Description
上記無機防錆剤(B)は、シリカ粒子及びリン酸化合物と、ニオブ化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物とを含有するものである場合、皮膜中において、シリカ粒子の含有量が8.95〜48.95質量%、リン酸化合物の含有量が0.05〜2.5質量%、ニオブ化合物及びジルコニウム化合物の合計含有量が1〜15質量%であることが好ましい。
基が特に好適であるが、これは皮膜が形成された後に、アルカリ成分により中和され親水化してしまうものである。一方、カルボキシル基以外の親水性基を持たず、その量も極度に少なくした場合には、アルカリに対する溶解は抑制されるものの、極性官能基がほとんど存在しないため、基材との密着性や上塗り塗料との密着性が劣ったものとなる場合がある。本発明は、基材及び上塗り塗料との密着性を確保し、かつ耐アルカリ性に優れた皮膜を得るためには、必要最少量のカルボキシル基のほかに、適当量の水酸基を樹脂に導入することが有効であることが見出したものである。水酸基を導入することによって、密着性を確保しつつ、アルカリに対する溶解性を抑制できる理由は、水酸基が水素結合性又は他の反応性官能基との反応性を有するものであるが、アルカリ成分に対してはカルボキシル基のように溶解性をもたないものであるためであると推察される。
上記シリカ粒子としては特に限定されないが、皮膜が薄膜であることから、一次粒子径が5〜50nmのコロイダルシリカ、ヒュームドシリカ等のシリカ微粒子であることが好ましい。市販品としては、例えば、スノーテックスO、スノーテックスN、スノーテックスC、スノーテックスIPA−ST(日産化学工業)、アデライトAT−20N、AT−20A(旭電化工業)、アエロジル200(日本アエロジル)等を挙げることができる。
上記リン酸化合物としては、例えば、オルトリン酸、メタリン酸、ピロリン酸、三リン酸、四リン酸等のリン酸類及びそれらの塩;アミノトリ(メチレンホスホン酸)、1−ヒドロキシエチリデン−1,1−ジホスホン酸、エチレンジアミンテトラ(メチレンホスホン酸)、ジエチレントリアミンペンタ(メチレンホスホン酸)等のホスホン酸類及びそれらの塩;フィチン酸等の有機リン酸類及びそれらの塩等を挙げることができる。
上記ビグアニジノ基含有化合物としては特に限定されず、例えば、1−o−トリルビグアニド等を挙げることができる。
(1)上記水性樹脂の水分散体を撹拌しながら適宜昇温し、そこへ架橋剤を添加して反応させ、得られる樹脂に、無機防錆剤(B)及び必要に応じて有機防錆剤(C)及び/又は潤滑剤(D)を配合して水性組成物を調製し、更に、必要に応じて他の成分を配合する。
(2)上記水性樹脂の水分散体と無機防錆剤(B)とを撹拌しながら適宜昇温し、そこへ架橋剤を添加して反応させ、冷却後に、必要に応じて、有機防錆剤(C)、潤滑剤(D)等の他の成分を配合する。
無水フタル酸、イソフタル酸及びアジピン酸にネオペンチルグリコール、トリメチロールプロパン及びカージュラE10(ジャパンエポキシレジン社製)を加熱、反応させて得られるポリエステル樹脂をジメチルエタノールアミンで中和し水分散化して調製した。
ビスフェノールA型ジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール及びイソフタル酸から得られるポリエステルジオール、2,2ジメチロールプロピオン酸及びイソホロンジイソシアネートを反応させた後、トリエチルアミンで中和し水分散化して調製した。
アクリル酸、メタクリル酸2エチルヘキシル、アクリル酸ブチルを過酸化物でラジカル共重合して得られるアクリル樹脂を用いてビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂を変性した後、ジメチルエタノールアミンで中和し水分散化して調製した。
エチレン−メタクリル酸共重合樹脂(三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製ニュクレルN2060)を水酸化ナトリウムで中和(全カルボキシル基に対して60当量%)し水分散化して調製した。
表1で示した配合量で、製造例1〜4で得られた樹脂、架橋剤を配合し、更に表2〜5に示した成分を添加することによって水性被覆剤を調製した。
試験板の作成
1mm厚の電気亜鉛めっき鋼板(亜鉛付着量:20g/m2)及び溶融亜鉛めっき鋼板(亜鉛付着量:60g/m2)を60℃のアルカリ脱脂剤(サーフクリーナー155、日本ペイント社製)2%水溶液を用いて30秒間スプレー処理して脱脂した。次に、得られた水性被覆剤をバーコーターで、乾燥皮膜量1g/m2になるように塗布し、雰囲気温度500℃の熱風乾燥炉を用いて所定の到達板温まで焼き付けて試験板を作成した。
耐食性、耐溶剤性(エタノール、ケロシン)、耐アルカリ性、皮膜密着性、及び、塗装密着性を評価した。その結果を表2〜5に示した。評価は下記の方法で行った。
試験板のエッジ、裏面をテープシールし、SST(JIS−Z−2371)試験を行った。120時間後の白錆発生状況を観察し、白錆発生面積%で評価した。
試験板をラビングテスターに設置後、エタノールを含浸させた脱脂綿を0.5kgf/cm2の荷重で10回(往復)、及び、ケロシン含浸させた脱脂綿を0.5kgf/cm2の荷重で50回(往復)擦った後の皮膜状態を下記の評価基準で評価した。
4:擦り面に全く跡が付かない
3:擦り面にわずかに跡が付く
2:擦り面に白い跡が付く
1:擦り面に皮膜がなくなる
試験板を55℃のアルカリ脱脂剤(サーフクリーナー53、日本ペイント社製)2%水溶液(pH12.5)に攪拌しながら30分間浸漬した後の皮膜状態を観察し、皮膜残存面積%で評価した。
