Description
以下に本発明を図示の実施例に則して詳細に説明する。本発明のそれぞれの特徴は単独でも任意に組み合わせても本発明の対象となりうる。
Claims (10)
- 予熱可能な複数の電極(E1,E2)を有する放電灯(LA)用の電子点灯装置であって、
電子点灯装置は、
接続されている放電灯(LA)の少なくとも1つの電極につき、予熱過程において予熱によって高められた電極温度に相関するパラメータ(RW,UKL2)を測定する測定回路(M)と、
少なくとも1つの電極の抵抗の実際値すなわち熱間抵抗(RW)と抵抗の初期値すなわち冷間抵抗(RK)との商(RW/RK)を求めるように構成されている制御回路(C)と、
熱間抵抗(RW)と冷間抵抗(RK)との商(RW/RK)の複数の標準値を格納したメモリ装置と
を有する、放電灯用の電子点灯装置において、
前記制御回路(C)は、求められた熱間抵抗(RW)と冷間抵抗(RK)との商(RW/RK)と該商(RW/RK)に対応する標準値との差に比例して加熱電流の変化分を選定する
ことを特徴とする放電灯用の電子点灯装置。 - 測定回路(M)は少なくとも1つの電極の電極温度を繰り返し測定するように構成されている、請求項1記載の装置。
- 電極温度に相関するパラメータは抵抗値である、請求項1または2記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1つの電極の熱間抵抗(RW)と冷間抵抗(RK)との商(RW/RK)が上方閾値を上回る場合に放電が点弧される、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 上方閾値は4以上7以下である、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 制御回路(C)は予熱過程において電極温度に相関するパラメータ(RW,UKL2)が単調な特性から偏差した場合に放電を点弧するように構成されている、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 電極温度に相関するパラメータは少なくとも1つの電極にかかる電圧(UKL2)である、請求項6記載の装置。
- 測定回路(M)は少なくとも1つの電極の電極温度に相関するパラメータ(RW,U)を少なくとも100msごとに測定するように構成されている、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 前記メモリ装置には、放電灯のタイプごとに異なる電極温度に相関するパラメータの標準値が格納されており、測定回路(M)は、電子点灯装置のスイッチオン後、電極の予熱過程の開始前に、少なくとも1つの電極の冷間抵抗(RK)を測定し、該冷間抵抗に基づいて当該の放電灯のタイプを検出し、検出された放電灯のタイプに相応する標準値を予熱過程のあいだ制御回路(C)の比較の尺度として選択するように構成されている、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
- 低圧放電灯(LA)を駆動する、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の装置。
