Claims (3)
- 基板の上方に記録層、保護層及び潤滑層が積層された磁気記録媒体であって、
該保護層と接する側の潤滑層はボンド層により形成されると共に、磁気記録媒体の表面側の潤滑層は該ボンド層より該保護層に対する結合力が弱いモバイル層により形成され、
該モバイル層の膜厚の該潤滑層の総膜厚に対する比率は約5%〜約10%の範囲内であり、該モバイル層の表面の凸部の高さは約0.3nm以下であることを特徴とする、磁気記録媒体。 - 磁気記録媒体の保護層上に潤滑層を形成する工程を含む磁気記録媒体の製造方法であって、
該保護層と接する側の潤滑層はボンド層により形成されると共に、磁気記録媒体の表面側の潤滑層は該ボンド層より該保護層に対する結合力が弱いモバイル層により形成され、
該形成工程は、該潤滑層を該保護層にディップ処理により塗布し、ベーク処理により該ボンド層の該保護層に対する結合力を増加させると共に該ボンド層の膜厚を増加させ、その後、リンス工程によって該モバイル層の膜厚を減少させて該モバイル層の膜厚の該潤滑層の総膜厚に対する比率を約5%〜約10%の範囲内とし、該モバイル層の表面の凸部の高さを約0.3nm以下とする工程を含むことを特徴とする、磁気記録媒体の製造方法。 - 該潤滑層はフッ素系材料からなり、該リンス工程はフッ素系溶媒又は純水に該磁気記録媒体を浸漬することを特徴とする、請求項2記載の磁気記録媒体の製造方法。
