Description
この出願は、2010年5月20日に出願された米国特許出願第12/784,393号についての優先権およびその利益を主張する。なお、その開示の全体がこの参照によって、本願明細書に組み込まれるものとする。
(a) 外側の織物表面を有した全般的に管状の本体、および(b) 本体のキンクおよび圧壊に対する抵抗性のうち少なくとも一つを高めるように構成された、本体の外側織物表面に取り付けられる支持構造、を備える。支持構造は、第1の構成要素および第2の構成要素を有している。第2の構成要素は(i) ポリマー材料を含み、(ii) 第1の構成要素および本体より溶融温度が低く、(iii) 第1の構成要素を本体に接続する。
内側層14は、ePTFE、ポリウレタン、アクリレート、シリコーン、コポリマーおよびそれらの組み合わせのような生体適合性ポリマーといった、生体適合性の材料から製造できる。一つの実施形態において、内側層14は、ePTFE、ポリウレタン、シリコーンおよびアクリレートのうちの少なくとも一つから製造される。
図2〜図4を参照すると、人工器官10は、圧壊および/またはキンクに対する抵抗力を高めるために支持構造22が巻き付けられている。支持構造22は、人工器官10の全長に沿って、若しくは実際に選択された部分、例えば追加の支持を必要とする部分に沿って延びることができる。支持構造22は、人工器官の層とは別個に、例えば鋳造若しくは押し出しによって、製造できる。
本発明の人工器官10について説明してきたが、ここで本発明の人工器官10を製造する方法について説明する。
Claims (1)
- (a)外側の織物層を有した全体的に管状の本体、および
(b)前記本体の外側の織物層に取り付けられるとともに、前記本体のキンクおよび圧壊に対する抵抗力のうちの少なくとも1つを高めるように構成された支持構造、
を備える、移植可能な人工器官であって、
前記支持構造はポリプロピレン製の第1の構成要素およびポリエチレン製の第2の構成要素を有しており、
前記第2の構成要素は、
前記第1の構成要素及び前記本体の融点よりも低い、60℃〜105℃の融点を有し、
前記第1の構成要素の融点は130℃〜170℃であって、
前記第2の構成要素は、前記本体と前記第1の構成要素との接合を有し、且つ、
前記外側の織物層は、前記第2の構成要素の材料とは異なる材料で形成されるフィラメント又は糸の編物、織物又は組み紐のパターンを備え、且つ
前記支持構造の前記第1の構成要素は、前記外側の織物層から前記第1の構成要素を除去することにより前記第2の構成要素の残りの部分を除き全てを除去し、前記編物又は織物のパターンを実質的に損傷させないように、前記外側の織物層に除去できるように接続されている、
移植可能な人工器官。
