Description
Claims (5)
- 交互の左画像領域および右画像領域をプロジェクタから受け取り、立体視用にエンコードされた複数の画像を投影スクリーンへ伝達するための装置であって、
前記プロジェクタの投影レンズから画像光エネルギーを受け取るべく配置され、受け取った前記画像光エネルギーを第1パスに沿って進む第1パス画像光エネルギーおよび第2パスに沿って進む第2パス画像光エネルギーへと分離する第1偏光スプリッタ部と、
前記第2パス画像光エネルギーを受け取り、前記第2パス画像光エネルギーを前記第2パスに沿って投影スクリーンの表面へ向けて反射すべく前記第2パスに配置される反射器であって、前記第2パス画像光エネルギーは前記反射器によって前記投影スクリーン上で前記第1パス画像に実質的に重なるように方向づけられる反射器と、
前記第1パス画像光エネルギーを受け取るために前記第1パスに配置され、前記プロジェクタからの前記交互の左画像領域および右画像領域に同期して変調特性をスイッチする第1偏光変調器と、
前記第2パス画像光エネルギーを受け取るために前記第2パスに配置され、前記プロジェクタからの前記交互の左画像領域および右画像領域に同期して変調特性をスイッチする第2偏光変調器と、
を備え、
前記装置は、前記プロジェクタからの前記交互の左画像領域および右画像領域に同期する前記第1パス画像光エネルギーおよび前記第2パス画像光エネルギーのそれぞれを、それぞれが前記投影スクリーン上の投影において同じ円偏光に変調された偏光状態を有するように、円偏光変調する、装置。 - 前記反射器は複数の反射面を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1偏光スプリッタ部は、
偏光ビームスプリッタ、ワイヤグリッド偏光子、およびマクニールプリズムを有する群のうちの1つを含む、請求項1または2に記載の装置。 - 前記第1パスおよび前記第2パスの1つに配置されたクリーンアップ偏光子をさらに備える、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記第1偏光変調器および前記第2偏光変調器の少なくとも1つは、互いに軸が交差しており、位相をずらして駆動される2つのpiセルによる機構を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
