Description
R 1 は水素又はメチル基、R 2 、R 3 は炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基、R 4 は水素、炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基であり、同種でも異種でも良い。Aは酸素またはNH、Bは炭素数2〜4のアルキレン基またはアルコキシレン基、X 1 は陰イオンをそれぞれ表わす。
R 5 は水素又はメチル基、R 6 、R 7 は炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基、X 2 は陰イオンをそれぞれ表わす。
R 8 は水素、メチル基、QはSO 3 、C 6 H 4 SO 3 、CONHC(CH 3 ) 2 CH 2 SO 3 、C 6 H 4 COOあるいはCOO、R 9 は水素、Y 1 は水素または陽イオン。
中ビニル系カチオン性水溶性高分子とイオン的に反応し、より大きなカチオン性に帯電したイオンコンプレックスを生成する。これが製紙原料に作用し、フロックを形成し歩留及び濾水性に寄与する。単なるカチオン性高分子が製紙原料に作用した場合は、架橋吸着作用によるふわふわした巨大フロックを形成するため、せん断力を受けると壊れやすい。本発明のようなイオンコンプレックスでは、微細粒子的な作用により製紙原料を多点で吸着し、強固で締った比較的小さいフロックを形成することができる。カチオン性水溶性高分子とアニオン性水溶性高分子でもイオンコンプレックスは生成するが、カチオン性分子とアニオン性分子が一度に反応するため微細粒子的なイオンコンプレックスが生成しにくいと考えられる。
DMQ:アクリロイルオキシエチルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド、
AAC:アクリル酸、AAM:アクリルアミド、単位:モル%
NO.2にて濾過し測定した。また乾燥後の濾紙は2時間、525℃で焼却し灰分を測定することにより炭酸カルシウムの歩留率を算出した。測定結果を表4に示す。

Claims (5)
- 製紙工程における抄紙前の製紙原料中に、歩留及び/または濾水性向上を目的として、下記一般式(1)及び/又は(2)で表わされる単量体15〜40モル%、非イオン性水溶性単量体60〜85モル%からなる単量体混合物を重合し製造されたビニル系カチオン性水溶性高分子と、アニオン性構成単位のカチオン性構成単位に対する比が1より大きいビニル系両性水溶性高分子とを配合した抄紙用薬剤であり、当該ビニル系両性水溶性高分子が、下記一般式(1)及び/又は(2)で表わされる単量体5〜40モル%、下記一般式(3)で表わされる単量体10〜60モル%、非イオン性水溶性単量体0〜85モル%からなる単量体混合物を重合し製造されたものであることを特徴とする抄紙用薬剤。
R 1 は水素又はメチル基、R 2 、R 3 は炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基、R 4 は水素、炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基であり、同種でも異種でも良い。Aは酸素またはNH、Bは炭素数2〜4のアルキレン基またはアルコキシレン基、X 1 は陰イオンをそれぞれ表わす。
R 5 は水素又はメチル基、R 6 、R 7 は炭素数1〜3のアルキル基、アルコキシ基あるいはベンジル基、X 2 は陰イオンをそれぞれ表わす。
R 8 は水素、メチル基、QはSO 3 、C 6 H 4 SO 3 、CONHC(CH 3 ) 2 CH 2 SO 3 、C 6 H 4 COOあるいはCOO、R 9 は水素、Y 1 は水素または陽イオン。 - 前記ビニル系カチオン性水溶性高分子及び前記ビニル系両性水溶性高分子が塩水溶液中で該塩水溶液に可溶な高分子分散剤共存下で、分散重合法により製造した粒径100μm以下の微粒子からなる分散液、あるいは少なくとも一種類の水と非混和性の炭化水素からなる油状物質、油中水型エマルジョンを形成するに有効な量とHLBを有する少なくとも一種類の界面活性剤を混合し、強攪拌し油中水型エマルジョンを形成させた後、重合し製造された油中水型高分子エマルジョンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の抄紙用薬剤。
- 前記粒径100μm以下の微粒子からなる分散液あるいは油中水型高分子エマルジョンからなるビニル系カチオン性水溶性高分子が、前記一般式(1)及び/又は(2)で表わされる単量体15〜40モル%および非イオン性水溶性単量体60〜85モル%からなる単量体混合物を重合し製造されたものであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の抄紙用薬剤。
- 前記抄紙用薬剤中のビニル系カチオン性水溶性高分子及び前記ビニル系両性水溶性高分子を配合した場合、配合物のカチオン当量値の合計がアニオン当量値の合計より高いことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の抄紙用薬剤。
- 前記抄紙前の製紙原料が中性抄紙新聞用紙のものであるであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の抄紙用薬剤。
