Description
本比較例は、Li4Ti5O12活性物質をアルミニウム電流コレクター上にコーティングした負極を使用しているリチウムイオン電池の過放電性能と、炭素活性物質を銅電流コレクター上にコーティングした場合のリチウムイオン電池の過放電性能とを比較して示している。全ての場合において、5.53mAhの容量を有するLiCoO2活性物質をアルミニウム電流コレクター上にコーティングした正極に対して電極をサイクルした。
本比較例では、銅で造られた負電流コレクターとは対照的に、アルミニウムで造られた負電流コレクター上にLi4Ti5O12活性物質を使用することの有望で有利な特徴を説明する。下記の全ての場合において、LiCoO2活性物質を有する容量が14.1mAhの正極に対して負極をサイクルした。
Claims (13)
- リチウムイオン電池であって、
正極であって、電流コレクターと、
LiCoO2、
LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2、
LiAlxCoyNi(1−x−y)O2、ここで、xは0.05〜0.3であり、yは0.1〜0.3である、
LiTixCoyNi(1−x−y)O2、ここで、xは0.05〜0.3であり、yは0.1〜0.3である、
およびこれらの組み合わせ物
からなる群から選択される物質を含んだ活性物質とを含む正極;および
負極であって、負極の電流コレクターと、チタン酸リチウム物質を含んだ活性物質とを含み、該負極の電流コレクターが、アルミニウム、チタン、銀、およびこれらの組み合わせ物からなる群から選択される物質を含む負極;
を含むリチウムイオン電池であり、
該正極および該負極が、巻きつけられあるいは折りたたまれて電池部材をもたらし、そして、該正極および該負極が、該負極のエッジが該正極のエッジを延び出ないように配置されており、
該電池が、該両電流コレクターの腐食や活性物質の分解を起すことなく正極と負極との間の電圧差がゼロボルトである状態にサイクルすべく設計されているリチウムイオン電池。 - 該負電流コレクターがアルミニウムを含む、請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該正電流コレクターがアルミニウムを含む、請求項1または2に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 電池ケースを、該負極と接触した状態でさらに含み、該電池ケースがアルミニウムを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該負極の活性物質が、該負極に増大した導電性をもたらすための導電性物質を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該導電性物質が炭素を含む、請求項5に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該チタン酸リチウム物質がLi4Ti5O12を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該電池が10mAh〜1000mAhの容量を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該正極と該負極が、正極活性物質の分解電位より高いゼロ電圧交差電位を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池であって、該ゼロ電圧交差電位が、正極と負極との間の電圧差がゼロボルトである状態のリチウムに対する正極及び負極の電位を意味するリチウムイオン電池。
- 該ゼロ電圧交差電位が3.8ボルトである、請求項9に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 医療デバイス中に組み込まれる、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該医療デバイスの少なくとも一部が患者の体内に埋め込まれるように設計されている、請求項11に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
- 該医療デバイスが、神経刺激デバイス、細動除去器、心臓ペースメーカー、心収縮モジュール、心収縮モジュレータ、電気除細動器、薬物投与デバイス、蝸牛インプラント、補聴器、センサー、テレメトリーデバイス、および診断レコーダーからなる群から選択される、請求項11または12に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
