Description
この発明は、航空機の翼桁、厚板、翼部分、胴体部分などの大型構造、およびその他の大型構造を製造するための生産システムに関する。より特定的には、この発明は、連続流または脈動流プロセスを用い、加工物がそのプロセス流経路に沿って進む際に加工物に係合され、加工物に装備された位置合せ装置により加工物の割出しをする機械モジュールを用いる非固定基部型の生産システムに関する。
前述などの大型構造は伝統的に、ロボットドリル加工機およびリベット締め機などの大型の固定基部機械を用いて製造される。こうした機械を用いることのいくつかの周知の欠点の中には、機器を取得し取付けるための高い初期設備投資およびそれらが要求する大きく高価な基礎、複雑な機械の動かし方を作業者に訓練するため、また機械を維持および支持するために必要とされるかなりの量の時間および資産、ならびに機械の認証、認定およびメンテナンスの際に機械の生産的な使用ができないことがある。加えて、大型の固定基部機械は、最も主要な製造専門家に最も有効な製造方法であると考えられている連続流製造(CFM)に向いていない。さらに、航空機構造などの大型構造の製造は従来、床組立治具(FAJ)およびジェムコヘッダシステム(Gemcor header systems)など、モデル
に特定の工具を必要とした。こうしたモデルに特定の工具は、新たな航空機を開発するコスト全体のかなりの部分(たとえば約3分の1)になる。
この発明は、CFMまたは脈動流製造プロセスにおいて加工物とともに進むことのできる位置合せシステムを介して加工物と整合する非固定基部機械を用いる生産システムを提供することによって、上述の要求に対処し、その他の利益を達成するものであり、位置合せシステムは加工物に除去可能に設置された位置合せ装置に物理的に位置合せすることによって、加工物に対して機械を正確に置く。この発明の1つの局面に従うと、加工物を製造するための生産システムは、加工物に沿った知られる長手方向に間隔を置かれた場所において加工物に除去可能に設置される複数の位置合せ装置を含む位置合せシステムと、位置合せ装置の少なくとも2つと取外し可能に係合されることによって、位置合せ装置によって加工物に対して位置合せ部材の位置および向きが固定される、長手方向に延在する位置合せ部材とを含み、位置合せ部材に沿って位置を示す特徴が配される。この生産システムは、位置合せ部材に沿った長手方向の移動のために設置され、動作を行なうために動作可能な機械モジュールをさらに含み、機械モジュールは位置合せ部材上の位置を示す特徴
を検出するために動作可能であることによって、加工物に対する機械モジュールの位置を定める。
クランプ締めする対向して相対的に移動可能なクランプ締め部材を有するフレームを含んでもよい。たとえば、クランプ締め配置はOフレームを含んでもよく、その一方の脚にはそれに沿って機械モジュールを駆動するために位置合せ部材を駆動的に係合するための駆動装置が設置される。クランプ締め配置は、生産システムが収容される建物の床の上に支持される基部に設置されてもよく、基部は弾性懸垂を有することによって、基部が鉛直に浮かぶ態様で床に支持されてもよい。したがって、一旦クランプ締め配置が加工物をクランプ締めすると、それは加工物がCFMプロセスなどのプロセス流経路に沿って進む際に加工物とともに運ばれてもよい。
のではなく、一定の圧力の印加によって働く液圧リベットプレスであることが好ましい。液圧リベットプレスは従来のリベッタよりもかなり静かである。この発明の好ましい実施例において、リベッタにはリベットワイヤ切断装置において適切な長さに切断されたリベットワイヤが供給される。切断装置は、ともにリベット締めされる加工物の部品をともにクランプ締めするクランプ締め装置と通信するコントローラによって制御される。クランプ締め装置は接合される部品の積重ね厚さを測定するために動作可能であり、コントローラは測定された積重ね厚さに基づいてリベットワイヤを適切な長さに切断するために切断装置を制御する。切断されたリベットワイヤは次いでリベッタに供給される。生産システムは異なる直径のリベットワイヤが供給される2つまたはそれ以上の切断装置を含んでもよく、コントローラは加工物の特定の穴の場所に対して要求されるリベットの大きさに依存して適切な切断装置を選択する。