試験板をエリクセンテスターにて8mm押し出し加工したのち、押し出し部にセロハンテープ(ニチバン製)を貼り、強制剥離した。試験板をメチルバイオレット染色液に浸漬し、皮膜状態を観察し、皮膜の残存率に応じて評点10(剥離なし)〜1(完全剥離)を与えた。
試験板表面にメラミンアルキッド塗料(スーパーラック100、日本ペイント社製)をバーコーターで乾燥膜厚20μmとなるように塗布し、120℃で25分間焼き付けて塗板を作製した。一昼夜放置後沸騰水中に30分間浸漬し、取り出して1日放置してから、1mm間隔の碁盤目カット疵を入れ、更にエリクセン7mm押し出しを行い、その押し出し部にセロハンテープ(ニチバン製)を貼り、強制剥離した後の塗膜状態を観察し、塗膜の残存率に応じて評点10(剥離なし)〜1(完全剥離)を与えた。
試験板の作成
更に、潤滑剤を使用して表6〜9に示した成分を添加することによって調製した水性被覆剤を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして試験板を作成した。
上述の耐食性、耐溶剤性(エタノール、ケロシン)、耐アルカリ性、皮膜密着性、及び、塗装密着性の評価に加えて、下記の方法に基づき耐傷つき性を評価した。結果を表6〜9に示した。比較例3、4及び7、8についても耐傷つき性を評価した。
試験板をラビングテスターに設置後、直径10mmのステンレス球を、荷重0.5kgf、1回(往復)/secの条件で5回(往復)ラビングした後の試験板表面の傷つき具合を下記の評価基準で評価した。
4:試験板表面に全く傷跡がない。
3:試験板表面にかすかに傷跡が残る。
2:試験板表面に傷跡が残る。
1:試験板表面に金属光沢の傷跡が残る。
Claims (15)
- 金属板の表面に、架橋樹脂マトリックス(A)及び無機防錆剤(B)を含んでなる水性被覆剤を塗布し、乾燥させることにより架橋樹脂マトリックス(A)50〜90質量%及び無機防錆剤(B)10〜50質量%を含んでなる皮膜が形成されている表面処理金属板であって、
前記架橋樹脂マトリックス(A)は、水性樹脂と架橋剤との反応により形成され、アルカリ金属で中和されていないカルボン酸の酸価が0〜30、水酸基価が5〜50であり、
前記水性樹脂がエチレン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体のアルカリ金属中和物であり、中和率が30〜90%の水性ポリオレフィン樹脂であることを特徴とする表面処理金属板。 - 前記架橋剤が、アミノ樹脂、ポリイソシアネート化合物、そのブロック体、エポキシ化合物、カルボジイミド化合物、シラン化合物、架橋性ジルコニウム化合物及びチタン化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の表面処理金属板。
- 前記酸価が10〜20、前記水酸基価が8〜43である請求項1又は2記載の表面処理金属板。
- 金属板の表面に形成されている皮膜は、更に、有機防錆剤(C)0.1〜10質量%を含んでなるものである請求項1、2又は3記載の表面処理金属板。
- 金属板の表面に形成されている皮膜は、更に、潤滑剤(D)0.1〜20質量%を含んでなるものである請求項1、2、3又は4記載の表面処理金属板。
- 前記水性樹脂が更に、水性ポリエステル樹脂、水性ポリウレタン樹脂、水性エポキシ樹脂、水性アクリル樹脂及び水性ポリオレフィン樹脂からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含む請求項1、2、3、4又は5記載の表面処理金属板。
- 無機防錆剤(B)は、シリカ粒子と、リン酸化合物、ニオブ化合物及びジルコニウム化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種とを含有するものである請求項1、2、3、4、5又は6記載の表面処理金属板。
- 皮膜中において、シリカ粒子の含有量が9.95〜49.95質量%、リン酸化合物の含有量が0.05〜2.5質量%である請求項7記載の表面処理金属板。
- 皮膜中において、シリカ粒子の含有量が9〜49質量%、ニオブ化合物及びジルコニウム化合物の合計含有量が1〜15質量%である請求項7記載の表面処理金属板。
- 無機防錆剤(B)は、シリカ粒子及びリン酸化合物と、ニオブ化合物及び/又はジルコニウム化合物とを含有するものである請求項1、2、3、4、5又は6記載の表面処理金属板。
- 皮膜中において、シリカ粒子の含有量が8.95〜48.95質量%、リン酸化合物の含有量が0.05〜2.5質量%、ニオブ化合物及びジルコニウム化合物の合計含有量が1〜15質量%である請求項10記載の表面処理金属板。
- 無機防錆剤(B)は、酸化ニオブ及び/又は酸化ジルコニウムを含有するものである請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10又は11記載の表面処理金属板。
- 酸化ニオブが、酸化ニオブコロイド粒子である請求項12記載の表面処理金属板。
- 有機防錆剤(C)は、グアニジノ基含有化合物、ビグアニジノ基含有化合物及びチオカルボニル基含有化合物からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である請求項4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11、12又は13記載の表面処理金属板。
- 潤滑剤(D)は、ポリオレフィンワックス及びその誘導体、並びに、シリコーン及びその誘導体からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である請求項5、6、7、8、9、10、11、12、13又は14記載の表面処理金属板。
