Description
(a)大半の量(すなわち、>90%)の基材グリース、例えばリチウム、リチウム錯体、アルミニウム錯体、有機質粘土を添加したカルシウム錯体、及びポリ尿素化合物など。
(b)1500〜3500ppmの硫黄(S)、好ましくは2000〜2800ppmのSを供給する、チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体;
(c)77〜450ppmのモリブデン(Mo)、好ましくは192〜220ppmのMoを供給する、ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデン;
(d)600〜1000ppmの亜鉛(Zn)、好ましくは700〜900ppmのZnを供給する、ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛
を含む潤滑剤組成物を開示する。
(a)チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体;
(b)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデン;
(c)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛
を含み、S:Mo:Znの重量比は約150〜350:7.7〜45:60〜100である。この比において、Sはチアジアゾール/ポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体により供給される硫黄を指す。
(a)1つ又は複数の次のようなチアジアゾール化合物:
(i)式:以下の式で示される2,5−ジメルカプト−1,3,4−チアジアゾール(DMTD)の二量体
(ii)式:以下の式で示される2−メルカプト−1,3,4−チアジアゾール(MTD)
(b)式:以下の式で示されるポリ(エーテル)グリコール
の複合体を含む。好ましいポリ(エーテル)グリコールは、ブトキシトリグリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、又はそれらの組み合わせであるが、最後の組み合わせが最も好ましい。
(a)チアジアゾールは、DMTDのモノスルフィド二量体(式I、n=1)、DMTDのジスルフィド二量体(式I、n=2)、及びMTD(式II)のうちの1つ又は複数であってもよく;これが
(b)ポリ(エーテル)グリコール(式III)
と複合体を形成することになる。
(式中、R2及びR3は独立して、アルキル、アルケニル、アリール、アリールアルキル、アルキルアリール、及び脂環式の基を含む、)1〜18個、好ましくは2〜12個の炭素原子を含有するヒドロカルビル基である。ヒドロカルビル基の例は、エチル、n−プロピル、イソプロピル、n−ブチル、イソブチル、sec−ブチル、イソオクチル、2−エチルヘキシル、及びブチルフェニルである。ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンの場合、oは2及び4であり、xは1〜2であり、yは1〜4であり、zは1〜4である。
グリース組成物の極圧、耐腐食性、及び摩耗特性を評価するために本発明で用いた試験法は、以下のものであった。

チムケン試験は周知の規格化された試験であり、ASTM D 2509に記載されている。チムケン試験は、回転するカップと固定されたブロックとの間でアブレシブ摩耗(すなわち、摩損)が生じる際の負荷を測定する。したがって、チムケンOK負荷が高いほど、グリースのEP特性が優れている。チムケンOK負荷性能に基づく非公式のEP順位付けを以下に示す。ここで60〜80(優良又は非常に優良)の範囲にあるものはいずれも、業界標準において許容可能であると考えられる。
比較例として、本発明のZDDP成分を、本発明の他の成分は一定に保ちながら、他のリン及び亜鉛系の耐摩耗(AW)添加剤で置き換えた。表2にまとめたように、ナフテン酸亜鉛を除いて、代替物はどれも満足な耐摩耗性能をもたらさなかった。しかし、ナフテン酸亜鉛含有組成物のEP性能は満足できるものではなかった。
比較のため、本発明のチアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体成分を、他のチアジアゾール誘導体と交換した。表3にまとめたように、代替物はどれも満足なEP性能をもたらさなかった。
Claims (16)
- 重量%で、少なくとも90%の基材グリースと、
(a)1500〜3500ppmの硫黄を供給する量のチアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体と、
(b)77〜450ppmのモリブデンを供給する量のジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンと、
(c)600〜1000ppmの亜鉛を供給する量のジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛と、
を含む、潤滑剤組成物。 - (a)チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体は2000〜2800ppmの硫黄を供給し、
(b)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンは192〜220ppmのモリブデンを供給し、
(c)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛は700〜900ppmの亜鉛を供給する、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。 - 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコールは、(a)10%〜60%のチアジアゾール組成物と、(b)40%〜90%のポリ(エーテル)グリコール組成物とを含む、請求項3に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体のポリ(エーテル)グリコールは、ブトキシトリグリコール及びポリエチレングリコールの組み合わせを含む、請求項3に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記チアジアゾールは、DMTDのモノスルフィド二量体(式I、n=1)、DMTDのジスルフィド二量体(式I、n=2)、及びMTD(式II)の組み合わせを含む、請求項3に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体は、
(a)15%のDMTDのモノスルフィド二量体、10%のDMTDのジスルフィド二量体、10%のMTDと、
(b)45%のブトキシトリグリコール及び15%のポリエチレングリコールと、
を含む、請求項3に記載の潤滑剤組成物。 - (a)チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体は2400ppmの硫黄を供給し、
(b)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンは206ppmのモリブデンを供給し、
(c)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛は795ppmの亜鉛を供給する、請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。 - (a)チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体と、
(b)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンと、
(c)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛と、
を含み、
(a)チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体により供給される硫黄の重量、(b)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸モリブデンにより供給されるモリブデンの重量、及び(c)ジヒドロカルビルジチオリン酸亜鉛により供給される亜鉛の重量として計算される(a):(b):(c)の比は150〜350:7.7〜45:60〜100である、グリース用添加剤。 - 前記比は200〜280:19.2〜22:70〜90である、請求項9に記載の添加剤。
- 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコールは、(a)10%〜60%のチアジアゾール組成物と、(b)40%〜90%のポリ(エーテル)グリコール組成物とを含む、請求項11に記載の添加剤。
- 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体のポリ(エーテル)グリコールは、ブトキシトリグリコール及びポリエチレングリコールの組み合わせを含む、請求項11に記載の添加剤。
- 前記チアジアゾールは、DMTDのモノスルフィド二量体(式I、n=1)、DMTDのジスルフィド二量体(式I、n=2)、及びMTD(式II)の組み合わせを含む、請求項11に記載の添加剤。
- 前記チアジアゾールポリ(エーテル)グリコール複合体は、
(a)15%のDMTDのモノスルフィド二量体、10%のDMTDのジスルフィド二量体、10%のMTDと、
(b)45%のブトキシトリグリコール及び15%のポリエチレングリコールと、
を含む、請求項11に記載の添加剤。 - 前記比は240:20.6:79.5である、請求項9に記載の添加剤。
