Claims (1)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられた上流触媒コンバータと、
前記排気通路に設けられた下流触媒コンバータと、
前記排気通路を流れる排気の一部を取り出し前記内燃機関の吸気通路に還流する排気還流装置と、を備える内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、
前記上流触媒コンバータは、三元触媒と、当該三元触媒が担持された基材と、を備え、
前記下流触媒コンバータは、ゼオライトからなる担体及び当該担体に担持されたPdを有するNOx触媒と、当該NOx触媒が担持された基材と、を備え、
前記排気通路には、排気のエネルギーを利用して吸気を加圧する過給機が設けられ、
前記下流触媒コンバータは、前記上流触媒コンバータより下流側でありかつ前記排気還流装置の排気取り出し部より下流側に設けられ、
前記排気取り出し部及び前記下流触媒コンバータは、前記排気通路のうち前記過給機のタービンよりも下流側に設けられ、
前記上流触媒コンバータは、前記排気通路のうち前記タービンよりも上流側に設けられ、
前記NOx触媒におけるPdの含有量は当該NOx触媒全体に対し0.01質量%から10質量%の範囲内であり、
前記NOx触媒では、Pdはゼオライトとの相互作用によってPd2+として存在することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
