Description
包装ラミネートは、溶解し分散させたPVOHと、乾燥物質として計算された10重量%のベントナイトクレイとの水性気体障壁組成物2×1g/m2を、間に乾燥ステップを入れた2つの連続ステップで、Frovi製の320mN CLC/C板紙上に液体被膜コーティングすることにより製造した。
異なる実験では、同じ液気障壁組成物を異なる板紙グレードにコーティングした場合、大きく変化した結果が酸素透過率に得られたことがわかった。異なる板紙によって、なぜ酸素障壁に異なる結果が生じるのか、完全に理解されていない。異なる板に、モンモリロナイトを含むPVOH 2×1g/m2を上述のようにコーティングし、次いで上述のように、それぞれPE内部又は金属化PEフィルムでさらにラミネートした。平らな包装ラミネートの酸素透過率を、23℃及び50%RHで測定した。以下の板紙をコーティングした(1から8まで番号が付されている。):

Claims (42)
- 紙又は板紙のコア層(11;11’)と、第1の最外液密ヒートシール性ポリオレフィン層(16)と、第2の最内液密ヒートシール性ポリオレフィン層(15)と、前記紙又は板紙のコア層の内面に直接コーティングし隣接している、液体の気体障壁組成物を液体被膜コーティングし、その後の乾燥することによって形成された酸素気体障壁層(12)とを含み、前記液体組成物が、水性又は溶媒媒体中に分散され又は溶解したポリマー結合剤及び無機粒子を含有するものである、液体食品を包装するための、気体障壁特性を有する包装ラミネート(10a;10b)であって、ポリマー基材フィルム上にコーティングされた蒸着障壁層(14)をさらに含み、前記蒸着障壁層(14)は、前記酸素気体障壁層(12)と前記最内ヒートシール性ポリオレフィン層(15)との間に配置されており、前記蒸着障壁層コーティング済フィルム(14−15)は、中間ポリマー層(13)によって前記酸素気体障壁層コーティング済コア層(11−12)に結合されている、上記包装ラミネート。
- 上記酸素気体障壁層が、乾燥コーティング重量あたり60から99重量%の上記ポリマー結合剤を含む、請求項1に記載の液体食品包装用の包装ラミネート。
- 上記ポリマー結合剤が、気体障壁特性を有するポリマーであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の液体食品包装用の包装ラミネート。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が、好ましくはPVOH又は水分散性EVOHなどのビニルアルコールをベースにしたポリマー、及びアクリル酸又はメタクリル酸ポリマー、多糖、多糖誘導体、及びこれら2種以上の組合せからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の液体食品包装用の包装ラミネート。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤が、好ましくは少なくとも98%、より好ましくは少なくとも99%の鹸化度を有するPVOHであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の液体食品包装用の包装ラミネート。
- 前記無機粒子が、層の形状であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記無機粒子が、主に、50から5000のアスペクト比を有する層状のナノサイズのクレイ粒子からなることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記無機粒子が、剥離状態になるように分散していることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記無機粒子が、モンモリロナイトであることを特徴とする、請求項6〜8のいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記無機粒子が、主に、10から500のアスペクト比を有する層状タルカム粒子からなることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記酸素気体障壁層(12)が、乾燥重量で0.1から5g/m 2 、好ましくは0.5から3.5g/m 2 、より好ましくは0.5から2g/m 2 の総量で付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1から10までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記酸素気体障壁層(12)が、2部以上の層として、それぞれ0.5から2g/m 2 、好ましくはそれぞれ0.5から1g/m 2 の量で、中間乾燥を伴う2つ以上の連続ステップで付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1から11までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 酸素気体障壁層(12)が、紙又は板紙のコア層に直接隣接していることを特徴とする、請求項1から12までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着障壁層(14)が、金属又は無機金属化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1から13までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着障壁層(14)が、実質的にアルミニウム又は酸化アルミニウムからなる層であることを特徴とする、請求項1から14までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着障壁層(14)が炭素ベースの層であることを特徴とする、請求項1から13までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着障壁層(14)が、5から200nm(50から2000Å)の厚さで付着されることを特徴とする、請求項1から16までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着用のポリマー基材フィルムが、ポリオレフィンをベースにしたフィルムであることを特徴とする、請求項1から17までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 