・ 固有の耐擦傷性および耐引掻性のために、これらのガラスを強化する必要がなく、したがって、これらのガラスは、フルシートとして、処理されイオン交換されたSLSガラスがレーザ切断されたSLSである場合に典型的に見られる結果として生じた反りがなく、次いで、レーザ切断することができる;

・ イオン交換プロセスがないことは、イオン交換ガラスは、最小のイオン移動度および結果として生じる強度の変化を確実にするために交換温度より低く処理する必要があるので、処理温度が、イオン交換ガラスにおけるよりも、高くて差し支えないことを意味する;
・ 開示された無アルカリアルカリ土類アルミノケイ酸塩のタッチスクリーン用ガラスは、典型的にディスプレイ用ガラスと密接に一致した耐擦傷性を示し、これは転じて、ITOガラスのディスプレイ用ガラスとの将来的なハイブリッド組込みが可能になる;
・ イオン交換がないことは、均一であり、部分的に応力下でも部分的に張力下でもない縁を意味し、これは、適切なサイズに切断されたときに、上面と下面のみが化学強化され、縁の中は強化されておらず張力下にある縁を示すSLSガラスの特徴と対照的である。その結果、無アルカリアルカリ土類アルミノケイ酸塩タッチスクリーン基板は、張力下にある露出縁を有する基板に典型的に存在する、時間の経過と共に縁の強度の減少をもたらすガラス中の疲労効果による置割れの傾向がない。これらの遅延した疲労効果は、ガラスが曝露されたであろう温度または湿度もしくはそれらの組合せに相関するようである。
Claims (6)
- アルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラスであって、アルカリを実質的に含まず、59〜64モル%のSiO2、8〜12モル%のAl2O3、11〜19モル%のB 2 O 3 、2〜7モル%のMgO、1〜8モル%のCaO、1〜6モル%のSrO、および0〜6モル%のBaOを含み、Al2O3(モル%)+B2O3(モル%)/RO(モル%)≧2.26、およびAl2O3(モル%)/RO(モル%)>0.65であり、上記式中、ROはアルカリ土類酸化物成分である、アルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
- 少なくとも1000g重(約9.8N)のビッカース垂直/放射状割れ目裂開始閾値を示す、請求項1記載のアルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
- 少なくとも1100g重(約10.8N)のビッカース垂直/放射状割れ目裂開始閾値を示す、請求項1記載のアルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
- 関係式:25×10-7/℃≦CTE≦40×10-7/℃を満たす、温度範囲0〜300℃に亘る線熱膨張係数(CTE)を示す、請求項1から3いずれか1項記載のアルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
- 少なくとも27.5cm3/モルのモル体積を有する、請求項1から4いずれか1項記載のアルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
- 75GPa未満のヤング率を有する、請求項1から5いずれか1項記載のアルカリ土類アルミノホウケイ酸塩ガラス。
