また、本発明の積層装置は、所定形状のセパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部と、所定形状の電極を搬送する電極搬送部と、前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように前記セパレータ搬送部および前記電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させる同期手段と、を有している。そして、本積層装置は、電極およびセパレータをともに移動させて搬送方向の下流側からセパレータを電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータをセパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層する。さらに、前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有する。また、前記電極搬送部は、前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって搬送される2枚のセパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送する。また、前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状のセパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有している。前記吸着領域は、吸着して搬送する前記セパレータに対する吸着を、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで維持する。
また、本発明の積層方法は、所定形状のセパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部および所定形状の電極を搬送する電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させて前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように搬送する。そして、本積層方法は、電極およびセパレータをともに搬送して移動させて搬送方向の下流側からセパレータを電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータをセパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層する。さらに、前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有する。また、前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって異なる2枚の前記セパレータを搬送しつつ、前記電極搬送部によって2枚の前記セパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送する。また、前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状の前記セパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有し、前記吸着領域により前記セパレータを吸着し、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで前記吸着領域による吸着を維持する。
また、本発明の積層装置によれば、セパレータおよび電極を所定の位置で重なるように同期させて移動させつつ搬送方向の下流側からセパレータを電極へ受け渡し、セパレータをセパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて電極に積層するため、セパレータおよび電極を停止させずに高速な積層が可能となり、電池の製造時間を短縮できる。さらに、電極搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を備え、第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって搬送される2枚のセパレータの間に電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送するため、正極の両面に2枚のセパレータを同時に積層でき、高速に製造できる。また、セパレータ搬送部によりセパレータが電極搬送部によって搬送される電極と接するまで吸着されているため、積層の高速化を図っても、セパレータに皺等が発生しない。
また、本発明の積層方法によれば、セパレータおよび電極を所定の位置で重なるように同期させて移動させつつ搬送方向の下流側からセパレータを電極へ受け渡し、セパレータをセパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて電極に積層するため、セパレータを電極に対して円滑に受け渡しつつ積層でき、積層の際のセパレータおよび電極における皺の発生を抑制できる。さらに、電極搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を備え、第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって搬送される2枚のセパレータの間に電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送するため、電極の両面に2枚のセパレータを同時に積層でき、高速に製造できる。また、セパレータ搬送部によりセパレータが電極搬送部によって搬送される電極と接するまで吸着されているため、積層の高速化を図っても、セパレータに皺等が発生しない。
まず、図1を参照して、積層装置により形成されるリチウムイオン二次電池(積層型電池)について説明する。図1はリチウムイオン二次電池の外観を表した斜視図、図2はリチウムイオン二次電池の分解斜視図、図3は負極および袋詰正極の平面図である。
次に本発明の一実施形態に係る積層装置について、図面を参照しつつ説明する。

Claims (10)
- 電極を2枚のセパレータにより挟み込み、前記セパレータの端部同士を接合して袋状に形成してなる袋詰電極を製造するための積層装置であって、
所定形状の前記セパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部と、
所定形状の前記電極を搬送する電極搬送部と、
前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように前記セパレータ搬送部および前記電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させる同期手段と、を有し、
前記電極およびセパレータをともに移動させて搬送方向の下流側から前記セパレータを前記電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータを前記セパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層してなり、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有し、
前記電極搬送部は、前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって搬送される2枚のセパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送する、積層装置。 - 前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状のセパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有し、
前記吸着領域は、吸着して搬送する前記セパレータに対する吸着を、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで維持する、請求項1に記載の積層装置。 - 前記吸着領域は、吸着して搬送する前記セパレータに対する吸着を、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接した後に解除する、請求項2に記載の積層装置。
- 所定形状のセパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部と、
所定形状の電極を搬送する電極搬送部と、
前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように前記セパレータ搬送部および前記電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させる同期手段と、を有し、
前記電極およびセパレータをともに移動させて搬送方向の下流側から前記セパレータを前記電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータを前記セパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層してなり、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有し、
前記電極搬送部は、前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって搬送される2枚のセパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送し、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状のセパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有し、
前記吸着領域は、吸着して搬送する前記セパレータに対する吸着を、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで維持する、積層装置。 - 前記吸着領域は、吸着して搬送する前記セパレータに対する吸着を、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接した後に解除する、請求項4に記載の積層装置。
- 電極を2枚のセパレータにより挟み込み、前記セパレータの端部同士を接合して袋状に形成してなる袋詰電極を製造するための積層方法であって、
所定形状の前記セパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部および所定形状の前記電極を搬送する電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させて前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように搬送し、
前記電極およびセパレータをともに移動させて搬送方向の下流側から前記セパレータを前記電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータを前記セパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層し、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有し、
前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって異なる2枚の前記セパレータを搬送しつつ、前記電極搬送部によって2枚の前記セパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送する、積層方法。 - 前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状のセパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有し、
前記吸着領域により前記セパレータを吸着し、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで前記吸着領域による吸着を維持する、請求項6に記載の積層方法。 - 搬送される前記電極および前記吸着されたセパレータが接した後に、前記吸着領域による吸着を解除する、請求項7に記載の積層方法。
- 所定形状のセパレータを保持した状態で搬送するセパレータ搬送部および所定形状の電極を搬送する電極搬送部の搬送位置および搬送速度を同期させて前記セパレータおよび電極が所定の位置で重なるように搬送し、
前記電極およびセパレータをともに移動させて搬送方向の下流側から前記セパレータを前記電極に受け渡しつつ、当該セパレータを前記セパレータ搬送部から順次離脱させて前記電極に積層し、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、各々が異なるセパレータを保持した状態で搬送する第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部を有し、
前記第1セパレータ搬送部および第2セパレータ搬送部の各々によって異なる2枚の前記セパレータを搬送しつつ、前記電極搬送部によって2枚の前記セパレータの間に前記電極が重なるように当該電極を搬送し、
前記セパレータ搬送部は、所定形状のセパレータを吸着可能な吸着領域を外周面に備えるとともに回転することで吸着した前記セパレータを搬送する円柱状回転体を有し、
前記吸着領域により前記セパレータを吸着し、当該セパレータが前記電極搬送部によって搬送される前記電極と接するまで前記吸着領域による吸着を維持する、積層方法。 - 搬送される前記電極および前記吸着されたセパレータが接した後に、前記吸着領域による吸着を解除する、請求項9に記載の積層方法。
