Description
第1主要平面と、該第1主要平面から離れて一般的には平行となっている第2主要平面とを有する溶融バリヤー層;および
本発明の接着層のポリマー混合組成物を含み、第1主要平面と、該第1主要平面から離れて一般的には平行となっている第2主要平面とを有する接着フィルム層;
を含み、前記溶融バリヤー層の一主要平面は直接または間接に前記接着フィルム層の一主要平面に結合している。ここで間接的な結合とはコア層を介した結合のことを指す。
3層の2.0ミル(50μm)フィルムを、22インチ(55.9cm)径の金型と、4個の7.5cm(2.95インチ)押出機と、1個の10cm(3.94インチ)押出機とを備えた従来の上向きインフレーションフィルムラインを用いて共押出する。該フィルムはABC構造と呼ぶ構造を有しており、最も外側の層がA、中心またはコア層がB、および最も内側の層がCである。層Aの樹脂を7.5cm押出機中で混合する。コア層Bの樹脂を3個の押出機(2個の7.5cm押出機および10cm押出機;全てコアの配合を含む)で供給する。層Cは7.5cm押出機で供給する。この押出機の組み合わせにより、フィルム製造の許容される速度を維持しつつ層の相対的な厚さを調節することができる。層を供給する押出機において次の傾斜を与える:層A 260oF(127℃)〜320oF(160℃);層B 260oF(127℃)〜320oF(160℃);および層C 230oF(110℃)〜250oF(121℃)。ダイゾーン(die zones)を320oF(160℃)に設定する。これにより84インチ(2.13m)幅のインフレーションバブル(lay-flat bubble)が製造される。
EAA−1はThe Dow Chemical CompanyよりPrimacor(登録商標)5980iの商品名で入手可能な市販のエチレンアクリル酸樹脂である。
EMA−1はAtofinaよりLOTRYL(登録商標)28MA07の商品名で入手可能な市販のエチレンアクリル酸メチル樹脂である。
LDPE−1はThe Dow Chemical Companyより681iの商品名で入手可能な市販の低密度ポリエチレンであり、1.2g/10分間のメルトインデックスを有する。
LDPE−2はThe Dow Chemical Companyより5004iの商品名で入手可能な市販の低密度ポリエチレンである。
FILLER−1はDuPont Canada Inc.よりMICAFIL(登録商標)40の商品名で入手可能な市販のHDPE中マイカ40重量%分散液である。
LLDPE−1はThe Dow Chemical CompanyよりDOWLEX(登録商標)2247Gの商品名で入手可能な市販の直鎖状低密度エチレンポリマーである。
HDPE−1はThe Dow Chemical Company(Union Carbide Corporation)よりDMDA8907 NT7の商品名で入手可能な市販の高密度ポリエチレンである。
Claims (9)
- (A)摂氏40度(℃)以下のビカー点(ASTM D1525)を有する少なくとも40重量パーセントのエチレン/アクリル酸アルキルコポリマーと、1〜10重量パーセントのエチレン/α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸コポリマーと、少なくとも20重量パーセントの低密度ポリエチレンと、0〜7重量パーセントのフィラーとを含む接着層(以下、組成物Aと呼ぶ。)、
(B)少なくとも20重量パーセントの直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)と、少なくとも20重量パーセントのLLDPEとは異なる低密度ポリエチレンと、少なくとも10重量パーセントの高密度ポリエチレンと、0〜5重量パーセントのフィラーとを含むコア層(以下、組成物Bと呼ぶ。)、および
(C)少なくとも90重量パーセントの高密度ポリエチレンを含むバリヤー層(以下、組成物Cと呼ぶ。)
(ただし、各層において、前記百分率はポリマーとフィラーとを合わせた重量を全体で100重量パーセントとしたものを基準とする。)
の順で積層されてなる多層フィルムであって、
5〜25容量パーセントの1つまたは複数の組成物Aの層、50〜90容量パーセントの1つまたは複数の組成物Bの層、および5〜25容量パーセントの1つまたは複数の組成物Cの層を含む、多層フィルム。 - 前記アクリル酸アルキルがアクリル酸メチルであり、前記コポリマーがコポリマーの重量を基準として26重量パーセント〜31重量パーセントのアクリル酸メチル含有量を有する、請求項1に記載の多層フィルム。
- 前記エチレン/α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸コポリマーが、コポリマーの重量を基準として、5重量パーセント以上22重量パーセント以下の範囲内のアクリル酸含有量を有するエチレン/アクリル酸コポリマー、またはエチレン/メタクリル酸コポリマーである、請求項1または2に記載の多層フィルム。
- 前記エチレン/α,β−エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸コポリマーがエチレン/メタクリル酸コポリマーである、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 層Cが前記多層フィルムの10〜20容量パーセントである、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 前記フィルムが、
10〜30N/mm2のMD極限引張強さ、
8〜25N/mm2のTD極限引張強さ、
250〜750パーセントのMD極限伸び、
550〜1050パーセントのTD極限伸び、
独立に1〜25g/μmのMDおよびTDエルメンドルフ引き裂き強さ、
独立に210〜450N/mm2であるMDおよびTD両者の2%割線弾性係数、
幅1cmあたり0.40〜1.1Nのアルミニウムからの剥離強度、ならびに
220〜700mL/Mであるハガティ粗度
の特性のうちの少なくとも2つを有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の多層フィルム。 - 前記フィルムは、アルミホイルの表面に対する、2秒間のシール時間における、華氏230度(摂氏110度)ホットバーシール接着強度が、同一の溶融バリヤー層と、存在する場合には同一の中間コア層とを有するが、同一のエチレン/アクリル酸メチルコポリマーを含み、エチレン/アクリル酸コポリマーを実質的に含まない接着層を有する多層フィルム構造の華氏230度(摂氏110度)ホットバーシール接着強度よりも高い、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の多層フィルム。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の多層フィルムであって、それが少なくとも請求項1に記載の多層フィルムに直接接着する表面を有する固形材料をさらに含んでいる積層体の一部である多層フィルム。
- 前記固形材料が、木材、木製品、もしくはセメント系材料、塗装された金属、プラスチック、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項8に記載の多層フィルム。
