Description

本発明は、車両のハイブリッドパワートレインに係り、より詳しくは、内燃機関であるエンジン、および電気で駆動されるモーターから出力される動力を車両の駆動力として提供する車両のハイブリッドパワートレインに関する。
内燃機関であるエンジンから発生する動力と、電気で駆動されるモーターから発生する動力とを適切で調和のとれるように運用して車両を駆動するハイブリッドパワートレインは、基本的にエンジンのトルク特性とモーターのトルク特性との相互補完的な側面を活用して車両運行の効率性を向上させる。
よって、従来のハイブリッドパワートレインは、車両の出発時または低速の状況で主にモーターによって車両が駆動されることにより、低速トルク特性に優れるモーターの特性を活用するEVモードを実現し、中速または高速の状況では相対的にトルク特性に優れるエンジンで車両を駆動できるエンジンモードを実現し、高いトルクが要求される運転状況ではエンジンとモーターのトルクを全て使用することが可能なハイブリッドモードを実現することができるようにする。
車両に用いられるハイブリッドパワートレインは、上述したようなエンジンとモーターのトルク特性を最大限活用して様々な運転モードを実現するとともに、できるだけ簡単な構成で各モード別に多数の変速段を実現できるようにすることが好ましい。

本発明の目的とするところは、エンジンとモーターのトルク特性を最大限活用して様々な運転モードを実現するとともに、できるだけ簡単な構成で各モード別に多数の変速段を実現することにより、車両の効率と燃費を向上させることができる車両のハイブリッドパワートレインを提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するためになされた本発明に係る車両のハイブリッドパワートレインは、エンジンの動力供給を受けられるように設置された入力軸と、入力軸に備えられたエンジン側駆動ギアと、入力軸に対して平行に配置された出力軸と、エンジン側駆動ギアと噛み合うように出力軸に回転可能に備えられたエンジン側被動ギアと、入力軸と同心軸をなしてモーターによって回転するように設置されたモーター側駆動ギアと、モーター側駆動ギアと噛み合うように出力軸に固定的に備えられたモーター側被動ギアと、出力軸に回転可能に設置された出力ギアと、車両の前進駆動の際に、出力軸から出力ギアへのみ動力が伝達されるように出力ギアと出力軸との間に設置されたワンウェイクラッチと、出力ギアを出力軸に対して固定または解除する状態と、エンジン側被動ギアを出力軸に対して固定または解除する状態を切り換えることができるように備えられたクラッチ手段と、出力軸と出力ギアとの間を連結するように設置された遊星ギア装置とを含んでなることを特徴とする。
本発明によれば、エンジンとモーターのトルク特性を最大限活用して様々な運転モードを実現するとともに、できる限り簡単な構成で各モード別に多数の変速段を実現することにより、車両の効率及び燃費を向上させることができる。

