Description
・PTC−179法(ハーキュリーズ・インコーポレーテッド・レビュー(Hercules Inc.Rev.)1982年4月29日)に従って、デカリン中において135℃で、溶解時間を16時間として、酸化防止剤としてDBPCを2g/l溶液の量で用いて、異なる濃度で測定された粘度を濃度ゼロに外挿することにより、IV(UHMWPEに関する)を求める。
・ASTM F−1790(2004年に更新)に従って、耐切創性を求める。
ダイニーマ(登録商標)SK−75として公知の糸のUHMWPE繊維をPTFEの水性分散体組成物で被覆した。前記分散体は、Eternitex ECM(コード69−000/D7995)の名称で商業的に知られており、ウィットフォード(Whitford)により製造されている。
未被覆の繊維を備える糸を用いて、実施例1を繰り返した。
従って、本発明の布帛は、小さな面密度または小さい厚さで製造されるにもかかわらず、未被覆のポリエチレン繊維で製造される厚い布帛と同じ耐切創性を提供することが可能である。
Claims (14)
- ゲル紡糸された超高分子量ポリエチレン(UHMWPE)繊維を含んでなる耐切創性布帛であって、前記繊維が、フルオロポリマーを含んでなるポリマーシースで少なくとも部分的に被覆され、前記シースの厚さが、少なくとも10nmであることを特徴とする布帛。
- 前記ポリエチレン繊維の少なくとも50質量%が、被覆されている請求項1に記載の布帛。
- 前記布帛が、個々のポリエチレン繊維を含有する糸を含んでなり、前記個々の繊維が、フルオロポリマーを含んでなるポリマーシースで被覆され、前記シースの厚さが、少なくとも10nmである請求項1に記載の布帛。
- 前記の被覆されたポリエチレン繊維が、少なくとも50質量%の被覆されたポリエチレンステープル繊維を含んでなる請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の布帛。
- 前記繊維の表面が、前記シースによって少なくとも50%被覆されている請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の布帛。

- 金属繊維、エラスタン繊維および/または鉱物繊維からなる群から選択される繊維を含有する糸であって、前記糸が、フルオロポリマーを含んでなるシースで被覆されたゲル紡糸された超高分子量ポリエチレン(UHMWPE)繊維をさらに含んでなり、前記シースの厚さが、少なくとも10nmであることを特徴とする糸。