この発明について、この発明の好ましい実施例が示された添付の図面を参照しながら以下により完全に説明する。しかし、この発明は多くの異なる形で実施されてもよく、ここに示される実施例に制限されると解釈されるべきではない。これらの実施例は、この開示を完全で完成したものにし、この発明の範囲を当業者に完全に示唆するために提供されるものである。類似の番号は全体を通じて類似の構成要素を示す。
置合せ装置の後部のボアと同様に、シャフト36の末端にはねじ山が切られている。よって、後部35が前部34に対して回転されることによって、前および後部を互いに向けて引張り、翼桁を固くクランプ締めする。もちろん、例示されるピンはピンの多くの可能な構成または用い得る類似の構造の1つの例にすぎないことが理解されるであろう。
初に柔軟である。位置合せアーム66、68は位置合せ装置30をしっかりとクランプ締めするクランプ締め装置70を含む。クランプ締め装置70はHSK型器具ホルダ機構であっても、または位置決め装置30をV溝中にクランプ締めするための急速解放クランプを有する精密V溝などの簡単なものであってもよい。一旦位置合せアームが位置合せ装置をクランプ締めすると、支持62、64はクランプ締め機構72を介して位置合せ部材60をクランプ締めまたは「ロック」し、床摺動65もまた正しい位置にロックされる。システムロックは空気圧、液圧または電気アクチュエータによってもたらされてもよい。よって位置合せ部材60は加工物に対する固定された位置および向きにロックされ、その位置および向きは位置合せアーム66、68によって係合される位置合せ装置30の場所によって指示される。これらの位置合せ装置30の場所は知られているため、加工物に対する位置合せ部材60の位置および向きは知られている。

、前側(すなわち頭部側)液圧ラム160のラム164はリベットRを穴の中に尾部側ラム162に対して圧するよう動作されることにより、図14Hに示されるようにリベットを据込み加工する。両方のラム162、164がここに示されるような取替可能なスナップ式のダイを有することが好ましい。図14Iに示されるとおり、圧力およびクランプフット132、134は次いで加工物部品からクランプを外され、ラム162、164は次のドリル加工およびリベット締め動作に備えるために引込められる。

好ましくは、熱伸長効果を考慮に入れるために、翼桁の成長を測定するためのアルゴリズムには温度補償が含まれるべきである。熱伸長を考慮に入れるための方法は当該技術分野において公知であるため、ここには説明しない。
。この発明は、位置合せ装置30を係合して図3Aおよび3Bに対して説明したものなどの識別子を読取る読取器50と、読取器50およびプロジェクタ300につながれたコントローラまたはその他のコンピュータ290とを提供することによってこの問題に対処する。読取器によって読取られた識別子に基づいて、コンピュータ290は位置合せ装置30に隣接する加工物の区域に関する製造情報を取出すことができ、プロジェクタ300に加工物S上に視覚的な形のそうした情報を投射させることができる。プロジェクタによって投射される特徴の図形描写を加工物の公知の特徴に拡大して合わせるようにプロジェクタ300を位置決めすることが可能である。図26は図25のシステムの変形を示すものであり、ここでは製造情報を表示するためにCRTディスプレイなどのモニタ310が用いられる。他の種類の表示装置が用いられてもよく、また1つよりも多くの種類が一緒に用いられてもよい。
Claims (7)
- 加工物を加工するための生産システムであって、
加工物を保持して加工物をプロセス流経路に沿って輸送するよう動作可能な材料取扱システムと、
加工物に関する知られる位置および向きにおいて加工物に対して固定される位置合せシステムと、
位置合せシステムに接続されて加工物の加工に用いられる1つまたはそれ以上の器具を支持する位置合せ支持システムとを含み、材料取扱システムは加工物をプロセス流経路に沿って移動させ、位置合せシステムを伴う位置合せ支持システムを加工物とともに受動的に輸送させ、
該位置合せ支持システムは、床に沿って摺動する摺動基部を含み、
該生産システムは該摺動基部上に支持されて位置合せシステムに接続される機械をさらに含み、該位置合せシステムは加工物に付けられた1対の位置合せ装置をクランプ締めするよう動作可能な位置合せ部材を含むことにより、該機械を伴う該摺動基部がプロセス流経路に沿って加工物とともに引張られ、該機械は該摺動基部および該機械が加工物とともに移動する際に加工物に1つまたはそれ以上の作業動作を行なうよう動作可能である、生産システム。 - 位置合せ支持システムはゼロバランス装置を含む、請求項1に記載の生産システム。
