Description
(1)Pr2O2SO4及び/又はPr2O2Sからなる化合物にFeを担持してなり、CO含有ガス中で酸素放出能を有する酸素吸放出材を含む、排ガス浄化用触媒。
(CeZr)O2 → (CeZr)O1.5+1/4O2 (1)
一方、リーン雰囲気、すなわち、排ガス中の酸素濃度が高いときには、逆の反応によって酸素が吸蔵される。このような可逆的な酸化還元反応によって排ガス中の空燃比A/Fの変動が吸収され、排ガスの浄化が促進される。これに対し、希土類オキシ硫酸塩(A2O2SO4、Aは希土類元素)を用いた酸素吸放出材では、以下の反応
A2O2SO4 → A2O2S+2O2 (2)
すなわち、希土類オキシ硫酸塩に含まれる硫黄元素の酸化還元反応を介して希土類オキシ硫酸塩が希土類オキシ硫化物に変化することにより酸素が放出され、その逆反応によって酸素が吸蔵される。
本例では、上で調製したプラセオジムのオキシ硫酸塩Pr2O2SO4からなる化合物に白金(Pt)を担持してPt/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材を調製した。まず、白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液1mLを、Pr2O2SO40.4gに対してPtの担持量が1wt%となる濃度において調製した。次いで、上で調製したPr2O2SO4の粉末約0.4gを坩堝に入れ、坩堝をホッティングスターラー上に置き、白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液が乾燥する程度の温度にセットした。坩堝が温まってきた後、白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液を少しずつ滴下しながら乾燥させ、滴下が完了した後、室温で約1時間放置し、乾燥器において120℃の温度で一晩乾燥した。乾燥後の試料を軽くほぐした後、空気中400℃で2時間焼成し、Pt/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材Aを得た。
白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液の代わりにロジウム(Rh)の硝酸塩溶液を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、Rh/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材Bを得た。
白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液の代わりに鉄(Fe)の硝酸塩溶液を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、Fe/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材Cを得た。
白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液の代わりにパラジウム(Pd)の硝酸塩溶液を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、Pd/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材Dを得た。
白金(Pt)の硝酸塩溶液の代わりにニッケル(Ni)の硝酸塩溶液を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、Ni/Pr2O2SO4の酸素吸放出材Eを得た。
本例では、上で調製したPr2O2SO4を金属を担持せずに酸素吸放出材Fとしてそのまま使用した。

- Pr2O2SO4及び/又はPr2O2Sからなる化合物にFeを担持してなり、CO含有ガス中で酸素放出能を有する酸素吸放出材を含む、排ガス浄化用触媒。
