Description
150μm以下、鉄成分98%以上の純鉄粉であり、45μm以下の粒子がそれぞれ60、70、80、90、100重量%となる複数種の金属粉末を調整し、さらにこれらにステアリン酸亜鉛を0.75重量%混合した。
圧粉成形は金型中において、250〜350MPaの加圧力で実施され相対密度が80%以上の圧粉密度が得られるよう適宜調整をした。
焼結は、メッシュベルトタイプの焼結炉を用い、水素と窒素との混合気流中において温度1000℃の雰囲気温度にて20分間実施した。
焼結後の軸受素材に対し、相対密度が85%以上となるように金型内にて再圧縮をおこなった。
サイジング後の軸受素材に対し、内周面のモータ軸と摺接する表面部分に動圧発生溝を加工形成した。
溝加工後の軸受素材に対し、温度400〜600℃で25〜80分間の範囲内で水蒸気処理を実施した。
上記により製造した軸受は、図6に示したように、金属粉末中の45μm以下の粒子量が60重量%の場合、四三酸化鉄つまりFe 3 O 4 皮膜の形成による封孔効果が不十分で通気量が最大で8cm3と多かったが、45μm以下の粒子量が70重量%を超えると、表面気孔が均一で微細になることで、四三酸化鉄つまりFe 3 O 4 皮膜の形成による封孔効果が高くなり、通気量が3cm3以下に極端に減少した。

Claims (5)
- 軸受内周面に動圧発生溝を形成した粉末焼結金属からなる流体動圧軸受の製造方法であって、45μm以下の粒子を少なくとも70重量%以上含む金属粉末で、しかも該金属粉末の、レーザー光回折方式粒度分布計で測定される、金属粉末の累積50%径が、20〜60μmの範囲内にあるものを圧粉成形、焼結した焼結金属素材に動圧発生溝を形成した後に水蒸気処理を施して軸受内周面または軸受内周面と軸受端面の多孔質表面に四三酸化鉄皮膜を形成するようにした流体動圧軸受の製造方法。
- 軸受内周面に動圧発生溝を形成した粉末焼結金属からなる流体動圧軸受の製造方法であって、45μm以下の粒子を少なくとも80重量%以上含む金属粉末で、しかも該金属粉末の、レーザー光回折方式粒度分布計で測定される、金属粉末の累積50%径が、20〜60μmの範囲内にあるものを圧粉成形、焼結した焼結金属素材に動圧発生溝を形成した後に水蒸気処理を施して軸受内周面または軸受内周面と軸受端面の多孔質表面に四三酸化鉄皮膜を形成するようにした流体動圧軸受の製造方法。
- 45μm以下の粒子を少なくとも70重量%以上含む金属粉末を造粒工程によって粒度調整をした後に圧粉成形するようにした請求項1又は請求項2のいずれか1に記載の流体動圧軸受の製造方法。
- 金属粉末が、鉄成分:98重量%以上の鉄粉もしくはステンレス鋼粉である請求項1〜3のいずれか1に記載の流体動圧軸受の製造方法。
- 焼結後の粉末焼結金属素材に対し、再圧縮の工程を行った後に動圧発生溝を形成するようにした請求項1〜4のいずれか1に記載の流体動圧軸受の製造方法。
