Claims (3)
- 内周側がモータ収容部位(2C)となった筒状のハウジング(2)と、該ハウジング(2)のモータ収容部位(2C)に収容され中空な回転軸(5)を回転駆動するエアモータ(3)と、前記ハウジング(2)の前側に位置して該エアモータ(3)の回転軸(5)の先端に取付けられ該回転軸(5)と一緒に回転する間に供給された塗料を噴霧する回転霧化頭(16)と、前記回転軸(5)内に径方向の隙間を有する状態で軸方向に延び該回転霧化頭(16)に向けて塗料を供給するフィードチューブ(17)と、前記ハウジング(2)の前側に設けられ前記回転霧化頭(16)から噴霧された塗料の噴霧パターンを整えるためのシェーピングエアを噴出するシェーピングエアリング(19)とを備え、
前記エアモータ(3)は、
軸方向に延びた筒体からなり前記ハウジング(2)の前記モータ収容部位(2C)に収容されたモータケース(4)と、
該モータケース(4)内に軸方向に延びて設けられた前記回転軸(5)と、
該回転軸(5)の基端側に設けられタービンエアが供給されることにより該回転軸(5)を回転駆動するタービン(6)と、
前記回転軸(5)の外周側に位置して前記モータケース(4)に設けられ軸受エアが供給されることにより前記回転軸(5)をラジアル方向に支持するラジアルエア軸受(8)と、
前記タービン(6)を前,後方向に挟むように前記モータケース(4)に設けられ軸受エアが供給されることにより前記回転軸(5)をスラスト方向に支持する前スラストエア軸受(9),後スラストエア軸受(12)と、
前記タービン(6)にタービンエアを供給するエア供給通路(14A)および前記タービン(6)を回転駆動した後の排気エアを排出するエア排出通路(14B)からなるタービンエア通路(14)と、
前記ラジアルエア軸受(8)と前記前,後のスラストエア軸受(9,12)に軸受エアを供給する軸受エア通路(15)とにより構成してなる回転霧化頭型塗装機において、
前記回転軸(5)と前記フィードチューブ(17)との間には、前記タービンエアの一部と前記後スラストエア軸受(12)から排出された排気エアが流出する環状空間(18)を設け、
前記回転軸(5)には、前記ラジアルエア軸受(8)と前記回転霧化頭(16)との間に位置して径方向に貫通するエア流出孔(25,51,61,101)を設け、
前記エア流出孔(25,51,61,101)は、前記回転軸(5)の周方向に間隔をもって複数箇所に配置され、前記環状空間(18)を流れる前記排気エアを前記回転霧化頭(16)よりも後位置で前記回転軸(5)の外部に流出させる構成としたことを特徴とする回転霧化頭型塗装機。 - 前記回転軸(5)の内周面(5B)および/または前記フィードチューブ(17)の外周面(17B)には、前記エア流出孔(25,51)の位置よりも前記回転霧化頭(16)に近い位置に、径方向に突出して前記環状空間(18)を遮る環状凸部(31,41,52,71,72,81,91,92,93)を設ける構成としてなる請求項1に記載の回転霧化頭型塗装機。
- 前記エア流出孔(51)は、前記回転軸(5)の内周面(5B)に開口する開口端(51A)よりも外周面(5C)に開口する開口端(51B)が軸方向の前側となるように傾けて形成してなる請求項1に記載の回転霧化頭型塗装機。