図1に示す通り、本発明に係る車両のハイブリッドパワートレインの実施例は、エンジンの動力供給を受けられるように設置された入力軸INと、入力軸INに備えられたエンジン側駆動ギア1と、入力軸INに対して平行に配置された出力軸OUTと、エンジン側駆動ギア1と噛み合うように出力軸OUTに回転可能に備えられたエンジン側被動ギア3と、入力軸INと同心軸をなしてモーターMによって回転するように設置されたモーター側駆動ギア5と、モーター側駆動ギア5と噛み合うように出力軸OUTに固定的に備えられたモーター側被動ギア7と、出力軸OUTに回転可能に設置された出力ギア9と、車両の前進駆動の際に、出力軸OUTから出力ギア9へのみ動力が伝達されるように出力ギア9と出力軸OUTとの間に設置されたワンウェイクラッチ25と、出力ギア9を出力軸OUTに対して固定または解除する状態と、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに対して固定または解除する状態を切り換えることができるように備えられたクラッチ手段CLと、出力軸OUTと出力ギア9との間を連結するように設置された遊星ギア装置PGとを含んで構成される。
すなわち、エンジンEから入力軸INを経て出力軸OUTへ提供された動力と、モーターMから出力軸OUTへ提供された動力は出力ギア9を介して出力されるが、出力軸OUTと出力ギア9との間にはワンウェイクラッチ25と遊星ギア装置PGがあって、出力軸OUTの動力を2段に変換して出力ギア9へ出力することで、各モード別に2段の変速段を実現して、簡単な構成でモード別に複数の変速段を実現することにより、これら各モードの各変速段を車両の走行状態に応じて適切に使用して究極的に車両の燃費を向上させる。
遊星ギア装置PGは、キャリアCが出力軸OUTに直結し、リングギアRは出力ギア9に直結し、サンギアSは固定可能な状態で出力軸OUTに同心軸をなして設置され、サンギアSの回転を固定することができるようにブレーキBKが備えられる。
したがって、車両の前進の際に、ブレーキBKを解除した状態では出力軸OUTからの動力がワンウェイクラッチ25を介して出力ギア9へ直ちに出力される1段を実現する状態となり、ブレーキBKを締結した状態では出力軸OUTの動力がキャリアCへ供給されてリングギアRで増速され、出力ギア9へ出力される。この際、ワンウェイクラッチ25は、出力ギア9が出力軸OUTより速い速度で回転することを許容する。
クラッチ手段CLは、出力ギア9を出力軸OUTに対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された第1ドッグクラッチCL−D1と、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された第2ドッグクラッチCL−D2からなる。
クラッチ手段の第1ドッグクラッチCL−D1で出力ギア9を出力軸OUTに固定させる状態は、後進の際に、ワンウェイクラッチ25にもかかわらず、モーターMからの逆回転力が出力軸OUTから出力ギア9へ伝達されるようにして後進段を実現するためのものである。
一方、クラッチ手段の第2ドッグクラッチCL−D2は、エンジンからの動力を出力軸OUTへ伝達するために、必須的に、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに連結することに使用されるものであって、たとえば、モーターMの動力のみでEV走行中にエンジンEの始動を掛けた後、エンジンの動力を出力軸OUTに印加しようとするときには、後述のジェネレータGとエンジンを制御して出力軸OUTと出力側被動ギアとの間の相対速度を最小化した後、第2ドッグクラッチCL−D2を結合してエンジンの動力を出力軸OUTへ印加できるようにする。
また、クラッチ手段CLは、出力ギア9を出力軸OUTに対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えできるように構成された第1ドッグクラッチCL−D1と、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えできるように構成された同期噛み合い式シンクロ機構からなってもよい。
この場合には、前述したようにエンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに連結するとき、第2ドッグクラッチCL−D2の場合に比べて相対的にエンジン側被動ギア3と出力軸OUT間の速度差がさらに大きい状況においても、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに連結する動作が可能である。
一方、エンジン側駆動ギア1はエンジン側被動ギア3より直径が大きく形成され、モーター側駆動ギア5はモーター側被動ギア7より直径が小さく形成されるように構成して、エンジンEによって車両が駆動されるときにはエンジンの動力をオーバードライブ状態で駆動輪へ伝達するようにして車両の高速走行に主にエンジンが使用されるようにし、モーターMによって車両が駆動されるときにはモーターの動力を減速してトルクを増大して出力させることにより、車両の低速性能を担当できるように構成し、これによりエンジンとモーターのトルク特性が相互補完的に作用して、全体的に車両の燃費を向上できるように構成している。
本発明の実施例において、入力軸INはエンジンに直結した構造であって、エンジン始動の際には、クラッチ手段CLがエンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTと分離し、解除している状態を形成する。
また、本実施例は、入力軸INに備えられた発電用駆動ギア15と、入力軸に同心軸をなして回転可能に設置され、ジェネレータGを回転させるように連結された発電用被動ギア17と、入力軸INに対して平行に配置され、発電用駆動ギア15に噛み合う第1媒介ギア19、および発電用被動ギア17に噛み合う第2媒介ギア21を備えるアイドラー軸23とをさらに備えているため、エンジンからの動力によってジェネレータGから持続的に電気が発生するようになっている。
前述したようにジェネレータGから発生した電気はバッテリーに蓄積され、バッテリーの電気はモーターMへ供給きるように構成されている。
図2および図3に本発明のエンジンモードを示す。図2のエンジンモード1速は、クラッチ手段CLによってエンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに連結し、ブレーキBKを解除して実現する。
この状態で、エンジンEからの動力は入力軸INを介してエンジン側駆動ギア1、エンジン側被動ギア3およびクラッチ手段CLを経て出力軸OUTに伝達され、出力軸OUTの動力はワンウェイクラッチ25によって出力ギア9へ伝達されることで、エンジンモード1速状態を実現する。
図3のエンジンモード2速は、エンジンモード1速状態でブレーキBKを締結することにより出力軸OUTの回転力が遊星ギア装置PGで増速され、出力ギア9を駆動することで実現される。この際、出力ギア9は出力軸OUTより速く回転する。これはワンウェイクラッチ25によって許容される。
図4および図5はEVモードを示すものである。図4のEVモード1速は、モーターを駆動して発生した動力がモーター側駆動ギア5とモーター側被動ギア7を介して出力軸OUTへ提供され、出力軸OUTの動力はワンウェイクラッチ25を介して出力ギア9へ出力される。
図5のEVモード2速は、モーターMから出力軸OUTへ伝達された動力がブレーキBKでサンギアSを固定することにより遊星ギア装置PGで増速され、出力ギア9へ出力されて実現される。
図6および図7はハイブリッドモードの一つである並列モード示すものである。図6は並列モード1速を示しているが、エンジンEとモーターMが全て駆動されることにより、これらからの動力が出力軸OUTで合わせられ、この動力はワンウェイクラッチ25を介して出力ギア9へ出力される。
この際、クラッチ手段CLは、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTに連結させている状態である。
図7は並列モード2速状態を示すものであって、図6の状態でブレーキBKを締結することにより、出力軸OUTで合わせられたエンジンとモーターからの動力がキャリアCとリングギアRを経て増速され、出力ギア9へ出力される状態である。
図8および図9はハイブリッドモードの一つであるシリーズモードである。図8はシリーズモード1速を示しているが、エンジンの動力はジェネレータGを駆動して電気を発生させてバッテリーへ提供し、バッテリーから提供された電気でモーターを駆動し、モーターの動力は出力軸OUTからワンウェイクラッチ25を介して出力ギア9へ出力される状態である。
この際、クラッチ手段CLは、エンジン側被動ギア3を出力軸OUTから解除してエンジンの動力が出力軸OUTへ伝達されないようにする。
図9はシリーズモード2速状態を示すものであって、図8の状態でブレーキBKを作動させた状態として、モーターから出力軸OUTへ提供された動力は遊星ギア装置PGで増速されて出力ギア9へ出力され、2速の出力状態を実現している。
参考として、図2〜図9で相対的に太く表示された線は動力の主要な流れを表示している。
以上、本発明に関する好ましい実施形態を説明したが、本発明は前記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の属する技術分野を逸脱しない範囲での全ての変更が含まれる。

