Description
a)少なくとも1のエチレン性不飽和の酸基を有するモノマー、これは少なくとも部分的に中和されていてよい、
b)少なくとも1の架橋剤、
c)少なくとも1の開始剤、
d)場合により1もしくは複数の、a)に挙げたモノマーと共重合可能なエチレン性不飽和モノマーおよび
e)場合により1もしくは複数の水溶性ポリマー
を含有するモノマー溶液またはモノマー懸濁液の重合によって得られたものであり、少なくとも1の表面後架橋剤を吸水性ポリマー粒子上に施与し、かつ吸水性ポリマー粒子を熱によって表面後架橋させる、表面後架橋された吸水性ポリマー粒子の製造方法であって、表面後架橋剤が、少なくとも10個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1のエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩、エステルおよび/またはエポキシ化生成物であることを特徴とする、表面後架橋された吸水性ポリマー粒子の製造方法によって解決された。
測定は、その他の記載がない限り、23±2℃の周囲温度および50±10%の相対空気湿度で実施すべきものである。吸水性ポリマー粒子は、測定前に十分に混合される。
遠心分離保持容量(CRC)は、EDANA(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association)により推奨される試験法No.WSP241.2−05「遠心分離保持容量」により測定される。
21.0g/cm2の加圧下での吸収(AUL0.3psi)は、EDANA(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association)により推奨される試験法No.WSP242.2−05「加圧下での吸収(Absorption Under Pressure)」により測定される。
例1(ベースポリマーの製造)
脱塩水、50質量%の水酸化ナトリウム溶液およびアクリル酸を連続的に混合することにより、72モル%の中和度に相応するアクリル酸/アクリル酸ナトリウム溶液を製造した。モノマー溶液の固体含有率は、40質量%であった。
モノマー溶液 18t/h
ポリエチレングリコール−400−ジアクリレート 23.4kg/h
過酸化水素溶液/ペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウム溶液 45kg/h
アスコルビン酸溶液 18kg/h
例1で製造したベースポリマー(200g)を、真空乾燥棚(Heraeus VACUTHERM VT6060M、Kendro Laboratory Products GmbH、DE)中、150℃で60分間、熱処理した。
例1で製造したベースポリマー(200g)に、キッチン用の装置(ProfiMixx 47、Robert Bosch GmbH、DE)中、攪拌段階4で二流体ノズル(噴霧圧0.2バール、N2、8g/分)を用いて、アマニ油1.0gおよびイソプロパノール7.0gからなる表面後架橋剤溶液を噴霧した。湿ったポリマー粒子を、スパチュラで再度均質化し、かつ引き続き真空乾燥棚(Heraeus VACUTHERM VT6060M、Kendro Laboratory Products GmbH、DE)中、150℃で60分間熱処理した。
例3に記載の方法を実施したが、ここではアマニ油1.0g、イソプロパノール6.6gおよび水0.4gからなる表面後架橋剤溶液を使用した。
Claims (16)
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子の表面後架橋法であって、この場合、吸水性ポリマー粒子は、
a)少なくとも1のエチレン性不飽和の酸基を有するモノマー、
b)少なくとも1の架橋剤、
c)少なくとも1の開始剤、
d)場合により1もしくは複数の、a)に挙げたモノマーと共重合可能なエチレン性不飽和モノマーおよび
e)場合により1もしくは複数の水溶性ポリマー
を含有するモノマー溶液またはモノマー懸濁液を重合することによって得られたものであり、少なくとも1の表面後架橋剤を吸水性ポリマー粒子上に施与し、かつ吸水性ポリマー粒子を熱によって表面後架橋させる方法において、表面後架橋剤が、少なくとも10個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1のエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩、エステルおよび/またはエポキシ化された、少なくとも10個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも1のエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩、エステルであり、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸のエステルが、植物油および/または動物油であり、その際、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸の割合は、植物油および/または動物油中のカルボン酸の全量に対して、少なくとも30質量%であることを特徴とする、吸水性ポリマー粒子の表面後架橋法。 - 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルが、少なくとも2つの炭素−炭素の二重結合を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルが、少なくとも2つの隣接する炭素−炭素の二重結合を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルが、炭素−炭素の二重結合に加えて、少なくとも1のエポキシ基を有していることを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルがさらに、炭素−炭素の二重結合に対して隣接するエポキシ基を少なくとも1つ有していることを特徴とする、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルが、リノレン酸、その塩またはエステルおよび/またはベルノール酸、その塩またはエステルであることを特徴とする、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記表面後架橋剤が、別の天然由来のカルボン酸、その塩またはエステルとの混合物として使用され、その際、混合物中の表面後架橋剤の割合は、少なくとも30質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 表面後架橋剤が、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、その塩またはエステルのエポキシ化生成物であることを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 植物油が、アマニ油および/またはベルノニア油であることを特徴とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 熱による表面後架橋を、酸素の存在下に50〜150℃で実施することを特徴とする、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 表面後架橋剤が、エポキシ化された植物油および/または動物油であることを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 表面後架橋剤が、エポキシ化された植物油および/または動物油であり、その際、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸の割合は、植物油および/または動物油中のカルボン酸の全量に対して少なくとも30質量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- エポキシ化された植物油が、エポキシ化されたアマニ油であることを特徴とする、請求項11または12記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子が、少なくとも15g/gの遠心分離保持容量を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 請求項1から14までのいずれか1項記載の方法により得られる吸水性ポリマー粒子。
- 請求項15記載の吸水性ポリマー粒子を含有する衛生用品。
