Description

本発明の対象は、特に歯科医学的に適用するための着色セラミックス焼結体の製造法である。
セラミックスは、その生体適合性のために、義歯学における有利な原料の1つである。Al23−、ZrO2−、Si34−、MgO−及びSiAlON−セラミックスは特に好適である。セラミックスの着色により、色を天然歯の色に適合させることのできる歯科補綴物を製造することができる。セラミックス体上に着色された層を別個の方法で施与するか、又は、セラミックス体の多孔質の表面層を着色剤の液体調製物に含浸させ、かつ後処理することは知られている。これは費用のかかる方法である。
本発明の課題は、付加的に卓越した機械的特性を示し、かつ予備焼結された状態で白素地として容易に加工が可能な、特に歯科医学的に適用するための着色セラミックス焼結体を製造することである。
前記課題の解決は、セラミックスを着色する1種以上の物質をセラミックスのベース組成物に粉末形で添加するという製造法により行われる。
前記方法の利点は、完全にくまなく着色されたセラミックス焼結体が生じることである。セラミックス体上に着色された層を別個の方法で施与するか、又は、セラミックス体の多孔質の表面層を着色剤の液体調製物に含浸させ、かつ後処理することは、もはや不要である。
着色剤として、酸化鉄(Fe23)の他に、他の金属酸化物、例えば特にCeO2、Er23、Pr611並びに希土類元素又は副族の元素も好適である。
結果として、均一にくまなく着色されたセラミックス焼結体が得られ、前記セラミックス焼結体は、その白素地密度に基づき白素地として容易に加工できるため、この状態ですでに、例えばブリッジの形の歯科補綴物としての最終形が達成される。
粉末形のセラミックスベース組成物は、粉末形で添加すべき1種以上の着色剤と乾燥した状態で混合され、その後、材料に適合させた加圧により、有利に軸方向又は等方圧加圧により成形される。混合すべき物質の粒径は、混合物が均質となり、かつ偏析が生じないように相互に適合されている。前記粒径は、高強度のセラミックスの製造のために通常の、それぞれの原料に適合された範囲内である。
加圧された成形半加工体は、それぞれの原料に適合された950℃〜1200℃の温度で予備焼結され、白素地密度は所定の2.8g/cm3〜3.30g/cm3となる。予備焼結後に、旋削、フライス加工、研磨又は前記加工法の好適な組合せにより、白素地が最終形へと加工される。白素地の3点曲げ強さは40MPa〜60MPaである。
加工の後、硬質焼結又は緻密焼結が、それぞれの原料組成物に適合させた1200℃〜1900℃の温度で行われる。必要な場合には、焼結を熱間等方圧加圧、HIPとして行うことができるか、又は、完全な緻密焼結のために更にHIP後処理が行われる。
加圧された成形半加工体を、直接、硬質又は緻密に焼結し、焼結体を、材料を除去する工具を用いた硬質加工により、例えばブリッジへと最終的な成形を行うという可能性も存在する。
実施例に基づき、本発明を詳説する。
くまなく着色された酸化ジルコニウム体を製造する。まず、材料調製を乾燥状態で行う。原料は以下のものから構成されている:
23 5.15±0.2w%
HfO2 <4.0w%
Al23 0.25±0.15w%
他の酸化物 <0.5w%
Fe23 0.01w%〜0.30w%
ZrO2 100w%までの残分
着色のためにベース組成物に添加されるFe23の量は、要求される最終的な色に依存する。
乾燥混合の後、軸方向加圧及び950℃〜1200℃の温度での予備焼結を行う。2.8g/cm3〜3.30g/cm3の密度を有する白素地を、例えば、旋削又はフライス加工又は研磨によりその最終形にする。白素地の3点曲げ強さは40MPa〜60MPaである。加工の後、硬質焼結又は緻密焼結を1100℃〜1900℃の温度で行う。焼結体は完全にくまなく着色されている。

Claims (3)

  1. 歯科医学的に適用するための着色セラミックス焼結体の製造法において、1種以上の着色剤を、乾燥した状態で粉末形で、製造すべきセラミックス体のベース組成物の原料に添加し、前記原料と乾燥した状態で均質に混合し、均質に混合してなる粉末混合物を、加圧して成形半加工体とした後、硬質又は緻密にするための焼結を行なうに先立ち、白素地密度が2.8〜3.3g/cm3となるようにするための予備焼結と、焼結体の最終形になるように白素地の加工とを順次行ない、前記原料が、ZrO 2 セラミックスであり、前記着色剤が、Fe23、ならびにCeO2、Er23およびPr611で代表される希土類酸化物の群から選択される少なくとも1種の金属酸化物であることを特徴とする方法。
  2. 成形体を、それぞれの原料組成物に適合させた950℃〜1200℃の温度で予備焼結する、請求項1記載の方法。
  3. 硬質又は緻密にするための焼結を、それぞれの原料組成物に適合させた1100℃〜1900℃の温度で行う、請求項1または2記載の方法。
