Claims (10)
- 出力ノードを有し、前記出力ノードにおける電圧レベルを、供給される基準信号によって設定される値に調整するように動作する調整装置において、
前記基準信号を受け取るように動作して、前記出力ノードにおける現在の電圧レベルが前記基準信号によって設定される前記出力ノードにおける所望の電圧レベルよりも低い場合に、前記出力ノードに電流を供給可能である線形増幅器段と、
前記線形増幅器段によって制御されて、前記線形増幅器段によって前記出力ノードに供給される電流の量が所定の閾値を超える場合に、前記出力ノードに電流を供給するように動作するスイッチングレギュレータとを備え、
前記線形増幅器段は、
前記基準信号を受け取り、前記基準信号と前記出力ノードにおける前記電圧レベルとの差分を示す出力信号を生成する誤差増幅器と、
前記誤差増幅器に接続されて前記誤差増幅器の出力信号を受け取り、前記誤差増幅器の出力信号によって制御される線形増幅器と、
前記線形増幅器に接続され、前記線形増幅器段によって前記出力ノードに供給される電流レベルに応じて変化する電圧降下を有するセンス抵抗とを備え、
前記スイッチングレギュレータは、
前記センス抵抗の両端に接続された入力を有する第1のコンパレータと、
前記線形増幅器に接続された第2のコンパレータと、
前記第1のコンパレータに接続され、前記第1のコンパレータによって動作を制御される第1のスイッチと、
前記第2のコンパレータに接続され、前記第2のコンパレータによって動作を制御される第2のスイッチと、
前記第2のスイッチと並列に接続されたインダクタと、
ダイオードとを備える
ことを特徴とする調整装置。 - 前記第1のスイッチは、電源と前記インダクタの第1のリードとの間に接続され、前記インダクタの第2のリードは、前記出力ノードに接続され、前記ダイオードは、前記第1のスイッチと前記インダクタとの共有リードに接続されている
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第1のスイッチが作動された場合、前記電源から前記出力ノードに電流が供給され、前記第1のスイッチが停止された場合、前記第1のスイッチを介して前記出力ノードに電流が流れない
ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第1のコンパレータは、前記センス抵抗における電圧降下を監視し、前記電圧降下が所定の値を越える場合、前記第1のコンパレータは、状態を変化させて前記第1のスイッチを作動させる
ことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第2のスイッチが作動された場合、前記第2のスイッチおよび前記インダクタは、前記インダクタに保持された電流が前記第2のスイッチを再循環するような閉回路を構成し、前記第2のスイッチが停止された場合、前記インダクタは前記出力ノードに電流を供給することが可能である
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第2のコンパレータは、前記線形増幅器に供給される電圧を監視し、前記線形増幅器に供給される電圧が所定の値よりも低くなった場合、前記第2のコンパレータは、状態を変化させて前記第2のスイッチを作動させる
ことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第1のコンパレータおよび前記第2のコンパレータは、出力状態の変化について、ヒステリシス特性を示す
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。 - 前記線形増幅器は、NPNトランジスタを含む
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。 - 前記第1のスイッチはpMOSトランジスタを含み、前記第2のスイッチはnMOSトランジスタを含み、前記nMOSトランジスタはグランドに接続されたボディ端子を有する
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。 - 前記ダイオードはアクティブダイオードを含む
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の調整装置。
