Description
Claims (9)
- 半導体LEDダイの上面の法線に放射された光の大部分が前記法線から離れてリダイレクトされる、少なくとも1つの側面発光非レーザ発光ダイオード(LED)と、
光が放射される出力面をもつ光ガイドとを有し、
前記光ガイドは、前記出力面と反対側の第1の面に少なくとも1つのインデント部をもち、各インデント部が側面発光LEDを含み、前記インデント部の壁が前記第1の面の部分を形成し、
前記光ガイドは、各LEDの上の暗いエリア、又は、各LEDに隣接した明るいエリアの出現を制限するための、前記出力面及び前記第1の面のうち少なくとも一方に光学的特徴体をもち、前記光学的特徴体は、前記光ガイドの出力面に渡る輝度の均一性を向上させるために光をリダイレクトし、
前記側面発光LEDが前記光ガイドの前記出力面で暗点として現れないように、各LEDを覆う光学的特徴体に当たる前記光ガイド内の光が、前記光ガイドの前記出力面に向かってリダイレクトされるように、前記光学的特徴体が、各LEDを含む前記少なくとも1つのインデント部の上壁に形成された少なくとも1つの光学的特徴体を有する、発光デバイス。 - 半導体LEDダイの上面の法線に放射された光の大部分が前記法線から離れてリダイレクトされる、少なくとも1つの側面発光非レーザ発光ダイオード(LED)と、
光が放射される出力面をもつ光ガイドとを有し、
前記光ガイドは、前記出力面と反対側の第1の面に少なくとも1つのインデント部をもち、各インデント部が側面発光LEDを含み、前記インデント部の壁が前記第1の面の部分を形成し、
前記光ガイドは、各LEDの上の暗いエリア、又は、各LEDに隣接した明るいエリアの出現を制限するための、前記出力面及び前記第1の面のうち少なくとも一方に光学的特徴体をもち、前記光学的特徴体は、前記光ガイドの出力面に渡る輝度の均一性を向上させるために光をリダイレクトし、
前記側面発光LEDが、前記光ガイドの前記出力面で暗点として現れないように、各LEDの上の光学的特徴体に当たる光が、前記LEDの概ね上の前記出力面を介して放射されるようにリダイレクトされるように、前記光学的特徴体が、各LEDの概ね上の前記光ガイドの前記出力面に形成された少なくとも1つの光学的特徴体を有する、発光デバイス。 - 前記光学的特徴体は、凹凸のある特徴体を有する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記光学的特徴体は、前記光ガイドの面に又は面上に形成されたプリズム、ヒップルーフ(hip roof)、球、楕円体、ピラミッド、ピット、バンプ又は穴を有する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記光学的特徴体は、前記光ガイドの表面に成型される、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記光学的特徴体は、前記光ガイドの表面上に置かれた散乱反射体を有する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記散乱反射体は、白色顔料を有する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記光ガイドは、複数のセルを有し、各セルは、少なくとも1つのLEDを含み、少なくとも1つのLEDを囲むセル壁を有し、各セル壁は、少なくとも部分的に反射型である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の発光デバイス。
- 前記セル壁は、前記光ガイドの前記出力面に向かって光をリダイレクトするように角度付けされる、請求項8に記載の発光デバイス。
