Description
ここでRは送信側と受信側間の伝送距離、cは光速度、xは測定装置での遅延である。基地局間の距離が大きければこの式1はR/cできまる。無線電磁波は光速で、すなわちほぼ1フィート/ナノ秒、すなわち3×108m/sで伝播する。基地局間の同期化の目的はそれら基地局を1−3マイクロ秒以内で整合させることである。それゆえ、基地局間の距離が1/2マイル(1km)以上であると、その距離が重要になる。しかしながら、間隔が数十メートルのピコセルまたはマイクロセルについては、重要である測定精度xと比較してその距離の重要性は低い。
この値と測定値の差時間ベースの不整合を示すインジケータとなることになる。当業者には明かなことであるが、ピコサイズのセルについてそうであるように距離r1とr2が充分に小さいとすればそれらの値を知る必要はないことになる。観測された到達時間の差は電磁波の時間差の目安として直接に使うことが出来る。

Claims (6)
- 同期バーストに関連した計時の指示をマスターセルに送信するように構成されている回路であって、当該同期バーストが、他のセルよりも良い時間同期品質を有するマスターセル以外のセルから送信され、かつ当該マスターセルによって測定されるものである、回路と、
前記マスターセルから、基地局到達時間(BSTOA)を受信するように構成されている回路と、
前記マスターセル以外の少なくとも1つのセルに、時刻調整を送信するように構成されている回路と、
を備える集積回路(IC)。 - 共分散マトリクスのデーターベースを更新するように構成されている回路をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のIC。
- 無線回路網コントローラ(RNC)において実施されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のIC。
- 基地局において実施されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のIC。
- 集積回路(IC)であって、
同期バーストに関連した計時の指示を少なくとも1つのマスターセルから出力するように構成されている回路であって、前記マスターセルが他のセルよりも良い時間同期品質を有し、前記マスターセル内に前記ICが存在する、回路と、
前記マスターセル以外の少なくとも1つのセルに対して、少なくとも前記マスターセルからの同期信号を測定し、前記同期バーストに関連した計時を無線回路網コントローラ(RNC)に指示するように構成され、前記マスターセル以外のセル内に前記ICが存在する、回路と、
前記マスターセル以外のセルに、基地局到達時間(BSTOA)値に対するリクエストを出力し、前記マスターセル内に前記ICが存在する、ように構成されている回路と、
前記BSTOA値を出力するように構成され、前記マスターセル以外のセル内に前記ICが存在する、回路と、
前記マスターセル以外の前記少なくとも1つのセルへ前記RNCから送られる、時刻調整を受信するように構成され、前記マスターセル以外のセル内に前記ICが存在する、回路と、
を備える集積回路(IC)。 - 基地局に実装されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のIC。
