Description
また、遮蔽部材を筐体に着脱自在にしたので、読取手段へのアクセスを容易にして、読取手段のメンテナンスを容易に行うことができる。
この構成により、原稿からの反射光を読取手段に導く光路を確保して照明手段と読取手段を光学的に遮断することができる。
この構成により、照射領域における副走査方向の照度分布のばらつきを少なくして、常に安定した光量を維持することができ、より鮮明な画像を読み取ることができる。
また、反射部を有する遮蔽部材に形成された光源位置決め部に光源を着脱自在にすることで、照明手段を分解および組み立てることができるため、反射部や光源の清掃や交換等のメンテナンス作業の作業性を向上させることができる。
図1〜図15は、本発明に係る画像読取装置および画像読取装置を備えた画像形成装置の一実施の形態を示す図であり、本実施の形態では、カラー複写機に適用した例を示している。
図1において、画像形成装置としてのカラー複写機1は、自動原稿搬送部(以下、ADFともいう)2と、給紙部3と、画像読取装置4と、画像形成部5とを含んで構成されている。
また、カラー複写機1は、図示しない画像送受信装置によって読み取った画像を相手先の装置に送信する機能も備えている。
図3に示すように、一体型走査光学ユニット40は、筐体41と、筐体41に着脱自在に設けられた遮蔽部材42と、遮蔽部材42に着脱自在に設けられ、遮蔽部材42との間に原稿Pの照射領域W1にLEDユニット44から照射を行うための開口43aを有するカバー部材43とを備えている。なお、筐体41、遮蔽部材42およびカバー部材43は、それぞれ樹脂製である。
図3において、カバー部材43の下面には反射部47が設けられており、カバー部材43に対向する遮蔽部材42の上面には反射部48、49が設けられている。
なお、他方の穴53bは、主走査方向に延在する長穴となっているため、LED基板45が副走査方向に傾いてしまうのを防止することができる。
すなわち、遮蔽部材42は、筐体41内に画像読取部54が収納された空間としての第2の空間58が画成されるように原稿照明部56と画像読取部54とを隔離している。
なお、図10は、筐体41を上方から見たときの斜視図、図11は、筐体41、遮蔽部材42およびカバー部材43を分解したときの一体型走査光学ユニット40の要部斜視図、図12は、筐体41および遮蔽部材42とカバー部材43とを分解したときの一体型走査光学ユニット40の要部斜視図、図13は、筐体41、遮蔽部材42およびカバー部材43が組み付けられた状態を示す一体型走査光学ユニット40の要部斜視図である。
本実施の形態では、カバー部材43の溝50および遮蔽部材42の溝51にLED基板45の上下端部を嵌合した後、遮蔽部材42の突起52a、52bにカバー部材43の穴53a、53bを嵌合することにより、遮蔽部材42とカバー部材43の位置決め、すなわち、反射部47〜49の位置決めと反射部47〜49に対するLED基板45の位置決めを同時に行うことができる。
このような組み付け手順によって一体型走査光学ユニット40の組み付けが行われる。

Claims (4)
- 筐体と、前記筐体に着脱自在に設けられ、光源および前記光源からの光を原稿の照射領域に照射する反射部を備えた照明手段と、前記筐体に設けられ、原稿から反射された光を読み取る読取手段とを含んで構成される一体型走査光学ユニットを備え、
前記一体型走査光学ユニットを原稿の副走査方向に移動させることにより、原稿を読み取るようにした画像読取装置において、
前記一体型走査光学ユニットは、
前記筐体に着脱自在に設けられ、前記筐体内に前記読取手段が収納された空間が画成されるように前記照明手段と前記読取手段とを隔離する遮蔽部材と、
前記遮蔽部材と対向する面に溝を有するカバー部材とを含んで構成され、
前記遮蔽部材は、前記原稿から反射された光を前記空間に導くように主走査方向に延在する長尺のスリットと、
前記筐体に設けられた第1の位置決め部と、
前記第1の位置決め部に嵌合され、前記照明手段と前記読取手段との位置決めを行う第2の位置決め部と、
前記光源を前記反射部に対して位置決めする光源位置決め部とを備え、
前記光源は、前記遮蔽部材の前記光源位置決め部および前記カバー部材の前記溝に嵌合され、前記遮蔽部材および前記カバー部材に挟持されることにより前記反射部に対して位置決めされ、
前記照明手段は、前記光源が前記反射部に対して位置決めされることで前記読取手段に対して一義的に位置決めされ、
前記反射部が、前記遮蔽部材および前記カバー部材に設けられることを特徴とする画像読取装置。 - 前記読取手段は、前記スリットを通して前記空間に導かれた原稿の反射光を反射させる複数の反射ミラーと、前記反射ミラーで反射された光を結像させる結像レンズと、前記結像レンズの結像位置に配置され、原稿の画像を読み取る撮像素子とを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像読取装置。
- 前記遮蔽部材は、前記照明手段の底面を構成し、前記第2の位置決め部は、少なくとも前記遮蔽部材の主走査方向の両端部に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の画像読取装置。
- 請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の画像読取装置を備えた画像形成装置であって、
前記読取手段によって読み取られた画像を記録媒体上に形成する画像形成手段を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
