Description
図1に示すように、ACCシステムは、レーダ装置1と、車間制御ECU30と、エンジンECU32と、ブレーキECU34とを備えている。なお、本実施形態では、レーダ装置1は、車間制御ECU30に接続されている。また、各ECU30,32,34は、いずれもマイコンを中心に構成され、車内LAN(Local Area Network)を介して相互に接続されている。
ブレーキECU34は、ブレーキペダルの操作状態や車間制御ECU30からの指令に従って制動装置の状態を制御するブレーキ電子制御装置である。
次に、レーダ装置1の構成について説明する。
レーダ装置1は、変調指令Mに従って、三角波状の変調信号を生成する信号処理部10と、信号処理部10にて生成された変調信号が印加され、その変調信号に従って発振周波数が変化する電圧制御発振器(VCO)12と、VCO12の出力を送信信号Ssとローカル信号Lとに電力分配する分配器14と、分配器14から取り出された送信信号Ssを増幅する増幅器16と、増幅器16からの出力である送信信号Ssに応じた電磁波をレーダ波(送信波)として放射する送信アンテナ18とを備えている。
ミキサ21は、VCO14が生成する高周波信号の中心周波数Foを中心とする±数GHzの周波数範囲内の入力信号(受信信号Sr、ローカル信号L)を、両入力信号の差の周波数成分からなる低周波信号に変換する。
レーダ装置1では、図2(a)に実線で示すように、三角波状の変調信号により周波数変調され周波数が時間に対して直線的に漸次増減する送信信号Ssをレーダ波として送信し、物標により反射されたレーダ波(反射波)を受信する。この時、受信信号Srは、図2(b)に点線で示すように、レーダ波が物標との間を往復するのに要する時間、即ち、物標までの距離に応じた時間Trだけ遅延し、物標との相対速度に応じた周波数fdだけドップラーシフトする。
また、ビート周波数fb1、fb2の特定には一般に信号処理が用いられている。具体的には、ビート信号Bをサンプリングし、変調種別毎にビート信号Bの周波数分布を求め、信号強度がピークとなる周波数をビート周波数fb1、fb2としている。
ここで、レーダ装置1の各部の配置について説明する。
図3に示すように、レーダ装置1は、低周波回路部2、アンテナ部3、および高周波回路部4が2つの板状のプリント基板のいずれかの一面にそれぞれ配置されて構成される。
主プリント基板6は、図5に示す従来装置と同様に、例えばガラスエポキシ樹脂や紙フェノールといった一般的な絶縁材からなり、低周波回路部2と高周波回路部4とを一方の面である主面に実装可能な面積を有する。
以上説明したように、レーダ装置1では、主プリント基板6よりも小さい副プリント基板7だけに、誘電体損失の抑制に必要な絶縁材を用いることで、より高い周波数のミリ波等の高周波信号を扱うことができるため、従来装置のプリント基板の素材を全て一般的な絶縁材から特別な絶縁材に替える必要がなくなり、結果的に素材コストを抑制することができる。
以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲において、様々な態様にて実施することが可能である。
Claims (2)
- 高周波信号に応じた電磁波であるレーダ波を送信する送信アンテナ(18)と、外部から到来する前記レーダ波の反射波を受信する受信アンテナ(20)とを有するアンテナ部(3)と、
前記高周波信号を生成するとともに、前記受信アンテナから入力される受信信号と該高周波信号とに基づいて低周波信号を生成する高周波回路部(4)と、
前記高周波回路部により生成された低周波信号に基づいて前記レーダ波を反射した物標に関する情報を求める低周波回路部(2)と、
前記高周波回路部および前記低周波回路部を主面に実装可能な面積を有する板状の基板であって、絶縁体によって構成される主プリント基板(6)と、
前記高周波回路部をおもて面に実装可能な面積を有する板状の基板であって、前記主プリント基板よりも誘電正接が低い絶縁体によって構成される副プリント基板(7)と、
を備え、
前記主プリント基板には、前記低周波回路部が主面に配置され、
前記副プリント基板には、前記高周波回路部がおもて面、前記アンテナ部が裏面にそれぞれ配置され、
前記副プリント基板が前記主プリント基板における主面の空きスペースに実装されてなるレーダ装置であって、
前記副プリント基板は、前記おもて面をフェイスダウンさせて前記主プリント基板に実装されるとともに、前記高周波回路部と前記低周波回路部とを電気的に接続するように接続用金属(38)を介して前記主プリント基板に実装されていることを特徴とするレーダ装置。 - 当該レーダ装置は、車両に搭載され、
前記物標は、当該車両の進行方向に位置する他車両であり、
前記低周波回路部は、前記他車両と当該車両との距離を算出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のレーダ装置。
