Description
回転している回転ツールを金属部材の表面の法線に対する回転ツールの軸線の傾斜角θが0°<θ≦5°の条件を満足するように傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた状態にすることにより金属部材に付与された摩擦エネルギーによって、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接合することを特徴とする金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
前記摩擦エネルギーと、前記回転ツールを金属部材に押し付ける際に金属部材中に埋入された前記プローブで金属部材の材料を撹拌することで発生する第2摩擦エネルギーとによって、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接合する前項1〜5のいずれかに記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
前記回転ツールを傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた後、回転ツールを金属部材に対して相対的に金属部材の表面と平行な方向に移動させずに回転ツールの金属部材への押付けを解除することにより、金属部材と樹脂部材とを重ね点接合する前項1〜4のいずれかに記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
前記摩擦エネルギーと、前記回転ツールを金属部材に押し付ける際に金属部材中に埋入された前記プローブで金属部材の材料を撹拌することで発生する第2摩擦エネルギーとによって、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接合する前項8記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
様々な材料製の平板状金属部材1と様々な材料製の平板状樹脂部材2とを準備した。準備した金属部材1及び樹脂部材2の材料は、それぞれ表1中の「金属部材の材料」及び「樹脂部材の材料」欄に示したとおりである。
・回転ツール10の傾斜角θ:表1中の「傾斜角θ」欄に記載のとおり
・回転ツール10の回転速度:1000回転/min
・接合速度:400mm/min
・回転ツール10の先端面11の金属部材1への埋入深さ:0.5mm。
△:単位接合長さ当たりの最大引張剪断荷重が15N/mm未満
×:接合できず。
表1から分かるように、回転ツール10の軸線Qの傾斜角θを0°<θ≦5°(特に望ましくは1°≦θ≦5°)に設定することにより、最大引張剪断荷重が比較的大きく、したがって金属部材1と樹脂部材2との接合強度が高かった。一方、θが0°である場合には、金属部材1と樹脂部材2とを接合することができなかった。また、θが5°を超えた場合には、最大引張剪断荷重が比較的小さく、したがって金属部材1と樹脂部材2との接合強度が低かった。

Claims (6)
- 金属部材と樹脂部材とを両者の間に樹脂層を介在させないで接触させ、
回転している回転ツールを金属部材の表面の法線に対する回転ツールの軸線の傾斜角θが0°<θ≦5°の条件を満足するように傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた状態にすることにより金属部材に付与された摩擦エネルギーによって、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接合することとし、
金属部材は、樹脂部材との接触面に陽極酸化処理が施されたものである、金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記回転ツールを傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた状態で回転ツールをその傾斜方向とは反対側に金属部材に対して相対的に移動させる請求項1記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
- 金属部材と樹脂部材とを両者の間に樹脂層を介在させないで且つ重ね合わせ状態にして接触させ、
前記回転ツールを傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた後、回転ツールを金属部材に対して相対的に金属部材の表面と平行な方向に移動させずに回転ツールの金属部材への押付けを解除することにより、金属部材と樹脂部材とを重ね点接合する請求項1記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 金属部材と樹脂部材とを両者の間に樹脂層を介在させないで接触させ、
回転している回転ツールを金属部材の表面の法線に対する回転ツールの軸線の傾斜角θが0°<θ≦5°の条件を満足するように傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた状態にすることにより金属部材に付与された摩擦エネルギーによって、金属部材と樹脂部材とを接合することとし、
金属部材と樹脂部材との相互接触面のうち少なくとも一方の接触面には、接合前にコロナ放電処理が施されている、金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。 - 前記回転ツールを傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた状態で回転ツールをその傾斜方向とは反対側に金属部材に対して相対的に移動させる請求項4記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
- 金属部材と樹脂部材とを両者の間に樹脂層を介在させないで且つ重ね合わせ状態にして接触させ、
前記回転ツールを傾斜させて金属部材の表面に押し付けた後、回転ツールを金属部材に対して相対的に金属部材の表面と平行な方向に移動させずに回転ツールの金属部材への押付けを解除することにより、金属部材と樹脂部材とを重ね点接合する請求項4記載の金属部材と樹脂部材との接合方法。
