Description
特許文献1では、ハウジング(密閉ケース)の内部に複数の二次電池(電池セル)が収容されている。二次電池には、設定された圧力で開放されうる排気部材が設置されている。ハウジングには、排気ホールが形成されている。排気ホールには、排気ホールを塞ぐようにバルブ部材が設けられている。バルブ部材は、ハウジングの内圧が設定された圧力になると開放される。
上記電池ユニットについて、前記開放部は、前記収容体における前記連通孔が設けられた壁部とは反対側の壁部と対向していることが好ましい。
これによれば、ケーブルとは反対方向に気体を排出することができるため、ケーブルの破損をより抑制することができる。
上記電池ユニットについて、前記開放部は、前記密閉ケース内の圧力を前記収容部内に開放することが好ましい。
上記電池ユニットについて、前記開放部が開放されたときの圧力の排出方向に前記収容体の前記連通孔が設けられていない壁部が位置することが好ましい。
電池セル61に異常が生じると、電池ケース62内で気体が発生し、電池ケース62の内圧が上昇する。電池ケース62の内圧が規定圧力を超えると、電池ケース62に設けられた圧力開放弁67が破断する。そして、電池ケース62に設けられた圧力開放弁67が破断すると、電池ケース62内の気体が密閉ケース41内に23排出される。
(1)第1の開放部55は、上壁部33及び側壁部34に対向し、第2の開放部56は底壁部32及び側壁部34に対向している。このため、密閉ケース41の内圧が上昇し、第1の開放部55及び第2の開放部56から気体が排出されたときに、気体は、底壁部32、上壁部33及び側壁部34に向けて排出される。したがって、配線48が、密閉ケース41から排出された気体に直接晒されることが抑制され、配線48が破損しにくい。
○図6に示すように、開放部は、孔72に設けられ、密閉ケース41の内圧が上昇したときに破断して開放される弁71であってもよい。この場合、孔72の軸方向が気体の排出方向となり、孔72の周縁と、収容体の壁部の内面と、を結ぶ仮想線上に連通孔35(配線48)が位置していなければよい。また、開放部は、配線48と対向していなければよく、連通孔35が設けられた側壁部34と対向してもよい。また、密閉ケース41に、他の部分よりも薄い薄肉部を設けて、薄肉部が破断することで開放部としてもよい。
○収容体として、車体11以外を用いてもよい。例えば、電池パック30を収容する筐体を収容体としてもよい。すなわち、電池パック30は、フォークリフト10以外に搭載されてもよい。
Claims (5)
- 複数の電池セルからなる電池モジュールと、
前記電池モジュールを複数収容する密閉ケースと、
前記密閉ケースに設けられ、前記電池モジュールに電力を供給するケーブルが接続されるコネクタと、を有する電池パックを、収容体に設けられた収容部に収容した電池ユニットであって、
前記収容体は、前記収容部の内部と外部とを連通する連通孔を有し、前記ケーブルは、前記コネクタから前記連通孔に向けて延びていて、
前記密閉ケースは、該密閉ケース内の圧力を開放する開放部を有するとともに、該開放部は前記収容体の壁部に対向し前記連通孔に対向してなく、前記開放部は、第1の開放部と第2の開放部とを有し、前記第1の開放部から前記ケーブルまでの距離と前記第2の開放部から前記ケーブルまでの距離とは異なることを特徴とする電池ユニット。 - 前記壁部は、前記連通孔が設けられた壁部と、前記連通孔が設けられていない壁部と、を含み、
前記開放部は、前記連通孔が設けられていない壁部と対向していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池ユニット。 - 前記開放部は、前記収容体における前記連通孔が設けられた壁部とは反対側の壁部と対向していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電池ユニット。
- 前記開放部は、前記密閉ケース内の圧力を前記収容部内に開放することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のうちいずれか一項に記載の電池ユニット。
- 前記開放部が開放されたときの圧力の排出方向に前記収容体の前記連通孔が設けられていない壁部が位置することを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のうちいずれか一項に記載の電池ユニット。
