示す。
本発明における被覆ミクロスフェアの使用の有用性を実証するための実験
例1の方法による中空チタニアミクロスフェアの試料を、被覆を施して(例4)及び被覆を施さずに(例5)調製した。本発明のパーソナルケア組成物に使用されるミクロスフェアは、光保護効力は高いが光触媒効力が低いことが望ましい。光触媒効力を、メチレンブルーを使用して測定した(パーソナルケア組成物に使用される有機サンスクリーンの代用物として染料を使用した)。例4及び例5の粒子の試料を、30分間にわたる音波処理によって、水中に懸濁させた。音波処理後、メチレンブルーを加え、次いで、試料を、20分間にわたって500mWで太陽シミュレーター(Suntest CPS+)を用いて、日光に曝露した。曝露後、試料を遠心分離して粒子を除去し、上清を吸光度測定に用いた。上清の吸光度を、Nanodrop(ThermoScientific)分光光度計を用いて測定した。
Claims (6)
- (a)a.被覆シェル、及び
b.空気を含む中空コア
を含む、平均直径100〜600nmのミクロスフェアであって、厚さ20〜100nmの前記シェルが、1.8〜3.0の範囲の屈折率を有する金属酸化物からなり、前記シェルが、1.3〜1.6の範囲の屈折率を有する、セルロースアセテートであるコーティング材料で被覆され、前記コーティング材料の厚さが10〜30nmの範囲である、ミクロスフェアと、
(b)化粧品として許容される基剤と
を含む光保護パーソナルケア組成物。 - 前記金属酸化物が二酸化チタン又は酸化亜鉛である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記コーティング材料が200〜400nmの波長範囲の光に対して透明である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記コーティング材料が20×10-3〜50×10-3J/m2の表面エネルギーを有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 化粧品として許容される基剤がクリーム、ローション、ジェル又はエマルジョンである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の光保護パーソナルケア組成物において使用するためのミクロスフェアの調製方法であって、
a.中空ポリマーミクロスフェアを溶媒中に入れるステップと、
b.金属酸化物の前駆体を溶媒相中で反応させて金属酸化物を形成し、この金属酸化物が中空ポリマーミクロスフェア上に層を形成し、それによって層状ミクロスフェアを形成するステップと、
c.溶媒から層状ミクロスフェアを分離するステップと、
d.層状ミクロスフェアを焼成して、中空金属酸化物ミクロスフェアを調製するステップと、
e.溶媒中で、1.3〜1.6の範囲の屈折率を有する、セルロースアセテートであるコーティング材料と共に中空金属酸化物ミクロスフェアの分散液を調製するステップと、
f.0.5〜4時間にわたって撹拌するステップと、
g.被覆されたミクロスフェアを溶媒から分離するステップと
を含む、方法。
