Description
一般的にレーザー溶着は、溶着する部位にのみレーザー光を照射することにより部材同士を接合するものである。しかしながら、インクジェット記録ヘッドのインク流路を形成する場合のように、接合面の構造が微細な場合には、微細なインク流路に対応する部分にマスクを設けて、接合面のみにレーザー光を照射することは難しい。
本発明の参考例1について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
図2(b)に示すように、反射部225は第1流路部229へ向けて照射されるレーザー光52の進路上に位置しているため、第1流路部229へ向かうレーザー光52の一部又は全部を反射し、第1流路部229に到達するレーザー光の量を低減することができる。そのため、図14(c)で説明したようなインク流路内のダメージを低減することが可能となる。また、第2の流路形成部材に対するレーザー光の入射角θ1が大きくなるように、反射部225を構成する傾斜面を第1の面220aの主面に対して傾斜させることで、第1流路部229へ向かうレーザー光が反射部225で反射する割合を大きくすることができる。

Claims (11)
- 液体を吐出するための吐出口を有する液体吐出基板と、前記液体吐出基板に液体を供給するための流路とを有する液体吐出ヘッドであって、
レーザー光に対して吸収性を有する吸収性部材であって、該吸収性部材の一面に前記流路の壁の一部を構成する第1流路部が形成された吸収性部材と、
レーザー光に対して透過性を有する透過性部材であって、該透過性部材の一面に前記流路の前記壁の他の一部を構成する第2流路部が形成された透過性部材と、
を含み、
前記透過性部材を通して、前記第1流路部および該第1流路部の周辺へ向けてレーザー光を照射して、前記吸収性部材の前記一面と前記透過性部材の前記一面とが前記第1流路部の周辺で溶着されることにより、前記流路が形成されており、
前記第2流路部は、前記透過性部材の前記一面の主面に対して凹んだ凹部で構成されており、該凹部は前記第1流路部へ向かうレーザー光を反射可能に、前記透過性部材の前記一面の主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含み、
前記透過性部材は、前記流路が前記液体吐出基板と連通するための開口が形成されており、前記第1流路部のうち前記開口を通過したレーザー光が照射される部位は、前記吸収性部材の前記一面の前記主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含むことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド。 - 液体を吐出するための吐出口を有する液体吐出基板と、前記液体吐出基板に液体を供給するための流路とを有する液体吐出ヘッドであって、
レーザー光に対して吸収性を有する吸収性部材であって、該吸収性部材の一面に前記流路の壁の一部を構成する第1流路部が形成された吸収性部材と、
レーザー光に対して透過性を有する透過性部材であって、該透過性部材の一面に前記流路の前記壁の他の一部を構成する第2流路部が形成された透過性部材と、
を含み、
前記透過性部材を通して、前記第1流路部および該第1流路部の周辺へ向けてレーザー光を照射して、前記吸収性部材の前記一面と前記透過性部材の前記一面とが前記第1流路部の周辺で溶着されることにより、前記流路が形成されており、
前記透過性部材は、前記流路が前記液体吐出基板と連通するための開口が形成されており、前記第1流路部のうち前記開口を通過したレーザー光が照射される部位は、前記吸収性部材の前記一面の主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含むことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記第2流路部の前記傾斜面は、平面または曲面で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記第2流路部の前記傾斜面は、2つの平面で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記第2流路部は、前記透過性部材に一体成形されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記第1流路部は、前記吸収性部材に一体成形されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記第1流路部の前記傾斜面は平面又は曲面で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記流路は、前記液体吐出基板と該液体吐出基板に供給する液体を収容するインクタンクとの間に配置されており、
前記流路を介して、前記液体吐出基板と前記インクタンクとが連通することを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記液体吐出ヘッドは、前記インクタンクを保持するタンクホルダを有し、該タンクホルダの一部が前記吸収性部材を構成していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 液体を吐出するための吐出口を有する液体吐出基板と、前記液体吐出基板に液体を供給するための流路とを含む液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
レーザー光に対して吸収性を有しており、一面に前記流路の壁の一部を構成する第1流路部が形成された吸収性部材を用意する工程と、
レーザー光に対して透過性を有しており、一面に前記流路の前記壁の他の一部を構成する第2流路部が形成された透過性部材を用意する工程と、
前記透過性部材を通して、前記第1流路部および該第1流路部の周辺へ向けてレーザー光を照射して、前記吸収性部材の前記一面と前記透過性部材の前記一面とを前記第1流路部の周辺で溶着して、前記流路を形成する工程と、
を含み、
前記第2流路部は、前記透過性部材の前記一面の主面に対して凹んだ凹部で構成されており、該凹部は前記第1流路部へ向かうレーザー光を反射可能に、前記透過性部材の前記一面の前記主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含み、
前記透過性部材は、前記流路が前記液体吐出基板と連通するための開口が形成されており、前記第1流路部のうち前記開口を通過したレーザー光が照射される部位は、前記吸収性部材の前記一面の前記主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含むことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 液体を吐出するための吐出口を有する液体吐出基板と、前記液体吐出基板に液体を供給するための流路とを含む液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
レーザー光に対して吸収性を有しており、一面に前記流路の壁の一部を構成する第1流路部が形成された吸収性部材を用意する工程と、
レーザー光に対して透過性を有しており、一面に前記流路の前記壁の他の一部を構成する第2流路部が形成された透過性部材を用意する工程と、
前記透過性部材を通して、前記第1流路部および該第1流路部の周辺へ向けてレーザー光を照射して、前記吸収性部材の前記一面と前記透過性部材の前記一面とを前記第1流路部の周辺で溶着して、前記流路を形成する工程と、
を含み、
前記透過性部材は、前記流路が前記液体吐出基板と連通するための開口が形成されており、前記第1流路部のうち前記開口を通過したレーザー光が照射される部位は、前記吸収性部材の前記一面の主面に対して傾斜した傾斜面を含むことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
