Abstract

An LCD (liquid crystal display) usually needs to have the light source disposed at the back wherein the backlight module is often used for these small-sized, portable crystal panels for the electronic device. The prior art of the backlight module needs to add spot reflectors on the lens to enable the light to output completely from the LED, and since the mixing chamber works as the space for infilling gas to achieve the best uniformity of the luminance, the distance between the bottom of the mixing chamber and the first diffuser plate (Diff 1) and the second diffuser plate (Diff 2) is regulatory defined. The present invention aims to change the structure of the backlight module which is to change the part of the mixing chamber into a light guide plate with LED insertion part, enabling to easily derive the mixed light from the side emitting of the LED. Hence, the backlight module using the light guide plate can greatly reduce thickness and the amount of LED to truly achieve lower power, less thickness, high luminance and even brightness.
