Abstract
Description
図1は、HIDランプを流れるランプ電流を、種々の調光レベルに対し時間の関数として示すグラフ線図である。
第1の検査はフィリップス社製の型番CDM‐T70W/830のランプに関するものであり、これは、公称ランプ電流Inom を約0.85Aとし公称出力を70Wとしたランプである。このランプを最初に図1a及び1bに示す上述した方形波電流で点灯させた。この電流の大きさを、ランプが消灯するまでゆっくり減少させた。この消灯は50%の調光レベルに相当する約35Wのランプ出力で生じ、ランプが消灯した際のαは0.5であることを確かめた。
第2の検査はフィリップス社製の型番SDW‐T100Wのランプに関するものであり、これは、公称ランプ電流Inom を約1.1Aとし公称出力を100Wとしたランプである。上述したのと同じ実験を行なった。このランプは、方形波電流を用いた場合、公称出力の40%の調光レベルに相当する約40Wのランプ出力で消灯し、ランプが消灯した際のαは約0.5であった。
第3の検査はフィリップス社製の型番CDM‐T150W/830のランプに関するものであり、これは、公称ランプ電流Inom を約1.7Aとし公称出力を150Wとしたランプである。上述したのと同じ実験を行なった。このランプは、方形波電流を用いた場合、公称出力の40%の調光レベルに相当する約60Wのランプ出力で消灯し、ランプが消灯した際のαは約0.4であった。
Claims (7)
- ガス放電ランプ、特にHIDランプ、更に特にMHランプを点灯させるランプ点灯方法において、
‐ β<α≦1の場合に、電流レベルIL =αInom で転流直流電流をランプに供給し、
‐ α≦βの場合に、電流レベルIL =αInom で転流直流電流をランプに供給し、
‐ IL が実際のランプ電流を表わし、Inom が公称ランプ電流を表わし、βが1よりも小さい予め決定した値であるようにするランプ点灯方法。 - 請求項1に記載のランプ点灯方法において、βをほぼ0.6に等しくするランプ点灯方法。
- ガス放電ランプ、特にHIDランプ、更に特にMHランプを調光するランプ調光方法であって、このランプ調光方法が、
‐ αを1以下とした電流値IL =αInom を有する転流直流電流をもって公称出力でランプを点灯させる工程と、
‐ 電流値IL を減少させるが、αが予め決定した値βに達するまで転流直流電流でランプを依然として点灯させる工程と、
‐ αが値βに達した際に電流値IL =αInom の直流電流をランプに与える工程と、
‐ 電流値を更に減少させるが、依然としてランプに直流電流を与える工程と
を有するランプ調光方法。 - 請求項3に記載のランプ調光方法において、βをほぼ0.6に等しくするランプ調光方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実施するように設計したガス放電ランプ用ドライバ。
- 請求項5に記載のガス放電ランプ用ドライバにおいて、このガス放電ランプ用ドライバが、
‐ ほぼ一定の電流を発生する可制御電流発生手段と、
‐ 電流値が予め決定した電流レベルを越える場合に前記電流を転流させ、電流値がこの予め決定した電流レベルよりも低い場合に前記電流を直流電流として出力するように設計した可制御転流手段と
を有するガス放電ランプ用ドライバ。 - 請求項5又は6に記載のガス放電ランプ用ドライバにおいて、このガス放電ランプ用ドライバがユーザ可調整制御ユニットを有し、このユーザ可調整制御ユニットが、前記可制御電流発生手段の電流値を制御する制御信号を発生する第1制御出力端と、前記可制御転流手段を制御する制御信号を発生する第2制御出力端とを有し、前記ユーザ可調整制御ユニットは、制御された電流値が前記予め決定した電流レベルよりも大きい場合に前記可制御転流手段を転流モードに切換えるとともに、制御された電流値が前記予め決定した電流レベルより小さい場合に前記可制御転流手段を直流モードに切換えるように構成されているガス放電ランプ用ドライバ。
