(1.発明の分野)
本発明は、超音波変換器ハウジング内のカップリング流体(例えば、脱気水)を保持するためのシーリングデバイスに関する。
超音波変換器は、これらの波が、類似する音響特性の2つの材料間の境界を越えるときに、超音波の反射と屈折を最小にするための、患者に対して変換器を接続するためのカップリング媒体を必要とする。診断用の超音波デバイスまたは治療用の超音波デバイスのいずれかのために、患者に変換器をカップリングする際の最大の問題の1つは、空気の存在である。カップリング因子を使用して、変換器と患者との間の気泡が排除される。診断目的のためには、鉱油、ヒドロゲル、そして水でさえもが、変換器を患者にカップリングするために使用され得る。治療手順において、カップリング因子は、微細な気泡さえも排除されるように、より厳密に制御されるべきである。
製造に費用がかからず、そして、変換器ハウジング内に迅速かつ容易に取り付けられ得る、シールを提供することが、本発明の1つの目的である。
本発明のデバイスは、ディスポーザブルの変換器シール(seal)である。このシールは、脂肪組織の縮小または切除のような、美容的な用途のためのHIFU治療システムと共に使用するために設計される。このシールは、膜、保持具、および、このシールを変換器ハウジングに取り付けるための手段を備える。変換器ハウジングは、カップリング流体(例えば、脱気水)のための間隙空間を有する、逆さ向きのカップと似た形状である。このシールは、超音波手順の間に、水が患者にこぼれることなく、間隙空間に脱気水を保持するために使用される。このシールは、気密シール、および膜の反対側での異なる流体の交差汚染を防ぐための障壁の両方を提供することが意図される。
Claims (3)
- HIFU治療装置であって、
開口部を有する、カップ形状のハウジング;
該ハウジングの内部に配置されるモータアセンブリ;
HIFU変換器であって、該HIFU変換器は、該変換器が該カップ形状のハウジングと整列して、超音波エネルギーを該開口部に通すように方向付けるように、該ハウジング内に配置され、該変換器は、該モータアセンブリによって移動可能である、HIFU変換器;
張られた膜および保持具を有するシールであって、該膜は、超音波エネルギーに対して実質的に透過性であり、該保持具は、該張られた膜を所望の形状に保持するためのものであり、該シールは、該シールと該ハウジングとの間に水が漏れないシールを形成するように、取り外し可能に該ハウジング全体と係合し、そして該開口部を覆う、シール;ならびに
該カップ形状のハウジングに対する該シールの適切な配置を決定するための認識デバイスであって、該認識デバイスは、該シールと該ハウジングとが適切に係合するまで該変換器が作動することを防止するための安全ロックとして働く、認識デバイス、
を備える、HIFU治療装置。 - 前記膜が、熱形成可能なポリイミドである、請求項1に記載のHIFU治療装置。
