4. 前記有機溶媒の含有量が、4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール100重量部に対して、1.0×103〜1.0×105重量部である、上記項1〜3のいずれかに記載の塗料組成物。
5. 前記パラジウムコロイドが分散した水性分散溶液、前記4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロールの含有溶液及び前記有機溶媒を混合させることにより得られる、上記項1〜4のいずれかに記載の無電解めっき用塗料組成物。
6. 上記項1〜5のいずれかに記載の無電解めっき用塗料組成物を基材上に塗布することにより得られる、無電解めっき用塗膜。
7. 以下の(i)及び(ii)工程を含む、無電解めっき方法:
(i) 基材に対して、(1)4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール、(2)パラジウムコロイド、及び(3)有機溶媒を含有する無電解めっき用塗料組成物を塗工する工程、
(ii) 前記(i)工程によって得られた基材をめっき液と接触させることにより、めっき皮膜を形成する工程。
8. 前記(i)工程後(ii)工程前に、60〜110℃で乾燥する工程を含む、上記項7に記載の無電解めっき方法。
9. 上記項7又は8の方法によって得られる、被めっき物。
≪無電解めっき用塗料組成物≫
本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物は、
(1)4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール、
(2)パラジウムコロイド、及び
(3)有機溶媒
を含む。本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物について具体的に説明する。
本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物には、(1)4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール(以下、単に「SSPY(Super Soluble polyPYrrole」ともいう)を含有する。なお、4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロールは、後述する(3)有機溶媒に可溶である。
本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物には、(2)パラジウムコロイドを含有する。パラジウムコロイドは、粒子として分散している状態のものを使用できる。
本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物には、(3)有機溶媒を含有する。
本発明の塗料組成物には、本発明の効果の範囲内で、分散安定剤、増粘剤、バインダー等を加えることも可能である。
<<無電解めっき用塗料組成物の製造方法及び塗工方法>>
本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物の製造方法は、(1)SSPY、(2)パラジウムコロイド、及び(3)有機溶媒が混合されれば、特に限定されない。例えば、SSPY含有溶液、有機溶媒及びパラジウムコロイドを混合させることにより得られる
パラジウムコロイドを加える際、パラジウムコロイドを分散性良く塗料組成物中に存在させるために、パラジウムコロイドが分散した水性分散溶液を作製し、当該溶液をSSPY含有溶液及び有機溶媒と混合させることが好ましい。
≪被めっき物≫
前記の方法によって処理された基材は、金属を析出させるためのめっき液と接触し、これにより無電解めっき皮膜が形成される。無電解めっきは反応性がよく、得られた無電解めっき皮膜はむらがなく、密着性及び外観皮膜に優れる。
EMPY:BMPY=2:1(モル比)を共重合させて得られたSSPY溶液を用意する。ここで、当該溶液の濃度は10重量%であり、溶媒はDMACである。当該SSPY溶液をNMPによって希釈し、濃度が1重量%である上記SSPY溶液を作製する(これをA液とする。赤褐色。)。一方、パラジウムコロイドが分散した水性分散溶液を用意する。ここで、当該溶液の濃度は9000重量ppmであり、溶媒は水:エタノールの重量比が50:50である溶媒である。当該パラジウムコロイドが分散した水性分散溶液をNMPで希釈し、900重量ppmのパラジウムコロイド溶液を作製する(これをB液とする。灰色。)。A液とB液の重量比が100:30となるようにA液とB液とを混合することにより、本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物を得た。
A液とB液の重量比を以下の表1のように適宜変更することにより、本発明の無電解めっき用塗料組成物を得た。なお、補足として、実施例1〜6並びに比較例1及び2で得られた無電解めっき用塗料組成物の各成分の割合を以下の表2に示す。
ポリオレフィン製不織布(商品名:アクスター、東レ株式会社製、20g/m2)からなる基材を、上記実施例1〜6並びに比較例1及び2の塗料組成物に含浸した。次いで、100℃で乾燥した後、無電解銅めっきに供した。なお、無電解めっき条件は、以下の通りである。
<<無電解めっき条件>>
得られた被銅めっき物に対して、以下の評価を行った。
<<めっき反応性>>
5分でむらなく均一にめっき析出が進行した場合を○と評価し、5分でむらなく均一にめっき析出が進行しなかった場合を×と評価した。
<<めっき皮膜外観>>
銅めっき皮膜が形成された被めっき物の表面状態を目視で観察した。塗工表面すべてにめっきが均一外観で欠損なく被覆された場合を○と評価し、めっきが均一外観で欠損がある場合を×と評価した。
<<総合評価>>
Claims (9)
- (1)4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール、
(2)パラジウムコロイド、及び
(3)有機溶媒、
を含有する、無電解めっき用塗料組成物。 - 前記4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロールが、4−メチル−3−ピロールカルボン酸エチルと4−メチル−3−ピロールカルボン酸ブチルの共重合体である、請求項1に記載の無電解めっき用塗料組成物。
- 前記有機溶媒が、メタノール、エタノール、1−プロパノール、イソプロパノール、1−ブタノール、イソブタノール、エチレングリコール、シクロヘキサノール、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン、シクロヘキサノン、酢酸メチル、酢酸エチル、酢酸プロピル、酢酸ブチル、酢酸セロソルブ、メチルセロソルブ、エチルセロソルブ、テトラヒドロフラン、1,4−ジオキサン、トルエン、キシレン、シクロヘキサン、メチルシクロヘキサン、エチルシクロヘキサン、N−メチルピロリドン、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド、N,N−ジメチルホルムアミド、1,3−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノン、及びジメチルスルホキシドからなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種である、請求項1又は2に記載の塗料組成物。
- 前記有機溶媒の含有量が、4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール100重量部に対して、1.0×103〜1.0×105重量部である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の塗料組成物。
- 前記パラジウムコロイドが分散した水性分散溶液、前記4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロールの含有溶液及び前記有機溶媒を混合させることにより得られる、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の無電解めっき用塗料組成物。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の無電解めっき用塗料組成物を基材上に塗布することにより得られる、無電解めっき用塗膜。
- 以下の(i)及び(ii)工程を含む、無電解めっき方法:
(i) 基材に対して、(1)4−アルキル−3−カルボン酸エステルポリピロール、(2)パラジウムコロイド、及び(3)有機溶媒を含有する無電解めっき用塗料組成物を塗工する工程、
(ii) 前記(i)工程によって得られた基材をめっき液と接触させることにより、めっき皮膜を形成する工程。 - 前記(i)工程後(ii)工程前に、100〜200℃で乾燥する工程を含む、請求項7に記載の無電解めっき方法。
- 請求項7又は8の方法によって得られる、被めっき物。
