Description
A)基材の周り全体に、耐摩耗性を有するチタン非含有の被覆を付与するステップと、
B)前記チタン非含有の被覆の周り全体に、チタン含有の被覆を付与するステップと、
C)前記チタン含有の被覆の頂部を除去し、前記底部の支持表面及び前記周囲表面が前記チタン含有の被覆によって形成されると共に、前記頂部の支持表面が前記チタン非含有の被覆によって形成されるようにするステップと、を含む。
本発明は、図1に示されている長穴加工用ドリル1に関する。本発明による長穴加工用ドリルは、ドリルヘッド本体と、これと一体的に形成された接続部3とを備え、接続部3は従来型の雄ネジ部を備えている。接続部3は、通常、雄ネジ部を介して、ドリルチューブ(図示せず)に接続され、さらにドリルチューブは、適宜の支持装置によって担持されている。ドリルヘッド1は、通常のように、切削インサート7を具備している。

Claims (14)
- 底部の支持表面と、頂部の摩耗表面と、該支持表面と該摩耗表面との間に設けられた周囲表面とを備え、前記支持表面及び前記周囲表面が、耐摩耗性を有したチタン含有の被覆によって形成されていると共に、前記摩耗表面が耐摩耗性を有したチタン非含有の被覆によって形成されていることを特徴とする、長穴加工用ドリルヘッドに使用するのに適した支持パッド。
- 前記支持パッドは、アンダーコートによって全体を取り囲まれた超硬合金製基本本体をさらに備え、チタン非含有の被覆が前記アンダーコートを完全に取り囲んでいる、請求項1に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記アンダーコートはチタンを含んでいる、請求項2に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン含有の被覆は、前記チタン非含有の被覆と異なる色を有している、請求項1に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン非含有の被覆はAl2O3を含んでいる、請求項4に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン非含有の被覆の厚さは2μm〜5μmである、請求項5に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン含有の被覆はTiNを含んでいる、請求項6に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン含有の被覆の厚さは0.5μm〜2μmである、請求項7に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記チタン含有の被覆はTiNを含んでいる、請求項4に記載の支持パッド。
- 前記支持パッドは、180°回転させられると割り出し可能となるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の支持パッド。
- 長穴加工用ドリルヘッドのための支持パッドを製造する方法であって、該支持パッドが、底部の支持表面と、頂部の摩耗表面と、該摩耗表面と該支持表面との間に設けられた周囲表面とを備え、該方法は、
A)基材の周り全体に、耐摩耗性を有したチタン非含有の被覆を付与するステップと、
B)前記チタン非含有の被覆の周り全体に、耐摩耗性を有したチタン含有の被覆を付与するステップと、
C)前記チタン含有の被覆の頂部を除去し、前記底部の支持表面と前記周囲表面とが、前記チタン含有の被覆によって形成されると共に、前記頂部の摩耗表面が、前記チタン非含有の被覆によって形成されるようにするステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする、長穴加工用ドリルヘッドのための支持パッドを製造する方法。 - 前記ステップAは、チタン含有の被覆で全体を覆われた超硬合金基本本体によって構成される基体の周りに、チタン非含有の被覆を付与するステップからなる、請求項11に記載の長穴加工用ドリルヘッドのための支持パッドを製造する方法。
- 前記チタン非含有の被覆の色は前記チタン含有の被覆の色と異なる、請求項12に記載の長穴加工用ドリルヘッドのための支持パッドを製造する方法。
- ドリルヘッド本体と、
前記ドリルヘッド本体に取り付けられる切削インサートと、
前記ドリルヘッド本体の外周に取り付けられる少なくとも一つの支持パッドと、
を備え、該支持パッドが、底部の支持表面と、頂部の摩耗表面と、該支持表面と該摩耗表面との間に設けられた周囲表面とを備え、前記支持表面及び前記周囲表面が耐摩耗性を有したチタン含有の被覆によって形成されていると共に、前記摩耗表面が耐摩耗性を有したチタン非含有の被覆によって形成されていることを特徴とする、長穴ドリル加工用ドリルヘッド。