蒸着用のポリマー基材フィルムが、前記最内ヒートシール性ポリオレフィン層(15)も含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から18までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記最内ヒートシール性ポリオレフィン層(15)が、主に低密度ポリエチレンからなり、好ましくは、主に線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)からなることを特徴とする、請求項1から19までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記ポリマー基材フィルムが、前記最内ヒートシール性ポリマー(15)からなる1軸配向フィルム(34a)であることを特徴とする、請求項18から20までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記1軸配向フィルム(15,34a)が、大半が低密度ポリエチレンを含み、好ましくは線状低密度ポリエチレンを含むことを特徴とする、請求項21に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記1軸配向フィルム(15,34a)が、20μm以下、好ましくは15μm以下の厚さを有することを特徴とする、請求項21又は22に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 1軸配向フィルム(15,34a)が、官能基で変性されたポリオレフィンのスキン層を含み、前記スキン層上には蒸着障壁層(14)が付着されていることを特徴とする、請求項21から23までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 変性ポリオレフィンが、エチレン(メタ)アクリル酸コポリマー(EAA又はEMAA)であることを特徴とする、請求項24に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 前記蒸着障壁層コーティング済フィルム(14−15)が、ポリオレフィン及びポリオレフィンをベースにした接着ポリマーから選択される中間ポリマー層(13)によって、紙又は板紙コア層(11,11’)に結合されていることを特徴とする、請求項1から25までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 中間ポリマー層(13)が、包装ラミネートの光障壁特性を改善するために、黒色顔料の形をとる無機粒子をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項26に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 中間ポリマー層(13)が、包装ラミネートの光障壁特性を改善するために、白色顔料の形をとる無機粒子をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項26に記載の包装ラミネート。
- 紙又は板紙のコア層(11,11’,21a)を提供するステップ、
水性又は溶媒ベースの液体媒体中に分散され又は溶解したポリマー結合剤及び無機粒子を含有する液体の気体障壁組成物を提供するステップ、
液体組成物を前記紙又は板紙のコア層(11,11’,21a)の第1の面上にコーティングし(22a)、その後、前記液体を蒸発乾燥する(22b)ことにより、前記ポリマー結合剤及び無機粒子を含む薄い酸素気体障壁層(12)を形成するステップ、
中間ポリマー層(13;24)を用いて、蒸着障壁層コーティング済ポリマー基体フィルム(23;23a)を酸素気体障壁層(12)の内側にラミネートするステップ、
蒸着障壁層(14)の内側にヒートシール性ポリオレフィンの最内層(15)を提供するステップ、及び
コア層(11,11’21a)の外側にヒートシール性ポリオレフィンの最外層(16;26)を提供するステップ
を含む、請求項1から28までのいずれか一項に記載の包装ラミネート(10a;10b)を製造する方法。 - 酸素気体障壁層(12)が、紙又は板紙のコア層(11,11’21a)の内側に直接コーティングされている、請求項29に記載の方法。
- 液体組成物中に含有されるポリマー結合剤が、PVOH、水分散性EVOH、アクリル又はメタクリル酸ポリマー、多糖、多糖誘導体、及びこれら2種以上の組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項29又は30に記載の方法。
- 酸素気体障壁層(12)が、乾燥重量で0.1から5g/m2、好ましくは0.5から3.5g/m2、より好ましくは0.5から2g/m2の総量で付着される、請求項29から31までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 酸素気体障壁層(12)が、2部以上の層として、それぞれ0.5から2g/m2の量で、好ましくはそれぞれ0.5から1g/m2の量で、中間乾燥を伴う2つ以上の連続ステップで付着される、請求項29から32までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ポリマー基材フィルム(23)を提供するステップ、及び
蒸着障壁層(14;23a)を、ポリマー基材フィルム(23)上に蒸着するステップを更に含む、請求項29から33までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 蒸着用のポリマー基材フィルム(34a)が、最内ヒートシール性ポリマー層(15;23)を含むフィルムの押出しブロー(32)によって生成される、請求項29から34までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 蒸着コーティングの前に、ブローポリマー基材フィルム(34)を1軸配向する(36)ステップをさらに含み、前記ポリマー基材フィルム(34a)は大半が線状低密度ポリエチレンを含むものである、請求項35に記載の方法。
- 大半が線状低密度ポリエチレンを含むポリマー基材フィルム(23;34a)が、20μm以下、好ましくは15μm以下の厚さにまで1軸配向される(36)、請求項36に記載の方法。
- 蒸着障壁層(14;23a)が実質的にアルミニウム金属又は酸化アルミニウムからなり、ポリマー基材フィルム(23;34a;44a)上に蒸着される(40)、請求項29から37までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 蒸着障壁層(14;23a)が、5から200nm(50から2000Å)の厚さにまで付着される、請求項26から38までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 蒸着障壁層コーティング済フィルム(14−15;23;23a)が、中間ポリマー層(13;24)との押出しラミネートによって、酸素気体障壁層(12)の内側にラミネートされる、請求項29から39までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 中間ポリマー層(13;24)は、熱可塑性結合層であり、蒸着障壁層(14;23a)は金属化合物の層であり、
付着された酸素気体障壁層(12)上に中間ポリマー層(13)を液体被膜コーティングするステップ、乾燥するステップ、及びその後、蒸着障壁層コーティング済フィルム(14−15;23−23a)を、中間ポリマー層(13)に熱圧ラミネートするステップをさらに含む、請求項29から39までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 請求項1から28までのいずれか一項に指定された包装ラミネート(10a;10b)から製造された包装容器(50a;50b)。
