Claims (15)
- 鉱物学的変換プロセスにおいて、アスベストをアスベストを含まない鉱物に変換できる速度を高める方法であって、
アスベスト廃棄物の袋全体を細切して鉱化剤吸収に利用可能な表面積を高める段階;細切されたアスベストを鉱化剤で飽和させる段階;鉱化剤で飽和させたアスベストを圧縮して密度を高めることで、熱伝導性を高める段階;圧縮されたアスベストを砕いてより小さい粒子とすることで熱伝達速度を高める段階;破砕された粒子を炉床上に広げることで、一定で予測可能な変換速度が得られるようにする段階;炉内の特定の部分で前記アスベストに強い直火を当てる段階;ならびに変換された製造物を高温の間に輸送手段により輸送し、前記輸送手段を筐体に収容してアスベスト飛散物の放出を防ぐ段階を有することを特徴とする前記方法。 - 前記袋および入っているアスベストを細切して粒径を小さくし、鉱化剤の吸収を高める請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アスベストを圧縮してレンガとすることで、熱伝導性を高める請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アスベストレンガを、前記変換システム内で砕いてより小さい粒子とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記砕かれたアスベストを前記炉床上に均等に広げることで、加熱の均一性を高める請求項1に記載の方法。
- バーナーからの火炎を変換させるアスベストに直接向けることで、前記工程終了後の変換率を高める請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記変換されたアスベストを高温条件で取り出して変換の延長を促進し、密閉収容することでアスベスト飛散物の放出を防止する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 鉱物学的変換プロセス内でのアスベスト含有材料の非アスベスト鉱物への変換を促進するシステムであって、
アスベスト粒子の大きさを小さくし、鉱化剤で飽和させるユニット;
鉱化剤で飽和させた前記アスベストの密度および熱伝導性を高めるための圧縮ユニット;
圧縮されたアスベスト塊を変換システム内で砕くためのユニット;
砕かれたアスベスト粒子を炉床上に均等に拡散させるユニット;
変換すべきアスベストに火炎を直接向けることで工程終了後の変換率を高める燃料バーナー;ならびに
変換されたアスベストを高温条件下で輸送する輸送手段と、前記輸送手段を収容してアスベスト飛散物の放出を防ぐための筐体からなるユニット
を有することを特徴とする前記システム。 - 前記圧縮塊を砕くためのユニットが、複数の刃が延在する第1のシャフトを有しており、前記シャフトが前記炉床より上方に位置している請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記拡散ユニットが、複数の刃を有する第2のシャフトを有しており、前記シャフトが前記炉床より上方に位置していることで、前記炉床上に砕かれたアスベスト粒子を広げるようになっている請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1のシャフトが第1の方向に回転し、前記第2のシャフトが前記第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に回転する請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の方向が前記炉床を通る前記粒子の流れの方向であり、前記第2の方向が前記炉床を通る粒子の流れの方向とは反対の方向である請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記圧縮ユニットがオーガー、スクリューコンベア、プレス、ラムおよび押出機のうちの一つを有する請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記圧縮ユニットが前記材料を641〜961kg/m3(40〜60ポンド/立方フィート)の最小密度まで圧縮する請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記最小密度が801kg/m3(50ポンド/立方フィート)を含む請求項14に記載のシステム。