Claims (7)

  1. エンジンの動力供給を受けられるように設置された入力軸と、
    前記入力軸に備えられたエンジン側駆動ギアと、
    前記入力軸に対して平行に配置された出力軸と、
    前記エンジン側駆動ギアと噛み合うように前記出力軸に回転可能に備えられたエンジン側被動ギアと、
    前記入力軸と同心軸をなしてモーターによって回転するように設置されたモーター側駆動ギアと、
    前記モーター側駆動ギアと噛み合うように前記出力軸に固定的に備えられたモーター側被動ギアと、
    前記出力軸に回転可能に設置された出力ギアと、
    車両の前進駆動の際に、前記出力軸から前記出力ギアへのみ動力が伝達されるように前記出力ギアと出力軸との間に設置されたワンウェイクラッチと、
    前記出力ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定または解除する状態と、前記エンジン側被動ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定または解除する状態を切り換えることができるように備えられたクラッチ手段と、
    前記出力軸と前記出力ギアとの間を連結するように設置された遊星ギア装置とを含んでなることを特徴とする、車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  2. 前記遊星ギア装置は、キャリアが前記出力軸に直結し、リングギアは前記出力ギアに直結し、サンギアは固定可能な状態で前記出力軸に同心軸をなして設置され、
    前記サンギアの回転を固定することができるようにブレーキが備えられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  3. 前記クラッチ手段は、前記出力ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された第1ドッグクラッチと、前記エンジン側被動ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定される状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された第2ドッグクラッチからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  4. 前記クラッチ手段は、前記出力ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された第1ドッグクラッチと、前記エンジン側被動ギアを前記出力軸に対して固定させる状態と解除させる状態を切り換えることができるように構成された同期噛み合い式シンクロ機構からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  5. 前記エンジン側駆動ギアは前記エンジン側被動ギアより直径が大きく形成され、
    前記モーター側駆動ギアは前記モーター側被動ギアより直径が小さく形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  6. 前記入力軸がエンジンに直結することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
  7. 前記入力軸に備えられた発電用駆動ギアと、
    前記入力軸に同心軸をなして回転可能に設置され、ジェネレータを回転させるように連結された発電用被動ギアと、
    前記入力軸に対して平行に配置され、前記発電用駆動ギアに噛み合う第1媒介ギアおよび前記発電用被動ギアに噛み合う第2媒介ギアを備えたアイドラー軸とをさらに備えることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の車両のハイブリッドパワートレイン。
