第1及び第2のクレードル半部を有し、第1及び第2のクレードル半部の各々は、第1の材料で作られた鋳造端部材と、第2の材料で作られた第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブとを有し、第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブの各々は、開口した第1の端部及び第1の端部と反対側の開口した第2の端部を有し、鋳造端部材は、第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブの各々の第2の端部の周りに鋳造され、第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブの各々の第1の端部は、鋳造端部材から延び、第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブの各々は、第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブの各々の第2の端部周りへの鋳造端部材の鋳造中、溶融状態の第1の材料が第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブのうちのいずれか一方の第2の端部と第1の端部との間で第1及び第2の管状横部材スタブのうちのいずれか一方を通って流れるのを阻止するための取り外し可能なコア部材を密封的に受け入れるよう構成された内面を有し、車両フレーム用のクレードル全体は、第1及び第2のクレードル半部の第1の管状横部材スタブ相互間に連結された第1の横部材及び第1及び第2のクレードル半部の第2の管状横部材スタブ相互間に連結された第2の横部材を更に有し、第1及び第2の横部材は、第2の材料に溶接可能な材料で作られていることを特徴とするクレードル全体が提供される。
Claims (15)
- 二種金属コンポーネントであって、
第1の材料で作られた鋳造部材と、
第2の材料で作られた管状スタブ連結部材とを有し、前記管状スタブ連結部材は、開口した第1の端部及び前記第1の端部と反対側の開口した第2の端部を有し、前記鋳造部材は、前記第2の端部の周りに鋳造され、前記第1の端部は、前記鋳造部材から延び、前記スタブ連結部材は、前記第2の端部周りにおける前記鋳造部材の鋳造中、溶融状態の第1の材料が前記スタブ連結部材の前記第2の端部と前記第1の端部との間で前記スタブ連結部材を通って流れるのを阻止するための取り外し可能なコア部材を密封的に受け入れるよう構成された内面を有する、二種金属コンポーネント。 - 前記第1の材料は、アルミニウム合金であり、前記第2の材料は、鋼である、請求項1記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記第1の材料は、前記第2の材料の融解温度以下の融解温度を有する、請求項1又は2記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記スタブ連結部材の前記内面は、前記取り外し可能コア部材が前記スタブ連結部材内に密封的に受け入れられると、前記取り外し可能コア部材のコア関連密封肩に係合するよう構成されたスタブ関連密封肩を有する、請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記スタブ連結部材の前記内面は、前記スタブ部材と前記取り外し可能コア部材との間に隙間を定める滑り嵌め公差のある状態で前記取り外し可能コア部材を受け入れるよう寸法決めされ、前記スタブ連結部材の前記第2の端部は、前記スタブ連結部材の前記第2の端部が前記第2の端部周りへの前記鋳造部材の形成中、金型内に保持されると、変形するのに十分延性であり、その結果、前記金型の第1の領域内で前記隙間の幅が減少し、溶融状態の第1の材料が前記第1の領域の一方の側に位置する第2の領域と前記一方の側の反対側の前記第1の領域の側に位置する第3の領域との間で流れるのを阻止するようになっている、請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記第2の端部に固定されていて、前記開口状態の第2の端部を密封する端キャップを有し、前記端キャップ及び前記管状スタブ連結部材の前記第2の端部のうちの少なくとも一方は、前記鋳造部材の鋳造中、前記溶融状態の第1の材料により及ぼされる力に耐えるには不十分な強度を有する、請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記スタブ連結部材は、円以外の断面形状を有する、請求項1〜6のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記二種金属コンポーネントは、車両フレーム用のクレードルに用いられるクレードル半部であり、前記鋳造部材は、鋳造端部材であり、前記管状スタブ連結部材は、第1の横部材スタブ連結部材である、請求項1〜7のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記二種金属コンポーネントは、トーションビームアクスル組立体であり、前記鋳造部材は、鋳造トレーリングアームであり、前記管状スタブ連結部材は、トーションビームスタブ連結部材である、請求項1〜7のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記二種金属コンポーネントは、コントロールアームであり、前記鋳造部材は、鋳造カップリング部材であり、前記管状スタブ連結部材は、鋼部材スタブ連結部材である、請求項1〜7のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 前記二種金属コンポーネントは、インストルメントパネル支持体及びバンパ組立体のうちの一方である、請求項1〜7のうちいずれか一に記載の二種金属コンポーネント。
- 二種金属コンポーネントを製造する方法であって、
a)第1の材料を用意するステップを有し、
b)第2の材料で作られた管状スタブ連結部材を用意するステップを有し、
c)金型内に前記管状スタブ連結部材の一部分を位置決めするステップを有し、
d)取り外し可能なコアを前記管状連結スタブ部材中に挿入するステップを有し、
e)前記第1の材料を溶融形態で前記管状スタブ連結部材周りに前記金型内に導入するステップを有し、
f)前記取り外し可能なコアを前記管状スタブ連結部材内に前記第1の材料が前記管状スタブ連結部材を充填するのを阻止するのに十分な力で保持するステップを有し、
g)前記第1の材料を凝固させて前記金型内で前記管状スタブ連結部材の一部分周りに鋳造部材を形成するステップを有し、前記凝固鋳造部材と前記管状スタブ連結部材は一緒になって、前記二種金属コンポーネントを形成し、
h)前記取り外し可能なコアを、前記管状スタブ連結部材から取り外すステップを有し、
i)前記金型を開いて前記二種金属コンポーネントを放出するステップを有する、方法。 - 前記第1の材料は、アルミニウム合金であり、前記第2の材料は、鋼である、請求項12記載の方法。
- 前記第1の材料は、前記第2の材料の融解温度以下の融解温度を有する、請求項12又は13記載の方法。
- 前記管状スタブ連結部材の端部は、前記ステップd)の実施中、前記金型内に位置決めされ、前記取り外し可能なコアは、前記管状スタブ連結部材の前記端部を越えて前記金型内に延びる、請求項12〜14のうちいずれか一に記載の方法。
