Description
本発明は、自立型ろ過装置並びにフィルターの寿命及び性能の改善方法に関する。
フィルターは、ワインから結晶を除去することから、飲料水及び潤滑油から不純物を除去すること並びにバイオリアクター、発酵槽その他の化学的プロセスから粒状物を除去することに至るまで、多数の用途に使用されている。
これら従来技術の課題は、自立型ろ過装置並びにフィルターの寿命及び性能の改善方法を開示する本発明によって解決される。フィルター部材は、流体の1以上の特徴又はパラメーター、例えば温度、圧力又は流量などを測定するために改造された1個以上のセンサーを備える。測定された特徴又はパラメーターに答えて、該フィルター部材内の制御論理が好適な応答を決定することができる。例えば、制御論理は、フィルター膜に突然の(ただし一時の)詰まりが起こったことを決定できる。これに応じて、制御論理が、この詰まりを緩和するように設計された特定の応答を開始することができる。この応答は、温度変化、振動、流体流路の変化その他の作用であることができる。次いで、制御論理は、流体の特性のあらゆる変化を監視することに基づいて、この応答が成功かどうかを決定するであろう。これに基づき、制御論理は、フィルター部材を交換しなければならないことを作業者に警告することができる。或いは、この応答が詰まりを修正することに成功した場合には、制御論理は作業者に知らせる必要がない。フィルター部材は、通常の操作に戻る。他の具体例では、制御論理はまた、例えばフィルターを通過する流体が所定の温度又は圧力であることを確保することによって、フィルターの作動モードを調節する。
上記のように、フィルター部材は、好ましくは3つの作動モードを有する。これら3つのモードを図1に示す。作動モード10は、フィルターの寿命の大部分において使用される。ほとんどの場合、フィルターが作動モードの状態を維持することを確保するためにいかなる処置も不要である。しかしながら、いくつかの実施形態では、メンテナンス活動12を連続的又は定期的に実施して、フィルターが機能的な状態を保持するのを確保することができる。このような措置は、熱サイクル、振動、圧力若しくは流体の逆流又は他の是正処置であることができる。
第1の実施形態では、ベントフィルターを用いる。第1の実施形態では、このフィルターをベントフィルターとして使用する。
別の実施形態では、バイオリアクターからの細胞残屑やワインからの結晶といった粒状物用のろ過システムは、上記の技術を用いることができる。
接線流フィルター(TFF)は、一般に、ろ過液から蛋白質を単離するために使用される。蛋白質は膜を詰まらせる可能性があるため、流体は、膜を接線方向に流れ過ぎる。図11aは、従来のフィルターの流れを示しており、この際、流体は、膜の表面の方に又は膜の表面に対して垂直に流れる。図11bは、TFFフィルターの作用を示しており、この場合、流体の流れは、膜の表面に対して接線方向である。これによって、数個の粒状物しか膜上に集まらないので、詰まりを低減させることが可能になる。

Claims (6)
- 次の構成:
a.流体が通過する膜と、該膜を支持するハウジングとを有するフィルター部材と、
b.該フィルター部材に設置され、該ろ過装置と関連する少なくとも1個のパラメーターを監視するように構成された少なくとも1個のセンサーと、
c.該フィルター部材内に設置された発熱体と、
d.作業者に警告を示すための機構と、
e.該センサー、該機構及び該発熱体と通信状態にある処理装置と
を備える自立型ろ過装置であって、該処理装置は、3つのモードのぞれぞれで作動するように構成され、ここで、第1モードは通常操作の間に使用され、該通常のモードにおいて、該発熱体を作動させて該流体を気体の状態に保持し、第2モードは該発熱体を制御して是正措置を実行するために使用され、第3モードは、該警報機構を作動させるために使用され、該第2モードは、該監視パラメーターの突然の変化によって示される閉塞が存在する場合に入力され、しかも、該是正措置は、該閉塞を除去することを目的とする、自立型ろ過装置。 - 前記処理装置が前記センサーの出力に基づいて前記モード間で移行する、請求項1に記載の自立型ろ過装置。
- 前記センサーの出力が許容できる範囲外である場合に前記処理装置が前記第1モードから前記第2モードに移行する、請求項2に記載の自立型ろ過装置。
- 前記処理装置が前記発熱体を制御し、前記発熱体は、前記センサーによって監視される前記パラメーターに影響を及ぼすように構成される、請求項3に記載の自立型ろ過装置。
- 前記センサーの出力が許容できる範囲に復帰した場合に、前記処理装置は前記第2モードから前記第1モードに移行する、請求項4に記載の自立型ろ過装置。
- 前記センサーの出力が許容できる範囲内に戻らなかった場合には、前記処理装置は前記第2モードから前記第3モードに移行する、請求項4に記載の自立型ろ過装置。
