Description
Claims (16)
- 光源の輝度を増大させる照明システムであって、複数の光線を放出する光源、および、前記光源からの複数の光線を伝達する光リサイクル装置を備え、
前記光リサイクル装置は中実の単一の光学コンポーネントを有し、
前記光学コンポーネントは前記光源から発された光を捕捉するように配置され、
前記光学コンポーネントはレンズ面を包囲する反射性凹状面を有し、
単一の光学コンポーネントの前記レンズ面は前記光源と所定の円錐角を形成することにより、前記単一の光学コンポーネントの前記反射性凹状面は、前記光源から前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線を前記光源に反射することによって、前記複数の光線の一部を角度的にリサイクルする角度的光リサイクル装置を構成し、同光源は前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線を前記角度的光リサイクル装置に再放出し、これによって前記光源の出力の輝度が増大され、
前記反射性凹状面は、前記単一の光学コンポーネントの表面の一部を前記光源と反対側から被覆する反射性被覆材によって形成されており、
前記単一の光学コンポーネントの前記レンズ面は、前記光源から前記所定の円錐角内で発された光線を前記光リサイクル装置から出力する照明システム。 - 前記光源はLEDまたはLEDチップを有する請求項1に記載の照明システム。
- 前記LEDチップは反射性被覆材を有する基材に取り付けられている請求項2に記載の照明システム。
- 前記LEDチップは該LEDチップから光を抽出するための一体型光学系を含む請求項2または3に記載の照明システム。
- 前記光源は複数のLEDチップを有する請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の照明システム。
- 前記複数のLEDチップは一次元的または二次元状の列で緻密に配置されている請求項5に記載の照明システム。
- 前記光源は互いに周波数の異なる光線を放つ複数のカラーLEDチップを有する請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の照明システム。
- 前記反射性凹状面は、前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線をそれらが前記光源上に再帰フォーカスされる前に2回反射するデュアル放物反射性面を形成する請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の照明システム。
- 前記反射性凹状面は、球形、放物面状、または楕円面状とされている請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の照明システム。
- 光源の輝度を増大させる方法であって、
前記光源から複数の光線を受け取り、前記複数の光線の一部を前記光源にリサイクルする光リサイクル装置を前記光源に結合する工程、前記光リサイクル装置は中実の単一の光学コンポーネントを有し、前記光学コンポーネントは、前記光源と所定の円錐角を形成するレンズ面を包囲する反射性凹状面を有し、前記反射性凹状面は、前記単一の光学コンポーネントの表面の一部を前記光源と反対側から被覆する反射性被覆材によって形成されている、
前記光学コンポーネントを前記光源から発された光を捕捉するように配置する工程、
前記光源から前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線を、前記単一の光学コンポーネントの前記反射性凹状面によって前記光源に反射することによって、前記複数の光線の一部を角度的にリサイクルする工程、
前記光源から前記所定の円錐角内に発された光線を、前記レンズ面を介して、前記光リサイクル装置から出力する工程、
前記光源から前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線を前記角度的光リサイクル装置に再放出する工程、これによって前記光源の出力の輝度が増大される方法。 - さらに、前記光源から前記所定の円錐角外に発された光線をそれらが前記光源上に再帰フォーカスされる前にデュアル放物反射性面によって2回反射する工程を有する請求項10に記載の方法。
- さらに、LEDまたはLEDチップから前記複数の光線を受ける工程を有する請求項10または11に記載の方法。
- さらに、反射性被覆材を有する基材に前記LEDチップを取り付ける工程を有する請求項12に記載の方法。
- さらに、互いに周波数の異なる光線を放つ複数のカラーLEDチップからの前記複数の光線を受ける工程を有する請求項10から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記LEDチップ上の一体型光学系を用いて前記LEDチップからの光を抽出する工程を有する請求項12から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- さらに、基板上に一次元的または二次元状の列で緻密に配置されている複数のLEDチップからの前記複数の光線を受ける工程を有する請求項12から15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
