Description
平均粒子径0.5μm、純度99.5%の酸化アルミニウム粉末、平均粒子径0.02μm、純度99.9%の酸化チタン粉末、及び平均粒子径0.8μm、純度95%の酸化カルシウム粉末を混合して原料粉末とし、これを成形して焼成することにより、快削性セラミックスを得た。各粉末材料の混合は、任意量のΦ10mmのアルミナボールを入れた樹脂ポットを用いて、18時間混合し、スラリー化することにより行った。
原料粉末における酸化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、及び酸化カルシウムの混合比を、質量比で(99.87〜97.6):(0.1〜0.4):(0.03〜2.0)の範囲以外の複数の混合比、すなわち表1の比較例1〜3における「混合比」の欄で示される各混合比とした以外は、上述実施例の場合と同一の条件で、各混合比についての快削性セラミックスを取得した。
Claims (1)
- 酸化アルミニウム焼結体であって、
酸化チタンを0.1〜0.4質量%含み、
酸化カルシウムを0.03〜2.0質量%含み、かつ、
残部が酸化アルミニウム及び不可避的な不純物のみからなり、
XRDのピーク強度により算出される結晶配向度I 300 /(I 300 +I 104 )が0.1〜0.5であり、
前記酸化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、及び酸化カルシウムの粉末を混合した混合物のスラリーを用い、吸水性材料で構成された底部と、非吸水性材料で構成された側壁部とを備える成形型を用いた鋳込み成形により該粉末の混合物を成形し、そして、成形された該混合物を焼成することにより得られるものであり、
前記結晶配向度は、前記鋳込み成形時の着肉方向に垂直な面についてのものであることを特徴とする快削性セラミックス。
