Description
磁束発生手段は、検出対象と一体に回転可能なよう検出対象に取り付けられる。ICパッケージは、磁束発生手段が回転することにより生じる磁束の方向の変化に応じた信号を出力する磁気検出素子を有している。カバー部材は、底部、および、当該底部の外縁部から筒状に延びる筒部を有し、底部の筒部側で磁束発生手段を覆うようハウジングに取り付けられる。
(第1実施形態)
本発明の第1実施形態による回転位置検出装置、および、その一部を図1〜4に示す。
磁石20は、ホルダ9の筒部の内壁に貼り付けられている。磁石20は、例えばボンド磁石であり、N極およびS極の極性がホルダ9の筒部の周方向に交互になるよう設けられている。そのため、弁軸4が回転すると、ホルダ9の筒部の内側において磁束の方向が変化する。このように、磁石20は、ホルダ9の内側において略円筒状に設けられ、または、形成されるようにして、スロットル弁2と一体に回転可能なようスロットル弁2に取り付けられる。
磁気検出素子31は、例えばホール素子等の半導体素子であり、通過する磁束の垂直成分に応じた信号を出力する。すなわち、磁気検出素子31は、通過する磁束の方向の変化に応じた信号を出力する。
封止体32により、磁気検出素子31に対し外部からの衝撃、湿気および熱等が加わるのを抑制することができる。
リード33は、例えば銅等の金属により棒状に形成され、一端が磁気検出素子31に電気的に接続するよう設けられている。リード33の他端は、封止体32から露出している。
本実施形態では、ICパッケージ30は、封止体32同士が板厚方向に重なるようにして2つ設けられている(図1参照)。
底部41は、板部411、台部412およびリブ413等を有している。板部411は、略長方形の板状に形成されている。台部412は、板部411の一方の面から板厚方向にブロック状に突出するよう板部411と一体に形成されている。リブ413は、面方向が板部411に対し垂直になるよう、台部412から放射状に延びるよう複数形成されている。ここで、リブ413は、外縁部の一部が板部411および台部412に接続するよう板部411および台部412と一体に形成されている。
フランジ部43は、筒部42の底部41とは反対側の端部から外側へ環状に延びるよう形成されている。カバー部材40には、フランジ部43を板厚方向に貫く穴部431が複数形成されている。
特に、本実施形態では、突出部60は、端部601が、支持部50の端部501に対し底部41とは反対側に位置するよう形成されている。
図1に示すように、本実施形態では、突出部60は、カバー部材40がハウジング5に取り付けられた状態で、筒状に配置された磁石20の内側に位置するよう形成されている。
また、本実施形態では、突出部60は、支持部50を取り囲むよう筒状に形成されている。これにより、ICパッケージ30(端部501)に対する様々な方向からの他部材等の接触を抑制することができる。
本発明の第2実施形態による回転位置検出装置の一部を図5に示す。第2実施形態では、突出部の形状が第1実施形態と異なる。
本実施形態では、相手部材等の接触が想定される箇所を絞って突出部60の壁部62を形成することにより、第1実施形態と比べ、突出部60を形成する樹脂等の使用材料をより低減することができる。
本発明の第3実施形態による回転位置検出装置の一部を図6に示す。第3実施形態では、突出部の形状が第1実施形態と異なる。
図6に示すように、第3実施形態では、突出部60は、第1実施形態で示した2つの壁部62のうち、片方のみ有している。
本発明の第4実施形態による回転位置検出装置の一部を図7に示す。第4実施形態では、突出部の形状等が第1実施形態と異なる。第4実施形態は、本発明の参考形態とする。
本発明の他の実施形態では、ICパッケージは、支持部にインサートモールドされていなくてもよい。すなわち、ICパッケージは、封止体等が支持部から露出していてもよい。また、封止体は、矩形の板状に限らず、どのような形状に形成されていてもよい。
また、本発明の他の実施形態では、磁気検出素子は、ホール素子に限らず、磁気を検出可能な他の素子であってもよい。
また、本発明の他の実施形態では、突出部は、カバー部材の底部とは反対側の端部が、ICパッケージの底部とは反対側の端部に対し底部側に位置するよう形成されていてもよい。
本発明による回転位置検出装置は、スロットル弁の弁軸以外に、例えばアクセルペダルやクランクシャフト等の回転軸の回転位置を検出するのに用いることができる。
このように、本発明は、上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の形態で実施可能である。

Claims (5)
- ハウジング(5)に回転可能に支持される検出対象(2)の回転位置を検出する回転位置検出装置(1)であって、
前記検出対象と一体に回転可能なよう前記検出対象に取り付けられる磁束発生手段(20)と、
前記磁束発生手段が回転することにより生じる磁束の方向の変化に応じた信号を出力する磁気検出素子(31)を有するICパッケージ(30)と、
底部(41)、および、当該底部の外縁部から筒状に延びる筒部(42)を有し、前記底部の前記筒部側で前記磁束発生手段を覆うよう前記ハウジングに取り付けられるカバー部材(40)と、
前記底部から前記筒部の開口面(44)側に突出するよう形成され、前記磁気検出素子が前記信号を出力可能なよう前記ICパッケージを支持する支持部(50)と、
前記底部の前記支持部近傍から少なくとも前記磁気検出素子に対応する位置まで前記開口面側に突出するよう前記支持部とは別体に形成される突出部(60)と、を備え、
前記磁束発生手段は、筒状に形成、または、配置され、
前記突出部は、前記支持部を取り囲むよう筒状に、かつ、前記カバー部材が前記ハウジングに取り付けられた状態で前記磁束発生手段の内側に位置するよう形成されていることを特徴とする回転位置検出装置。 - 前記ICパッケージは、少なくとも一部が前記開口面に対し前記底部とは反対側に位置するよう前記支持部に支持されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の回転位置検出装置。
- 前記突出部は、前記底部とは反対側の端部(601)が、前記ICパッケージの前記底部とは反対側の端部(301)に対し前記底部とは反対側に位置するよう形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の回転位置検出装置。
- 前記突出部は、周方向の一部が切り欠かれるようにして形成される切欠部(61)を有していることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の回転位置検出装置。
- 前記突出部は、前記切欠部を周方向に複数有していることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の回転位置検出装置。
