Description
2H2O + 2e− → H2 + 2OH−
電解室3a,3bの間には陰イオン交換膜が隔膜2として配設されているので、前記ナトリウムイオンは前記陰イオン交換膜に阻止されて陽極側電解室3bに移動することができず、塩素イオンのみが陽極側電解室3bに移動する。この結果、陽極側電解室3bでは、次式に示すように、塩素イオンから生成した塩素(Cl2)がさらに水と反応して次亜塩素酸(HClO)を生成する一方、水の電解により酸素(O2)と水素イオン(H+)とが生成し、酸性の電解水が得られる。
Cl2 + 2H2O → 2HClO + 2H+
H2O → 1/2O2 + 2H+ + 2e−
従って、電解水取出導管9により、陽極側電解室3bの上部から、次亜塩素酸を含む酸性の電解水を取り出すことができる。このとき、前述のようにナトリウムイオンは陽極側電解室3bに移動することができないので、前記酸性の電解水は実質的に塩化ナトリウムを含んでおらず、金属の腐食促進を防止することができる。また、陰極側電解室3aでは、前記塩化ナトリウム水溶液が電解質水溶液循環系5により循環されているので、生成したアルカリ性の電解水は該塩化ナトリウム水溶液に流入して循環されることとなり、捨て水となることがない。
Claims (8)
- イオン透過性の隔膜を介して対向配置された1対の電解室の第1の電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させると共に、第2の電解室のみに原水を供給し、該隔膜を挟んで各電解室に設けられた1対の電極に電圧を印加して該原水及び電解質水溶液を電解することにより、第2の電解室で生成した電解水を取り出す電解水の生成方法において、
該電解の際の通電量から該電解質水溶液の反応量を算出し、算出された反応量に応じて該電解質水溶液に濃度調整剤を添加することにより、該第1の電解室に循環される該電解質水溶液の濃度を所定の範囲に維持することを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。 - 請求項1記載の電解水の生成方法において、前記隔膜は陰イオン交換膜であり、陰極側電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させると共に、陽極側電解室のみに原水を供給し、該陽極側電解室で生成した酸性の電解水を取り出すことを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。
- 請求項2記載の電解水の生成方法において、前記電解質水溶液は塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液であり、該塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液に塩酸を添加することにより、該塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液の濃度を所定の範囲に維持することを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。
- 請求項3記載の電解水の生成方法において、前記塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液のpHを測定し、得られた測定値が所定の基準値よりも大きいときには、該塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液に塩酸を添加して該塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液のpHが該基準値より小さくなるようにすることにより、該塩化ナトリウム水溶液または塩化カリウム水溶液の濃度を所定の範囲に維持することを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。
- 請求項1記載の電解水の生成方法において、前記隔膜は陰イオン交換膜であり、陽極側電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させると共に、陰極側電解室のみに原水を供給し、該陰極側電解室で生成したアルカリ性の電解水を取り出すことを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。
- 請求項1記載の電解水の生成方法において、前記隔膜は陽イオン交換膜であり、陽極側電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させると共に、陰極側電解室のみに原水を供給し、該陰極側電解室で生成したアルカリ性の電解水を取り出すことを特徴とする電解水の生成方法。
- イオン透過性の隔膜を介して対向配置された1対の電解室と、第1の電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させる電解質水溶液循環手段と、第2の電解室のみに原水を供給する原水供給手段と、該隔膜を挟んで各電解室に設けられた1対の電極と、両電極に電圧を印加して該原水及び電解質水溶液を電解することにより、第2の電解室で生成した電解水を取り出す電解水取出手段とを備える電解水生成装置において、
前記電解質水溶液循環手段は、該電解の際の通電量から該電解質水溶液の反応量を算出し、算出された反応量に応じて該電解質水溶液に濃度調整剤を添加することにより、該第1の電解室に循環される該電解質水溶液の濃度を所定の範囲に維持する濃度維持手段を備えることを特徴とする電解水生成装置。 - 請求項7記載の電解水生成装置において、前記隔膜は陰イオン交換膜であり、陰極側電解室に電解質水溶液を循環させる電解質水溶液循環手段と、陽極側電解室のみに原水を供給する原水供給手段と、該陽極側電解室で生成した酸性の電解水を取り出す電解水取出手段とを備えることを特徴とする電解水生成装置。
