Description
図3、図4、図5には、本発明に係る液晶パネルからの液晶抽出方法の第1の実施形態が示されている。この内、図3は該実施形態のフローチャート、図4は該実施形態における液晶パネルの態様を示す正面図、図5はその断面図である。
図8、図9、図10には、本発明に係る液晶パネルからの液晶抽出方法の第2の実施形態が示されている。この内、図8は該実施形態のフローチャート、図9は該実施形態における液晶パネルの態様を示す正面図、図10はその断面図である。
本発明に係る液晶パネルの再利用方法は、上述の液晶抽出方法の各実施形態における工程S61もしくはS66ならびにS62を経た後に行われる、つまり本発明に係る液晶抽出方法によって液晶パネルから液晶を抽出した後に行われるものであり、工程S62に続く以下の工程S63、S64、S65を含んでいる。添付図面は、図3(フローチャート:第1の実施形態)、図6(液晶パネルに液晶を注入する態様を示す側面図)、図7(液晶パネルの切断面の開口を封止する態様を示す側面図)、図8(フローチャート:第2の実施形態)を参照されたい。

Claims (5)
- (A)2枚の基板の間に液晶を封入した液晶パネルから該液晶を抽出する方法であって、
(a)前記液晶パネルを、再利用に供する保留領域と、切除する切除領域とに区分けした後、前記液晶パネルにおける前記2枚の基板のいずれか一方の前記切除領域内の前記保留領域近くに該一方の基板をその厚み方向に沿って貫通する第1の貫通孔を設ける工程と、
(b)前記液晶を液化させて前記第1の貫通孔から抽出する工程と、
を含む液晶パネルからの液晶抽出方法により液晶パネルから液晶を抽出する工程と、
(B)前記液晶パネルを前記保留領域と前記切除領域とが切り分けられるように切断し、前記液晶パネルの前記保留領域側の切断面における前記2枚の基板の間の隙間の開口を露出させる工程と、
(C)前記切断面に露出する前記開口から前記2枚の基板の間に液晶を注入する工程と、
(D)注入した前記液晶が流出しないように前記開口を封止する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする液晶パネルの再利用方法。 - 前記工程(D)においては、前記切断面の全体と、前記液晶パネルの前記保留領域における表面および背面の一部であり該切断面からそれぞれ繋がる切断面両側部とを封止材により覆うように前記開口を封止する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶パネルの再利用方法。 - 前記工程(C)においては、前記工程(A)において抽出した液晶と異なる種類の液晶を注入する
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の液晶パネルの再利用方法。 - 前記工程(C)においては、前記工程(A)において抽出した液晶と同じ種類の液晶を注入する
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の液晶パネルの再利用方法。 - 前記工程(C)における注入液晶として、前記工程(A)において抽出した液晶を主に使用する
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶パネルの再利用方法。
