Description
この層の合金は、好ましくは、亜鉛を含有し、好ましくは、ろう付けが実行される前後で高密度の分散質を生成する、高シリコン3XXX系合金である。このような合金の例(合金Xおよび合金Yと呼ぶ)は、以下の表1に示す組成(重量%)を有する。
このことは、もし重量を抑えるために厚さの減少(down-gauging)が必要な場合、高強度層の存在によって多層シート物品(いわゆるパッケージ(package))全体の強度が増加するので、特に好都合である。加えて、高いろう付け後強度のため、中間層は、水側クラッド層より侵食性に優れる(もし、後者が、離れて分かれて腐食されるなら、これは、相当の利点である。)。亜鉛は、必要な腐食電位を得るために、すなわちコア層に対してこの層を犠牲層にするように添加される。
水側の外側クラッド層は、商業用純アルミニウムをベースにした、3〜7重量%の亜鉛を含有する(例えば、AA7000系合金)任意の鍛造アルミニウム合金であってよい。好ましくは、この合金は、付加的なマンガンを含まない。
コア層のために選ばれる金属は、例示的な実施形態では重要でなく、それはこの種のチューブに一般的に用いられる任意の金属であってよい。しかしながら、それは、好ましくは、中間層よりも電気的に陰性でないべきである(より電気的に陽性、すなわち、より「貴(noble)」に)。従って、コア層にそれらを用いる前に、候補となる合金に対して電気化学的な試験を行うのが望ましい。このような試験は、ASTM G69に従った標準電極電位(Standard Electrode Potential)測定を用いることで実現できる。(この開示は、参照することにより本明細書に取り込まれる。)
層Dは、熱交換器の製造の際に、ろう付けによって冷却フィンを取り付けるために用いられる(上記で説明した)ろう付け層である。低融点の任意の適したろう付け合金が用いられてもよく、通常、多量のシリコンを含有する合金、例えばAA4000系の合金等である。
クラッド材および中間層用の合金は、大きさ38mm×150mm×200mmの小型ブックモールドインゴットとして鋳造した。それぞれの圧延面から1mm皮剥ぎした。
試料に、ASTM D−2570に基づいた模擬実用腐食試験(simulated service corrosion test、SSCT)、いわゆる標準OY腐食試験(Standard OY Corrosion Test)を実施した(この開示は、参照することにより本明細書に取り込まれる。)。その試験方法は、基本的に、一定温度条件である、管理下における、試験溶液(通常、OyamaまたはOY水。熱交換器用材料の水側耐食性を決定するのに用いられる標準試験溶液。以下の表5を参照されたい)または冷却剤の循環の金属試験片試料に対する効果を評価する。
試験試料の顕微鏡写真は添付図面の図4に示される。その図は、標準流量で、試料を232時間、100%のOY水に曝した試験R1030に関する。
Claims (16)
- 第1の面と第2の面とを有するアルミニウム合金のコア層を有する多層金属シートであって、
前記コア層の前記第1の面が、亜鉛を含有する外層と前記コア層との間に位置し、亜鉛を含有するアルミニウム合金で作られている中間層を有し、前記外層の合金が前記中間層の前記合金より電気的に陰性であり、
前記中間層が、以下の組成:
Mn:0.9〜2.0重量%、
Cu:0.002〜0.7重量%、
Fe:0.4重量%以下、
Si:0.5〜2.0重量%、
Zn:7.0重量%以下、ならびに
残部のアルミニウムおよび不可避不純物(存在する場合)
の合金で作られており、
前記外層が、少なくとも3重量%の亜鉛を含有するAl−Zn合金で作られていることを特徴とする多層金属シート。 - 前記外層の前記合金が、前記中間層の前記合金より少なくとも50mV電気的に陰性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層金属シート。
- 前記コア層が、以下の組成:
Mn:0.5〜2.0重量%、
Cu:0.1〜1.0重量%、
Fe:0.4重量%以下、
Si:0.25重量%以下、
Mg:0.8重量%以下、ならびに
残部のアルミニウムおよび不可避不純物(存在する場合)
の合金で作られていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層金属シート。 - 前記外層の前記合金が、3〜7重量%の亜鉛を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層金属シート。
- ろう付け合金よりなるコーティングを前記第2の面に有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層金属シート。
- 前記第2の面の前記コーティングが、AA4000系のアルミニウム合金を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の多層金属シート。
- 前記中間層の前記合金が、前記コア層の前記合金より電気的に陰性であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層金属シート。
- 前記中間層の前記合金が、前記コア層の前記合金より少なくとも50mV電気的に陰性であることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の多層金属シート。
- 前記亜鉛を含有する外層がチューブの内面を形成することを特徴とする請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の多層金属シートより成るチューブ。
- 前記亜鉛を含有する外層がヘッダーの内面を形成することを特徴とする請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の多層金属シートより成るラジエーターヘッダー。
- 第1の面と第2の面とを有するアルミニウム合金のコア層を有する多層金属シートであって、
前記コア層の前記第1の面が、亜鉛を含有する外層と前記コア層との間に位置し、亜鉛を含有するアルミニウム合金で作られている中間層を有し、前記外層の合金が前記中間層の前記合金より電気的に陰性であり、
前記中間層が、以下の組成:
Mn:0.9〜2.0重量%、
Cu:0.002〜0.7重量%、
Fe:0.4重量%以下、
Si:0.5〜2.0重量%、
Zn:7.0重量%以下、ならびに
残部のアルミニウムおよび不可避不純物(存在する場合)
の合金で作られており、ここで、不可避不純物は、Mg、V、Zr、Cr、TiおよびNiからなる群から選択された少なくとも1種であり、
前記外層が、少なくとも3重量%の亜鉛を含有するAl−Zn合金で作られていることを特徴とする多層金属シート。 - 第1の面と第2の面とを有するアルミニウム合金のコア層を有する多層金属シートであって、
前記コア層の前記第1の面が、亜鉛を含有する外層と前記コア層との間に位置し、亜鉛を含有するアルミニウム合金で作られている中間層を有し、前記外層の合金が前記中間層の前記合金より電気的に陰性であり、
前記中間層が、以下の組成:
Mn:0.9〜2.0重量%、
Cu:0.002〜0.7重量%、
Fe:0.4重量%以下、
Si:0.5〜2.0重量%、
Zn:7.0重量%以下、ならびに
残部のアルミニウムおよび不可避不純物(存在する場合)
の合金で作られており、ここで、不可避不純物は、
Mg:0.05重量%以下、
V:0.010重量%以下、
Zr:0.010重量%以下、
Cr:0.30重量%以下、
Ti:0.020重量%以下、および
Ni:0.003重量%以下、
であり、
前記外層が、少なくとも3重量%の亜鉛を含有するAl−Zn合金で作られていることを特徴とする多層金属シート。
