Description
Claims (5)
- 光ファイバ同士を機械的に接続するためのファイバ接続部材を備えた光接続器において、
前記ファイバ接続部材は、前記光ファイバにおける被覆除去された先端部分の裸ファイバを収容するファイバ溝を有するベース部と、前記ファイバ溝に収容された前記裸ファイバを前記ベース部に対して押さえるフタ部とを有し、
前記ベース部には、前記光ファイバの一つを構成する内蔵ファイバを保持するフェルールが固定されており、
前記ベース部及び前記フタ部は、前記光ファイバを形成する材料よりもモース硬度が小さい繊維状フィラーが添加された非結晶性樹脂で形成されていることを特徴とする光接続器。 - 前記繊維状フィラーのモース硬度は5よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1記載の光接続器。
- 前記非結晶性樹脂は、ポリエーテルイミドまたはポリエーテルサルフォンであることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の光接続器。
- 前記繊維状フィラーは、チタン酸カリウムのみ、またはチタン酸カリウムとワラストナイトとの混合物からなっていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載の光接続器。
- 前記非結晶性樹脂に対する前記繊維状フィラーの充填率は25〜35%であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の光接続器。
